I thought I was having a yeast infection and took diflucan 10 days ago which majorly lessened symptoms. The symptoms never went away fully so my doc called in another diflucan today. I decided to take a look with a magnifying mirror and saw what looked to possibly be a few very small lesions just under the clitoris they are not painful to the touch and look exactly the same as they did ten days ago.
I have constant yeast infections and I know that I have herpes. I do not want to have sex with my husband because I am constantly suffering with yeast infections. It is very upsetting to me. I want to enjoy having sex with my husband, but I can't. I rarely have sex. Everytime we have sex I get irritable and land up with an yeast infection. I have this unbareable itch. It has ruined my sex life.
i went to a dermatologist and she said that the valtrex 1g should have worked and she doesnt believe its herpes.she gave me diflucan 150 and it went away. 2 weeks later it came back. i was now convinced its herpes. i went to an obgyn and she saw lots of discharge and told me i have yeast. i took diflucan again. it went away. again it came back, burning sensation, stinging. my lesions are in the same place inside my labia minora. she tested me for herpes and im positive for hsv1.
I went back to the doctor, he gave me diflucan, She also got diflucan. After three days on the diflucan, her symptoms were gone and mine were 90% gone. I then began to apply a diluted vinegar solution. The symptoms were gone for a few days, including the redness, but then they came back. Not as bad as before, but still there.
At that point he screened for claymidia and gonnorea, and gave me the zpac. I continued diflucan and vinegar, with the sympmtoms almost, but not quite, vanishing again.
no odor or sores. The doctor gave me 1 diflucan pill...3 days later still had symptoms. I took 1 more diflucan pill. The symptoms were not as bad but still present. I went to the doctor and got an std screening (cultures only no blood tests) and a general culture for yeast or a UTI. She gave me the 5 day treatment for diflucan because she said to her it looked yeasty inside my vagina. The cultures came back negative for a UTI, bacterial infection, yeast infection, chlamydia and ghonorrea.
So much anxiety and being so down thinking it is herpes or an STD especially herpes I am worried about I just do not understand why it burns so much and when I walk around it is just so uncomfortable like manageable to walk but not a nice feeling. PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS HAD SIMILAR SYMPTOMS OR WOULD KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON just for a little piece of mind do not know when I will go to the doctor since I have been going there nonstop and getting nothing out of it.
On May 2nd, I was treated for gonnorhea with a shot of rociphine and 1,000 mg azithromycin. About a week later, I went back to my doctor having burning, itching, and irritation. I was given Diflucan to take one pill every other day for 6 days. After finishing that, I still didn't feel better. Called my doctor this time and they told me to buy Monistat 7 and try that to see if symptoms cleared up. After those 7 days, I still wasn't feeling better.
I visited a urologist who took a swab test(turned out mild bacteria) and put me on diflucan and advised me to get circumcised once cleared as he diagnosed phimosis.Post taking diflucan my urination increased and mild testicle ache strtd. I got circumcised the following week now its 2 weeks. I am having mild fever and a slight sore in my throat post circumcision.
I immediately went in to see my doctor, and she said that she saw the redness, but highly doubted it was herpes, but took a culture anyway. She also gave me a vaginal exam, and took a sample and said that she saw some yeast, so she gave me diflucan and sent me on my way.
Here is were my head explodes: 3 weeks ago, I had my boyfriend take a Herpeselect test. It was conducted well within the appropriate time range (5 months after he last even kissed anyone).
I went to my doctor, who swabbed, and gave me a prescription for Diflucan (2 doses). The next day I received an email stated that the swab tested negative for yeast and fungus, but the doctor explained that my clinical presentation was so "classic" that he believed my symptoms would still go away with the Diflucan treatment.
I consulted a doctor and was told that it would not help to prescribe the diflucan until I was done with the meds. One week ago I took the diflucan and now I have a sore by my peritoneum, I am so scared because I dont want to have genital herpes. I never had this happen before. When I had the yeast infection it was very bad and my vagina and by my anus was very itcy, red and sore. I am still having a little discharge but the itching is gone. I think that the sore came from the yeast infection.
I took antibiotics the week before for Christmas for a sinus infection and had to take diflucan because I thought I was developing a yeast infection on the antibiotics. I started feeling better and then last week I started itching agajn and noticed red bumps appearing on my Labia and they started to become a little tender. I did two more rounds of diflucan this past week. I even had a full STD panel done and it was all negative. I had the same panel done in Sept and the numbers are the same.
ve been tested for everything else under the sun as far as STDs go, my paranoid mind has set itself on herpes and I can't shake the thought.
My discharge at this point is clear, but with white chunks in it. I don't know how normal that is for me because to be honest I never really paid any attention before.
There are no lesions. Anywhere. Absolutely none (I've looked obsessively for a month). Not even really any red/irritated looking areas that I can see.
m a 39 old female, who received unprotected cunningulis from a guy about a month ago, as a result from this brief and stupid encounter, about 2 weeks ago I ended up at my gynecologist because I was extremely irritated in my vagina, specially in the opening of it, my clitoris, my labia, I told him what concerns I had, he pretty much calm me down, gave me diflucan for yeast, made culture for clamydia and gonorrea, came back negative, I was worried about herpes, he looked visually said no to that
This time I had a small cut-like lesion but no papules, vesicles, or bumps. After about 3 or 4 days it went away (I took diflucan). I saw my gyn a few weeks later. No symptoms, I
just wanted a blood test. She called to tell me today that I have herpes but she cannot distinguish the type or date I was exposed. She said I don't need to do anything unless I develop symptoms. Seems weird to me. Here are my results:
HSV type 1 IgG antibody > 5.0
HSV type 2 IgG antibody 0.
On November 26 I began experiencing severe vaginal burning. The next day it was combined with vaginal itching and extreme redness. I treated myself for a yeast infection with an ovule and with cream. That evening I also took my best friend's Diflucan. On December 1 I still had similar symptoms including red areas on my vagina and even slight bleeding which I though were from scratching.
I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.
The IgM test can also be falsely positive because it confuses other things with herpes simplex, like some of the other herpes viruses. I've had several patients who have had positive IgM tests and never had a positive IgG for HSV 1 or HSV 2, ever. So the IgM can often be a red herring. However, it isn't wrong every time, just often.
I had never had any vaginal complications before, so I raced to an NP who prescribed me Diflucan (which would eventually clear me up within the week).
Panicked, paranoid, and impatient for the Diflucan to work, however, I then decided to get tested for STDs the next day just to be "sure" (why I thought I knew better than a specialist, I don't know). All non-HSV results came back negative. My HSV results were as follows:
HSV 1 IgG: <.91 (negative)
HSV 2 IgG: <.
It sounds as though it could possibly be herpes? You could google herpes and see what they look like and compare to what you have. Have you been to an obgyn? I would definitely suggest that. If it was a yeast infection the diflucan and creams should have worked. I"ve never heard of open sores with a yeast infection. I hope you start to feel better soon. I know it must be very painful. Let us know!!
Definitely go to your GYN you may need some diflucan which is a strong pill that cures severe yeast infections. They more than likely will do a swab or take a blood sample to be thorough but the diflucan can still be given until they get your results back.
I did recently have an std test for everything except herpes...i came back clean...and my doctor did not test for herpes because he said that it would not only show up in my girlfriend's pap smear, but that this simply was obviously not herpes--at least according to him...and i don't think it is either...

there is currently and have been since the beginning an inflamed red ring around the bottom of my glans...
So about 2 months ago I had an outbreak and learned I had general herpes. One month ago I developed oral thrush. I have taken a suspension, diflucan, and lozenge and the thrush is not improving.
I was concerned there could be something larger wrong since the herpes and thrush issues started. I got a CBC, thyroid, blood sugar, mono and strep test- all results fine. My doctor wants me to go to the ENT next.
I had my annual in April and hiv test was negative...
I tried to rub them out, but they got more irritated and more reddish. I went to another doctor who prescribed one dose of diflucan and Lamisil. Diflucan 150 mg seem to take all the irritation out, but left the skin very chapped and scaley. After a couple of days, the redness came back and now I have this reddish irritation also under the tip of the penis. So another doctor prescribed diflucan 100 mg for 7 days + Lotrisone, which is apparently a combination of two medicines.
