i saw the dr and he told me it was probably another prostate infection, possibly some urethritis, and a yeast infection! ARRGG!! he gave me more cipro and some diflucan. i took them both (1 diflucan) and took cipro for 10 days. symptoms in testicles and prostate felt better, but urethra was still hurting and uncomfortable mostly at night. my penis skin peeled like crazy, and the bumps got mostly better.
She recommended a gyn doctor that is good with diseases but he is no longer at the hospital she sent me too. I am constantly getting creams and diflucan for the yeast infections. I feel that my gyn is not meeting my need. I do not want to live on the creams and diflucan. I heard about a gyn on the radio that I would like to go to. I will make an appointment with her.
I never took diflucan long term. I will get two diflucans at one time.
I had all the classic yeast infection symptoms, however my symptoms weren’t as severe anymore. Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool.

I waited to see a gynocologist and had a pap smear and STD test, went back for an HPV screen. I was negative for it all and was given diflucan by her as well. I went back to her a second time and she gave me a cream for a yeast infection after admitting she didnt see signs for one and didnt know why I would be burning.

So I've been taking birth control for about 4 months. Since I started my period has been really weird as I expected but now I think it may be causing external vaginal burning. My period lasts for 5 days, the first three I bleed brown and kind of clotty. The fourth day I hardly bleed if any at all and the 5th day it's red. I often experience burning as well and even though its particularly bad around my bleeding, it happens randomly all month.
I have always started on Wednesday, and randomly the last two months I have started Thursdays. This month I had a yeast infection and took prescription Diflucan. And I had to take to to kill off the yeast infection. I had some bleeding yesterday, so I out in a tampon. I went to change it, and there was no blood on it. So this morning, when I went pee in the morning, there was a lot of blood. So I inserted a tampon and went to change it, and again...very little to no blood.
Thank you for your advice, the yeast infection is clearing up, but I am still slightly concerned whether this is a natural side effect of the medicine or not.
For about a year now I've been having a pasty white discharge that sometimes can smell weird. I haven't had pains or spotting and I'm on birth control. My periods are regular and I always have protected sex. Is that normal??
On November 26 I began experiencing severe vaginal burning. The next day it was combined with vaginal itching and extreme redness. I treated myself for a yeast infection with an ovule and with cream. That evening I also took my best friend's Diflucan. On December 1 I still had similar symptoms including red areas on my vagina and even slight bleeding which I though were from scratching.
I had a really bad yeast infection so my husband and I stopped having sex right when I got it 3 weeks ago. I took diflucan and it didn't work, then I took a 7 day tercanazole. It worked, I stopped having redness, itchiness and the dischsrge finally stopped. I took a vaginal canesten tablet that night and diflucan (oral). i also took another diflucan tablet last night (day 14) which was 3 days later after seeing the gyno. I did notice the next day that the vaginal tablet has bits coming out of me with tiny red dots......i figured it was the tablet. I am not sure if this is all linked. I last had intercourse on the 14th of April and then the 28th of April.

I developed a yeast inefection after 2 rounds of antibiotics for a major ear inefection. I've had a few yeast infections before so I picked up some Monistat 1. I wish I hadn't because I had the worst, most painful burning I've ever felt. In fact, my actual yeast inefection was less irritating and painful than the Monistat 1. After the irritation went away in a few days I realized I still had a yeast infection so I went in to see the dr.
So, I took antibiotics for a UTI that was beginning. I haven't had sex or anything and started feeling itching, cottage cheese discharge was seen and it was burning down there.
So I went and got Diflucan (actually the generic) prescribed from Urgent Care. It's been a day since I took the medication and just today I was wiping and saw light pink on my toilet paper. Can having a yeast infection cause bleeding? Can your lady parts be so inflamed that there's chafing and such?
One week ago I took the diflucan and now I have a sore by my peritoneum, I am so scared because I dont want to have genital herpes. I never had this happen before. When I had the yeast infection it was very bad and my vagina and by my anus was very itcy, red and sore. I am still having a little discharge but the itching is gone. I have been prescribed Nystatin rinse with little or no effect, and Diflucan 200mg first day and 100mg for six following days. All no resolution. I have had three HIV tests August 11, 2008, August 29, 2008 and October 10, 2008 all negative. I'm 25 weeks pregnant my doctor prescribed me Metronidazole Vaginal Gel for a bacteria that I have, has anyone else taken this during a pregnancy ? I'm really scared I've read about women who've lost their baby by taking this gel I'm really scared I called my OB and I asked him if its safe for the baby and he said it is but I'm really concerned about this, its my first baby too. t unbearable itching and I had no discharge. Fast forward to now, I have had to cure 3 yeast infections with diflucan so far and they keep coming back. So, I'm starting to think it's my birth control. I switched pills about a year ago now to Reclipsen and now Enskyce because they changed the manufacturer. This has a fairly high does of estrogen because I suffered breakthrough bleeding on every other pill I've taken, but I noticed that once my bleeding stopped, the itching started.
since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.
