Major pain. Went to urgent care diagnosed with a UTI. Dr gave Cipro, diflucan and AZO. After 3 days they called to say my culture results showed Cipro wasn't the correct meds. Micro bid was the new med. I've had lower abdomen pain since off and on. Is it not working? Do I have a major case of yeast? I took another diflucan thinking it could be yeast pain. Weird pain.....
i saw the dr and he told me it was probably another prostate infection, possibly some urethritis, and a yeast infection! ARRGG!! he gave me more cipro and some diflucan. i took them both (1 diflucan) and took cipro for 10 days. symptoms in testicles and prostate felt better, but urethra was still hurting and uncomfortable mostly at night. my penis skin peeled like crazy, and the bumps got mostly better.
I am currently being treated with Diflucan and Cipro for an existing yeast problem. I am taking Diflucan for 30 days and Cipro for 10 days. This will give me some relief for about three or four months and then I will need to treat the problem again. Questions: Should I change the Diflucan/Cipro time schedule or try different drugs? Any other suggestion would be very much appreciated. I should note that I take enzymes with each meal (Digest Gold and Fenol) Thanks for any help, Sam.
Possible Mast cell activation disorder? Why woulod immune response continue and I keep feeling worse, aftger Cipro and Diflucan and Nuva ring were discontinued? How is this treated???? I am so exhuasted I cannot function. ALl bloods normal except histamine in urine and malabsorption, ie, Vit B-12, D, anemia. Is IViG indicated? Skin biopsy reveals small nerve fiber involvement, but nmot inflammation. Cannot "feel" my muscles, myself breathe, etc., Please help.
ve had terrible problems with yeast my whole life, so my doctor called me in diflucan and that helped for a while. I was also called in cipro to see if it would help with anything urinary related. The cipro helped a lot but symptoms reaccured.

I've had this for two months now. Burning in the tip started 4 weeks after receiving oral, swelling started 2 weeks after that. I'm thinking it's either chlamydia or yeast. Both can be harder to detect and treat than doctors think. I was on cipro for two weeks, seemed to help a little. Now I'm on diflucan it's been 2 weeks and I think there is some improvement, although urethra is sensitive to ejaculating.
Went back for another urine culture, this time it came back Klebsiella. Took Cipro for 10 days and started diflucan on day 5 of that in case it caused a yeast infection. I'm still having the same stinging pain! I saw my OB again yesterday, had STD tests done again and a urine culture. Waiting on those results... I'm so stressed and I'm not sure what this could be and am resulting to asking others if they've had anything similar? Could this be herpes?
I am getting painful ejaculation too in the veins or cords and terrible shooting pains in the pelvis with fungal infection. you could try methenamine/cystex. also cipro and levaquin may help and diflucan.
Went to gp a couple of days later and did urinalysis which was clear but gave me 10 day script for cipro just in case. After taking the cipro my stomach/ lower abdominal hurt and there was testicle pain. Went back and he said he didn't see anything (sores or lesions) but per request gave me an igm herpes test around 3 weeks which was negative. Around 4 weeks I had an all around blood and thyroid test done which was normal except a little high in potassium and carbon dioxide.
Can feel better in 2-3 weeks with meds (cipro with and without diflucan) or without meds, but ejaculating during this makes it last longer (had sex and masturbated twice during current "flare", going on 7 weeks of length). Occasional minor discomfort after urinating, especially when it is more concentrated. No discharge or itching. Dull ache and occasional sharper pain when touched around the opening, around the backside of head, and sometimes a bit down the shaft.

This usally happens when we have frequent sex (a couple of times daily) or prolong vaginal sex. I use to take macrodantin and cipro and I would clear. Now the macrodantin is not effective and I needed to take cipro with doxy for 21 days and that seemed to finally clear. I have had a test for gc or ngu and it was negative. I do not have pain when i urinate so I feel that it may not be a UTI but PID. Any idea's on what to do?
I saw a dermatologists and he looked at it and thought i had a yeast infection and gave me topical antifungal and diflucan (100mg for 7days). It has been 1 week on the meds and i really havent seen much improvement honestly. The swelling has completely gone down, and I have never had any pain on the white spot , nor any pain urinating.I am at my ends in trying to figure this out. Could someone please help me. I am in a bigtime state of depression for the last month.
(sporadic sharp and dull pain, no other symptoms) I went to my GP and was diagnosed with a mild case of epididymitis and prescribed 500mg of cipro twice daily for seven days and 500 mg ibuprofin 2 times a day for 10 days. The pain subsided for two weeks and then returned.
Went back to my GP and he prescribed me with 500mg cipro twice daily for 10 days. After a week without improvement I went to a Urologist. He confirmed epididymitis and instructed me to stop taking the cipro.
Cipro is usually prescribed for something like a uti and the Diflucan can be given with it to keep a woman from getting a yeast infection. The combination of these 2 meds are very common and don't immediately convey an std. If she already has a yeast infection then ues wear a condom. I would ask her what the doctor prescribed her the meds for and go from there.
Within the same week of this encounter, I experienced flu like symptoms including burning AFTER urination, chills, fatigue, swollen neck and groin nodes and lower back pain. Said it seems to be a yeast infection with a possible UTI. They gave me Diflucan one day pill and Ciprofloxacin to take for 10 days. I have 5 days left on the meds. I feel that it's made it feel better but I still have a bit of itching, burning and irritation right around the vulva. I went today for a full STD panel and will get the results soon, but I am freaking out. Also my body is itchy, is this from the Ciprofloxacin ? I just want some answers....arrgghh.
I also was tested negative for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. I took the Cipro for a few days, and was feeling better then stopped. Then after a 12 mile run one morning I went to the bathroom and noticed 3-4 red/pink areas on the shaft of my penis with some dry skin. This is 7 weeks post exposure. The areas were not raised, itchy, or painful in any way. They were smooth and shiny and the skin was a little flaky.
After taking all std test that I can think of, i read about trichamonasis and it symptoms. Will Diflucan treat Trichomonas? It stated that its mostly found in women and is hard to find in men. Most men are treated when their partner is diagnosed with it. I have never tested for it, but I have taken metronidozole twice just in case. Im starting to think that my wife is having yeast infections because of me.
