So I went back to the GYN and she prescribed diflucan again. I have been back to the doctor several times for the same symptoms so my doctor prescribed Boris Acid 14 days. This really helped the symptoms but once I stopped the medicine my symptoms came back. I have tried this medicine several times with the same result. I still have the vaginal irritation, burning, itching and white discharge. My GYN has taken a swab and looked under the microscope every time I have gone to her.

I am 38 weeks pg., and have had a yeast inf. for about a week and a half...I have taken the Diflucan pill once, a cream (one time application) once, and now the Dr. gave me more Diflucan..... what else can I do???? Should I buy some over the counter monistat and use that too???? It is such a stubborn infection with all these hormones....what the heck do I do at this point??? I am so frustrated. Please help me.

I have had a year of cyclical break outs on my tongue of very painful flesh colored bumps on both sides of my tongue and my LLMD thinks it is yeast so I have been taking diflucan for 6 weeks and the bumps went and way and have not come back....until tonight. Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. The dermatologist has given me antibacterial prescription cream along with a mix of hydrocortisone and antifungal cream with a pill of diflucan (antifungal pill). The dr thinks its some yeast around the area and wants to see me in one week because it's bad. Should I also be actively trying to make an appt with a urologist or could this just be stinging because the area is inflammed? I got this infection after taking bactrim for 7 days (twice a day).

I have had candida for a little over a year now. It all started with strep throat that I required penicillin to combat. Penicillin helped but never fully eliminated the problem. One week ago I took the diflucan and now I have a sore by my peritoneum, I am so scared because I dont want to have genital herpes. I never had this happen before. When I had the yeast infection it was very bad and my vagina and by my anus was very itcy, red and sore. I am still having a little discharge but the itching is gone. also, i asked them about using diflucan for yeast and they said they have never had to give diflucan to a male for treatment. i dont know what is going on, maybe i should go see a new doctor. just wondering, what would be used to cure the trich?

I have been prescribed Nystatin rinse with little or no effect, and Diflucan 200mg first day and 100mg for six following days. All no resolution. I have had three HIV tests August 11, 2008, August 29, 2008 and October 10, 2008 all negative. Are you taking anything for yeast? I take nystatin and diflucan. It really helps. I am sure Julie can recommend something more natural too. Have you thought of just doing the herbs? i saw the dr and he told me it was probably another prostate infection, possibly some urethritis, and a yeast infection! ARRGG!! he gave me more cipro and some diflucan. i took them both (1 diflucan) and took cipro for 10 days. symptoms in testicles and prostate felt better, but urethra was still hurting and uncomfortable mostly at night. my penis skin peeled like crazy, and the bumps got mostly better.
