Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool. Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise! Yeast was back. So I went to the doctor and this time they did a "wet mount" turns out I had BV and Yeast together.

I been taking diflucan pills and using cream proscibed by my doc.the last yeast infection I had they gave me the seven day treatment...u been done taking the but last I had sex with mii faince n when I when to the restroom it burned for me to pee ...I thought that was over with bc that the problem I been having but now the yeast is gne I didn't think this should be happening.... after taking the meds I waited over a week to have sex ....WHATS THE BIG DEAL WITH THIS AM FED UP WITH IT ..

The bleeding was light for the first week and very heavy for the last two weeks. I went to see an OBGYN and she took a simple and blood work...I have very painful and tender womb now still bleeding and awaiting the lab results. Please any advice is greatly appreciated.

While it is not an actual STD, it can be passed back and forth between partners, so you should also consider taking a course of Diflucan and cleaning your underwear and towels as above. Socks too if there is athlete's foot. It's just like athlete's foot - a fungus. BCPs do increase the risk of getting yeast infections.

Omg I'm 20 and I'm having the same problem but it started around 8months ago for me and everytimei have intercourse with my husband it burns worst and the doctor tells me I'm fine. It's so annyoing I don't know what to do. But I started taking the birth control pill loestrin and I think it maybe an allergic reaction to that any advice??

t adequately lubricated. My OB/GYN prescribed me with Diflucan, I took the dosage and it was gone. We had sex again, yeast infection came back, got another prescription, gone again. Had sex again, it came back AGAIN but this time I went to a different OB/GYN to get a second opinion. Turns out this time I had a yeast infection AND bacterial vaginosis. Please for the love of god someone give me some advice....Here's the scoop in a nutshell: -uncircumcised -around late december of 07 i developed what i now have learned was a pretty nasty case of balanitus -early february 08 i saw my primary care doctor...he diagnosed balanitis and perscribes ketoconazole and said it would be gone in two to three weeks - early march there was no difference in condition....went back and he perscribed hydrocortisone 2.5%....

She recommended a gyn doctor that is good with diseases but he is no longer at the hospital she sent me too. I am constantly getting creams and diflucan for the yeast infections. I feel that my gyn is not meeting my need. I do not want to live on the creams and diflucan. I heard about a gyn on the radio that I would like to go to. I will make an appointment with her. I never took diflucan long term. I will get two diflucans at one time.

following up on my post -I still had some yeast and was given 2 diflucan pills and (on my request) I was given a yeast infection cream with steroids in it that I now apply weekly to prevent the tearing and everything's been ok since!

I tried to rub them out, but they got more irritated and more reddish. I went to another doctor who prescribed one dose of diflucan and Lamisil. Diflucan 150 mg seem to take all the irritation out, but left the skin very chapped and scaley. After a couple of days, the redness came back and now I have this reddish irritation also under the tip of the penis. So another doctor prescribed diflucan 100 mg for 7 days + Lotrisone, which is apparently a combination of two medicines.

If had success with Diflucan but its two pills and a cream that were prescriptions but I was not pregnant at that time so I don't know if it's safe or not. I would call your ob and let them know of your worsening symptoms. Best of luck to you and congrats on your pregnancy!

I went to urgent care for treatment and was given diflucan and it didnt put a dent in it, so I went back. I was given more diflucan and it didnt do anything. I waited to see a gynocologist and had a pap smear and STD test, went back for an HPV screen. I was negative for it all and was given diflucan by her as well. I went back to her a second time and she gave me a cream for a yeast infection after admitting she didnt see signs for one and didnt know why I would be burning.

I went on holiday on 23rd June and returned on the 30th June. During this holiday I had been in the sea and swimming in indoor and outdoor pools. I also had sexual intercourse on the 24th/25th with contraception, but I have no idea about the other person's past sex life. Later on the 25th my menstruation started. It finished around on the 29th and since returning from my holiday I have had itchiness with my labias which has resulted in soreness.

I am on my second or third in three months or so, and it is annoying. The advice given to me; don't wash around down there unless with dove soap, don't ******, wipe front to back after urination and such, go commando to bed or wear boys cotton boxers for breathing air, non scented pads and liners, enough lubrication during intercourse, and don't wear a wet bathing bottom for too long. My primary care provider and gyne believed it was a yeast infection and gave me several doses of diflucan but did NOT help. Currently the gyne prescribed me nystatin with an anti fungal. I haven't felt much of a difference this past week. At this point I am very frustrated and just want to feel normal again. I am 24 relatively healthy and active. Anyone have any ideas? The gynecologist said the next step would be a biopsy and autoimmune disease testing.

I have been going to the doctor every 2 weeks for my yeast infection for about 8 mos. now. i have taken every over the counter cream at drug stores and several different pills such as diflucan etc. It's getting very frustrating because they keep coming back and my doctor tells me that it's a yeast infection one week and another week it's gardenerella (don't know how to spell it). During intercouse It's painful on top of that the discharge is embarrassing.

I went back to the same clinic a week later and got another dose which helped for three days this time and then stopped. All my test for STI's came back negative.
