I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.
Okay I was in hospital for cdiff an week later I got oral thrush now one of my tonsil swollen..when I swollow it irritates my ear ...and I have itchy throat..I been taking diflucan and using peroxide...feel like under my chin might be swollen I only feel it when I hold my head up...I'm so scared my partner donates ever month so he's clean but i have more than pne partner my papillae is also swollen at the back.. ...I'm having anxiety attacks I'm so scared...

Hi in Jan 09 I got C Diff after taking antibiotics (didnt do a swab test) for my throat, my symptoms included abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, and vomited once. This lasted about 3 days until I went to the hospital and told me I got C Diff and was given another antibiotic, the pains and bloody diarrhea stopped.
Since then I havent been feeling the same...
If he had a yeast infection, it would be topical, so you would be able to see it. The anti-biodics you took obviously caused the first one. But, anti-biodics especially strong ones can stay in your body for a long time. And you may have had a little yeast down there during that two months that you were not aware of, then once you and your man had sex, the yeast became more prevalent.
Doctor gave me rocephin injection, and put me on zithromax and diflucan prior to the gonorrhea and chlamydial test. I also had HIV testing, syphilis test, and herpes test.I took the zithromax and diflucan but for a week the the symptoms still continued. 4days later Doctor's office called me that they didn't able to process my gonorrhea and chlamydia test due two samples were put in the same tube and that they had to throw away the whole sample.
My doctor said imodium is fine. I took a couple but they stopped me up too much. Ended up getting a stool sample and had a lot of yeast. So I was prescribed diflucan for that and now I'm almost normal. But I'm in third trimester so I don't know if that makes a difference for what you can take.
Yeast newhere indicates an imbalance....so, the DIFLUCAN should help...I am glad u were RX'd it....but, sometimes it takes more than what they first give u to combat this issue...can could be y u got 2 weeks of it...it is normally a 1 pill dosage.
I do not know enuff to say if ur nexium could have contributed to the yeast...., I would ask if u have a yeast or bladder infection issue...have u had them in the past?..Sometimes we never fully get rid of them and they spread.
So yesterday I took one dose of diflucan which is an antibiotic when I looked up the interactions it said it has a major reaction with xanax... its been over 12 hours since I took the diflucan... does anyone know if I can start taking my xanax now.
since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.
That continued for days and then turned into vomiting and seizure like shaking and horrible grass green and yellow diarrhea whith the most incredible neck and head pain I have ever had. I was also so dizzy I could hardly stand. During this time my heart rate has been elevated ranging from 100-140bpm. I went to the emergency romm 3 times. They gave me morphine (which did nothing for the headache) and told me I have anxiety.
I have had 6 rounds of diflucan to no avail. My urology dr is at a loss. Should I be seeing an infectious disease dr at this point? When I take diflucan I feel better quickly. Once I stop within a few days I feel terrible again. They prescribe diflucan for 14 days. Had it 6 x’s. Always comes back. No bacteria grows in urine. I am also antibiotic resistant from antibiotics for 49+ years. I Am not diabetic but do have polycystic ovarian syndrome.
m currently treating a vaginal yeast infection and was wondering what your experiences were with Diflucan? How long does a typical yeast infection last? The itching and burning have subsided, and I took my first diflucan pill Sunday (doc gave me 4). I'm also using Vagisil for itching and irritated skin! Thanks!
I have had some inflammation in my urethra and 6 days later I got very ill. I was very sick to my stomach(diarrhea) and feeling very rundown. No Fever, No sore throat. I also had some pain in my groin... I am guessing it is where my lymph nodes are, but I didn't have any swelling. I went to a clinic and was tested for chlamydia and gonorrohea and it came back negative.
I took an std test for chlamydia and gonnorea and they both came back negative but the doctor gave diflucan thinking it might be a yeast infection. It worked for about a week and then the burning came back. The doctor then gave me doxycycline( 10 days 2 pills easch day) and said that this should work. It works a little but he said it might take a week and its been six days. I have a couple of questions.

question ladies...i took my diflucan pill on monday, but i wanted to know is a white discharge a side effect of the pill? i have taking diflucan multiple times before, but i never bothered those times to actually look and see what was going on down there. this time i did and it seems like a white discharge is coming out...someone told me that was the yeast mixing w/the medicine coming out. is that true?
Hi...candida is yeast and it can cause all types of issues...DIFLUCAN is one of the best meds I know to help rid someone of excess yeast. There r also diet changes that can also help.....
I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, and DIFLUCAN is the only thing that helps.
As far as dosage, sorry I can not help...I would suggest asking a Pharmacist as they know meds and interaction and reactions better then most drs.

I thought I was having a yeast infection and took diflucan 10 days ago which majorly lessened symptoms. The symptoms never went away fully so my doc called in another diflucan today. I decided to take a look with a magnifying mirror and saw what looked to possibly be a few very small lesions just under the clitoris they are not painful to the touch and look exactly the same as they did ten days ago.
I have had intense vaginal itching for a couple of weeks now. I went to my gyno and she said I definitely had a yeast infection and gave me 2 Diflucan. I've taken both, and I STILL have this intense itch. It doesn't last all day, but comes in bouts and it's driving me crazy! There's no odor, and I'm guessing some slight discharge, but I'm not understanding why the Diflucan wouldn't help.
After that the doctor checked me out as fine but gave me diflucan. It worked only a little, and here I am 6 months later, and 4 diflucan pills later, its constantly in my underwear making me feel wet all the time, its so uncomfortable and embarressing, I just want help :((((( please soomeone! I've tried everything from cotton underwear to loose clothing to no sex, I just want to have sex and not be scared that I'm "too wet" and its showing up on his privates or the bed sheets.
before she had always given me the diflucan pill and it went away right away. however, this time she gave me the cream and i used it for the 7days like she said and didnt have sex w my bf at all. after the 7th day of using the terconazole cream my bf and i had sex w a condom. the next few days it felt a lil irritated, but i thought it was maybe due to the sex. i then noticed a slight discharge, but thought nothing of it cus it looked like normal discharge...so i thought.
