diflucan and terazol

I just went to the Doctor yesterday and confirmed via swab that I still have yeast. I still have rawness in 1 spot/ some anal itching. I've used 14 days clotrimazole, 4 doses diflucan, and now 7 days terazol. The doctor told me to do 1 more dose terazol and diflucan once a week. I don't think this will solve anything. I'm sure as soon as i stop the terazol it will come right back. BTW, I use student health services and although she is an MD, she is not a gyno. Any advice?

I have had a yeast infection for about 3 months now. I have tried Gynazole-1 & when that didn't work I was given 2 Diflucan pills taken 3 days apart. That didn't work so I went back to the Dr. who looked under the microscope & said it looked like definately yeast. I have had cultures & STD testing done, all fine. So I was given a 7 day treatment of Terazol & 2 more Diflucan pills (take 5 days apart) to take at the same time as using the Terazol.

I'm 16 weeks and I'm suffering from a horrible yeast infection. I took 7 days of terazol and 3 days of monistat. Neither helped. Creams usually don't on me. Diflucan is the only thing that works but my dr. said he doesn't prescribe it during pregnancy. I'm so sick of it. I'm miserable. Has anyone ever taken diflucan when they were pregnant? What are the side effects to the baby?

My doctor said Diflucan is not safe during pregnancy and will only prescribe a cream if I get one. There might be mixed opinions, though.

I went back she tested me for goneraha and clamydia and negative but still saw yeast and a few c cells. I did metrogel diflucan didnt work then terazol. So i went back to my gyno and he said I have trich My question is do you think I got this from the one i broke up with? or do you think it was the most recent. I thought we used a condom but I was drinking? And If i did get it from the most recent one wouldnt the tindamax have knocked it out as i took it 24 hours after being with him?

The dr. said he didn't want to give me anything else since the terazol didn't work and it would probably go away on its own. I don't think so. It always takes me a couple of rounds of the cream to get rid of it. One diflucan will do the trick but can't take those.

So I've got a long one here.. Starting in December I got back together with my boyfriend whom I hadn't been with in about 2 months. We got back together and I experienced my first yeast infection. I used monistat and the symptoms went away, and waited a week to have sex. The sex was slightly painful and had a little amount of spotting afterwards. Well, the yeast infection came back right away...

following up on my post -I still had some yeast and was given 2 diflucan pills and (on my request) I was given a yeast infection cream with steroids in it that I now apply weekly to prevent the tearing and everything's been ok since!

I have been fighting a yeast infection for over a month now. First I tried the 3 day monistat didnt work, the a diflucan didnt work,then Terazol didnt work, Then 4 diflucans in row nothing. The doctor has tested me for everything and all is neg. She prescribed more terzol and i am going to start my period so I have now taken 4 more diflucan but alls it does is help with the burning. I am tempted to try monistat again while on my period. I can not take this any more. What can i do?

yea my discharge is watery and has a white color to it...and ive been treated with "everything" metronidazole,diflucan,clindamycin,doxycycline,monistat,terazol gyne lotrimin you name it ive tryed it nothing has worked...

Taking of multi-vitamin supplements and having a healthy diet will help. Also vaginal pessary and keeping the area clean and dry will help. Consult your Doctor. Hope this helps. I have been suffering from what I have been told is a yeast infection since December 9, 2013. I have had numerous doses of diflucan. I have also been given terazol 7 twice. I have also used monistat 7 a few times. Everytime I go back the my gynecologist is shows yeast on the wet prep that is done in the office. I had a one swab test done in March 2014 and it was positive for mycoplasma hominis and a bacterial infection. I was treated with Zithromax. I am scared to death.

For the past 6 + months i have been battlling recurrent yeast and bacterial infections. I have been on multiple doses of Diflucan, Terazol, Monistat, and clindamycin. Nothing seems to help. The doctor just says she doesnt know and prescribes something else. I am getting extremely frustrated and depressed and dont know what else to do. I tried adding a daily dose of probiotic every day (did that for several months) and that only seemed to exacerbate things.

t look like herpes and gave me Terazol and it got better. Btw I just realize that the day I test I had an enbrel a day before but I was also on Terazol treatment. Would that make a change? Im really worry,I have no partner right now, but I was talking to a guy and I been distant, I don't how to handle this.

I had one at the beginning of my pregnancy (at 3wks) and my OB gave me terazol because i am allergic to monistat. Since this time I tested positive for a UTI and had to go on antibiotics, I had a horrible sinus infection and had to take antibiotics, and then yet another UTI...back on the meds! My OB keeps telling me that this is fine because all of the meds that were prescribed are safe during pregnancy (all category B)....but I hate doing this! Has anyone else experienced this?? Plus....

I believe I have a chronic yeast infection... or a chronic SOMETHING. I've been to the doctor three times, though I don't believe she's an actual gyno (not sure...). She says that she doesn't see anything wrong down there, but it is very obvious there is because the pain is intense alot of the time, the itching is unbearable and the smell is atrocious. You don't consume either orally, you insert them in ur vagina. If you can't do the yogurt try the garlic, I can honestly say I haven't had a yeast infection since I did the garlic. I used to her them with every pregnancy.

I suspect that the glabrata came about from the use of Diflucan and/or Clindamycin vaginal cream. I had severe pseudomembranous colitis from clostridium difficile three years ago and have wondered if that has anything to do with the yeast infection. She recommended a gyn doctor that is good with diseases but he is no longer at the hospital she sent me too. I am constantly getting creams and diflucan for the yeast infections. I feel that my gyn is not meeting my need. I do not want to live on the creams and diflucan. I heard about a gyn on the radio that I would like to go to. I will make an appointment with her. I never took diflucan long term. I will get two diflucans at one time.

I first found out when I went to planned parenthood and they gave me diflucan. Diflucan has never worked for me, so the next visit they gave me Gynazole 1, and a prescription for another Gynazole 1 if the yeast persisted. It did so i applied it then I applied various otc suppositories and I finally got rid of the yeast but developed BV. I went to a doctor and he gave me antibiotics that are usually given to treat trich even though I didn't have trich.

I also noticed some faint redness on the left breast, on the underneath side and to the left and looks like it might be behind the nipple as well and tissue feels a little thick and uncomfortable to press on. The skin's texture looks the same and there are no open sores, no nipple discharge or crusting, no itching, no visible orange peel texture. Just redness and sensitivity, especially to pressure/compression, and an areola color change under certain conditions.
