Hi mandykitkat, Me too I was put on Diflucan and started bleeding three days after even though my period is not due for another week or so. The bleeding was light for the first week and very heavy for the last two weeks. I went to see an OBGYN and she took a simple and blood work...I have very painful and tender womb now still bleeding and awaiting the lab results. Please any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have been reading about the types cause cancer for men are rare, and the virus mostly will resolved by its own within 2 years for most of infected people, and it turns to cancer for people who have weak immunity system and smoke a lot, knowing that the last exposure was 6 months ago or more, and i have not had any symptoms such as warts or anything. My concern is about the virus being undetected and turns to cancer suddenly after many years.

I am currently being treated with Diflucan and Cipro for an existing yeast problem. I am taking Diflucan for 30 days and Cipro for 10 days. This will give me some relief for about three or four months and then I will need to treat the problem again. Questions: Should I change the Diflucan/Cipro time schedule or try different drugs? Any other suggestion would be very much appreciated. I should note that I take enzymes with each meal (Digest Gold and Fenol) Thanks for any help, Sam.

What is the usual dosage for treatment of toenail fungus with Diflucan? My doctor prescribed it to me and it just seems to be different than normal. He said to take 100 mg/daily for the first 10 days of each month until it's gone. Is that a normal regimen?

ve search on the internet and i found out about the Diflucan, that according to them will get rid of the yeast infection for just one dose, so we bought it and me and my husband took it, but it's been 3 days now and i still have the white discharge, does anybody tried Diflucan before? and how long it will take effect? or does it mean that it will not work on me? i don't want to try creams because it's messy.

I've had a persistent yeast infection almost every month for nearly 3 years. I've had it tested over 5 times so I know it's candida with certainty. Diflucan sometimes helps for a short while, most of the time not at all. I'm trying it once more and thought maybe trying the miconazole suppositories a few days after the Diflucan may help. What's your opinion on this idea? Does anyone have any advice on recurrent yeast infections?

All three times I, as well as my female partner have tested negative for all STDs. The urologist said to try diflucan first to see if it is a yeast infection, then if the symptoms persisted, take medication for possible trichomoniasis infection. If that didn't work then he would have to do a visual inspection with a camera scope. I took a test for trichomoniasis (urine NAA test) and that came back negative as well.

I was on nystatin for 6 weeks and then took diflucan for a week and even did an oral nystatin for 7 days. I have just been to my regular doc and wondering if a dentist would be more helpful with this. Are there any over the counter remedies I can do too? Thanks!!

After consultation and research myself it would point to being gynecomastia(?) however i failed to mention there is a history on my dads side of the family of cancer.

I had to go away for a few months, my father passed away, when I returned I had my mom who agreed to move with us. Wile I was gone the dogs got attention from the guys in the household but there was not as much activity as there is when I play with them. I took the Diflucan. Day 5 i got my period. What do i do now?? And can i re-fill my Diflucan to take when i am thru with the antibiotic?? And really no tampons?? at all??

Also, in same age group, is there no higher risk for males than females?

I got a total of 500 mg of diflucan from my doctor. 200 mg for first day and then 100 mg once a week after that. So I was wondering if this would be enough and do I need to diet while on this medication or not?

The blood work was negative for pregnancy but it was early so I still could be pregnant. She called in a prescription for the yeast infection and it is only one pill. Can I assume it is safe to take the pill? I am afraid she is assuming I'm not pregnant so may not have worried about it, and she isnt the smartest doctor to be honest. since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!! this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.

I've been taking diflucan for years, but for this year my yeasts infections gotten worst. I went to a gyn that my gyn sent me too. She recommended a gyn doctor that is good with diseases but he is no longer at the hospital she sent me too. I am constantly getting creams and diflucan for the yeast infections. I feel that my gyn is not meeting my need. I do not want to live on the creams and diflucan. I heard about a gyn on the radio that I would like to go to.

So yesterday I took one dose of diflucan which is an antibiotic when I looked up the interactions it said it has a major reaction with xanax... its been over 12 hours since I took the diflucan... does anyone know if I can start taking my xanax now.
