ve been on 3 antibiotics as well as steroids, I suggest oral diflucan, 1 dose now and then repeat in 72 hours and also consider a vaginal yeast treatment too.

I was tested for STIs with negative results. My doc frist had me try Diflucan one which didnt help, then a course keflex antibiotics which did little and also hydrozol cream which worked pretty well. I think i used the hydrozole cream a little too long and now i have discoloration on my penis and redness near my glands. Is there anything i can apply that will heal the head and make it back to normal?

Dx was hematuria. One Diflucan was administered and 7 or 10 days of Keflex (I forget which) and sent home w/instructions to continue current medications. Family doctor referred for cystoscopy which was also negative. Urine cleared visibly for a few days and then returned, some episdoes darker than others but never enough to cloud visibility of bottom of bowl. Still no other symptoms. Still always old blood (brown not red or pink).

All these time I felt like I had a UTI and yeast infection so they also treated me with the diflucan on multiple occasions 100mg for 5days and also 150g take one and another 3days later and also using all over the counter available creams. None of this really seemed to help all that much, just a little bit. About 2months later after the initial contact with this person *not thinking i had caught anything as all my std tests were negative 2 times at this point* i saw this person again..

Cephalexin (Keflex) 500mg 1 tab 4 times a day for infections; Cetirizine (Zyrtec) 10mg 1 tab a day for a month for allergic reactions; Fluconazole (Diflucan) 100mg 1 tab immediately for Fungal infection; and Prednisone (Deltasone) 20 mg 1 tab a day for 3 days; which he wants me to use only if the others don't work due to the steroid nature. He also recommended Ammonium Lactate (Amlactin) 12% lotion.

The dermatologist has given me antibacterial prescription cream along with a mix of hydrocortisone and antifungal cream with a pill of diflucan (antifungal pill). The dr thinks its some yeast around the area and wants to see me in one week because it's bad. Should I also be actively trying to make an appt with a urologist or could this just be stinging because the area is inflammed? I got this infection after taking bactrim for 7 days (twice a day).

I have seen my provider, been on Keflex and Flagyl, taken 1 diflucan (for yeast). They all seemed to help for a few days..then it starts to "flare up" again. I am so over this! When I initially talked with my doctor about this he just whipped out his prescription pad and wrote my refill on my Valtrex and said, "It's probably just the herpes." In your opinion, could it be my herpes for this long?

The bleeding was light for the first week and very heavy for the last two weeks. I went to see an OBGYN and she took a simple and blood work...I have very painful and tender womb now still bleeding and awaiting the lab results. Please any advice is greatly appreciated.

On the 3rd day or so of the Keflex, I started to get short of breath and getting repeated what felt like adreniline rushes approx every 30seconds or so. That continued for days and then turned into vomiting and seizure like shaking and horrible grass green and yellow diarrhea whith the most incredible neck and head pain I have ever had. I was also so dizzy I could hardly stand.

I took the Diflucan. Day 5 i got my period. What do i do now?? And can i re-fill my Diflucan to take when i am thru with the antibiotic?? And really no tampons?? at all??

I have taken medicine or used creams atleast one time per month in this time period, the symptoms then went away for a few weeks then would come back. I finally went to a gynecologist and was given more yeast infection medicines, but they also told me nothing came up on the tests they ran. It cant be a uti because i have also had antibiotics in this time period for a total of 10 days. However, the white toilet paper like discharge did not start until about 2 weeks ago.

After my last application, the next morning my symptoms returned, except now I have a slight discomfort on labia and vulva and itch every now and then, frequent urge to urinate, and occasionally it burns a bit when I pee. They tested me for a uti, yeast, and stds at the gyno and EVERYTHING was negative. I have been incredibly stressed out lately which is causing a lot of anxiety.

She recommended a gyn doctor that is good with diseases but he is no longer at the hospital she sent me too. I am constantly getting creams and diflucan for the yeast infections. I never took diflucan long term. I will get two diflucans at one time.

Thanks for your reply. I have been tested for other STD's but I understand the blood & urine tests will not catch an oral infection. I'm fairly certain that is it pharyngeal gonorrhea. The thing I don't get there were no outward signs of gonorrhea like discharge from the penis and he didn't cum in my mouth. I've never let that happen. It seems my risk is fairly low but I don't understand why penicillin and Keflex aren't killing this bug.

Anyways, I went and got tested and I have bacterial vaginosis. I have not been with anybody but him. He is trying to say that the antibiotics I took got rid of the std and that I gave it to him. This is not possible right?

I had an abscess on my gums. I started on keflex and scheduled a root canal ASAP. After the root canal and finishing the keflex the abscess was still there. My endontist downplayed it like it's no big deal but he drained the abcess and put me on clymdamycin. Finished all the clymdamycin and the abscess is still there. Endontist says it could take months to heal and sent me on my way. I feel like I need a second opinion. I still have a pea sized abscess on my gums idk what to do.

Well about a week after my girlfriend and I got back together I got a real back sore throats with white stuff on my throat. Went to the doctor and he tested me for strept and mono and tests came back negative. Well he put me on keflex (250mg twice a day for 10 days) totaling 5000mg course. My concern is that I got syphilis has well as hsv2 that same encounter but the keflex cured my syphilis but I gave it to my girlfriend before I was cured. Will that low of a dose keflex cure syphilis?

I did a pee sample and it showed I had a little bit of an infection, so he prescribed me Keflex which i’ve taken before and it worked! I just read your question about the possible allergic reaction to Keflex. I had previously taken Keflex for mononucleosis at the age of 18 and and other things during my early 20's and never had a problem. A few years later when i was 28 I took it again. I had a terrible reaction. I had very large raised hives that started on the tops of my thighs, inside my arms and up my neck. My eyes were swollen and breathing became a task. I double dosed benendryl and went to ER.
