I have had a recent bout with hives. This is my first reaction to hives lasting more than a few days. I was worried about it because I had a one night stand in Europe about 6 wks ago. The condom broke and afterward I developed a UTI. (The symptoms were very mild for the UTI so I didn't go to the dr. till about a week after my trip. That means I could have had the UTI for at least a few days before it got treated.) I also a yeast infection and took generic diflucan for this.
I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.

Since these red splotches appear and disappear, so they can be hives. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. I have fibromyalgia, lupus, a fungus in my esphogus that has had we courses of Diflucan and is still there. Could you maybe shed some light or make a suggestion. I know that this is just thoughts and not intended for my use in treatment. I am just at a loss. I have also had 2 blood transfusion and 1 iron transfusion in the last 6 months.
Blood and urine testing - Neg HepABC, HIV, Syphilis. No mention of G/C???
Urologist would not test for Trich because he said it rarely caused infections in men. He is testing for G/C No results yet.
4-5 weeks after treatment I developed daily breakouts of hives on my arms and lower legs

1.) I plan to test for herpes at 4 months. Can the 10 days of 500mg Valtrex 3x daily delay my seroconversion for herpes?
So yesterday I took one dose of diflucan which is an antibiotic when I looked up the interactions it said it has a major reaction with xanax... its been over 12 hours since I took the diflucan... does anyone know if I can start taking my xanax now.
since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.

m currently treating a vaginal yeast infection and was wondering what your experiences were with Diflucan? How long does a typical yeast infection last? The itching and burning have subsided, and I took my first diflucan pill Sunday (doc gave me 4). I'm also using Vagisil for itching and irritated skin! Thanks!
I took an std test for chlamydia and gonnorea and they both came back negative but the doctor gave diflucan thinking it might be a yeast infection. It worked for about a week and then the burning came back. The doctor then gave me doxycycline( 10 days 2 pills easch day) and said that this should work. It works a little but he said it might take a week and its been six days. I have a couple of questions.

question ladies...i took my diflucan pill on monday, but i wanted to know is a white discharge a side effect of the pill? i have taking diflucan multiple times before, but i never bothered those times to actually look and see what was going on down there. this time i did and it seems like a white discharge is coming out...someone told me that was the yeast mixing w/the medicine coming out. is that true?
Hi...candida is yeast and it can cause all types of issues...DIFLUCAN is one of the best meds I know to help rid someone of excess yeast. There r also diet changes that can also help.....
I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, and DIFLUCAN is the only thing that helps.
As far as dosage, sorry I can not help...I would suggest asking a Pharmacist as they know meds and interaction and reactions better then most drs.

Well within one hour my entire body, every part head to toe was bright red and covered in severely itchy hives. Since returning home I have seen 3 doctors who all say that the solumedrol would not have caused the hives, but there's not one other thing I can think of that could have done this. I'm still using creams and Benedryl but without relief. I haven't slept more than 2 hours in over a week.
I thought I was having a yeast infection and took diflucan 10 days ago which majorly lessened symptoms. The symptoms never went away fully so my doc called in another diflucan today. I decided to take a look with a magnifying mirror and saw what looked to possibly be a few very small lesions just under the clitoris they are not painful to the touch and look exactly the same as they did ten days ago.
I have had intense vaginal itching for a couple of weeks now. I went to my gyno and she said I definitely had a yeast infection and gave me 2 Diflucan. I've taken both, and I STILL have this intense itch. It doesn't last all day, but comes in bouts and it's driving me crazy! Whether or not I scratch, I will get a cluster of bumps and hives in the itchy area within 10-15 minutes. The bumps will either be small and skin-toned in color or red. They resemble my keratosis pilaris (upper arms only) after being scratched or picked at. I believe the hives result mostly from any rubbing or pressure - it's the bumps that concern me. They last several hours and are extremely itchy and burn badly. And of course, they LOOK awful.
After that the doctor checked me out as fine but gave me diflucan. It worked only a little, and here I am 6 months later, and 4 diflucan pills later, its constantly in my underwear making me feel wet all the time, its so uncomfortable and embarressing, I just want help :((((( please soomeone! I've tried everything from cotton underwear to loose clothing to no sex, I just want to have sex and not be scared that I'm "too wet" and its showing up on his privates or the bed sheets.
before she had always given me the diflucan pill and it went away right away. however, this time she gave me the cream and i used it for the 7days like she said and didnt have sex w my bf at all. after the 7th day of using the terconazole cream my bf and i had sex w a condom. the next few days it felt a lil irritated, but i thought it was maybe due to the sex. i then noticed a slight discharge, but thought nothing of it cus it looked like normal discharge...so i thought.
Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool.
Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise! Yeast was back. So I went to the doctor and this time they did a "wet mount" turns out I had BV and Yeast together.
Okay I've had yellow discahrge and burning since last July. I've been tested for STI's all were negative. Well last Friday my girlfriend took me to the hospital because of the burning and the pain the hospital tested for trich yeast gonherra and chlymidia. They said it was all negative and sent me home. Well I went to my gyno Tuesday and she checked me for yeast and said I had a horrible yeast infection that I had to have for months.
