Common Questions and Answers about Differin no rx

differin

Avatar f tn Dear doctor! How long can I use Differin (adaferin, adapalene)?
Avatar m tn I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun. I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
1632818 tn?1299941302 I washed my face and slathered it with the sunscreen that is usually soothing, but it stung this time. I decided to google differin, and on their website it clearly said that differin should not be used on skin with eczma. Then I googled eczma, where it said that it is important to moisturise skin with eczma... So this contradicted the dermatologist telling me to not use my moisturiser and prescribing me differin.
Avatar m tn He gave me differin and it worked ok.While i was using the differin i was working all summer long outside and usually wore a hat.Well two years later ever since my forehead is my natural skin color which is pale. The rest of my face is very red.I have very oily skin and my skin breaksout if i put lotion or toners on it usually. Is there any advise on how to get my skin to even out and get this redness to go away. Please help.
Avatar f tn I have a 17 year old son who continues to have moderate acne despite several trips to the dermatologist. We have tried several prescription medications with no relief. He has been on a course of antibiotics as well as many topical creams. We have also tried ProActiv w/ no relief. I DO NOT want to put my son on Accutane. Can anyone offer any advise?
Avatar m tn I messed with it a little bit, and the next day it had swollen up and was warm, like an infection. Since then, I have been using Abreva and Differin on it. The Differin makes the largest difference – it reduces the size significantly. When it first showed up, it looked a lot like this picture: http://www.adamjbc.f2s.com/dlc/test/Photo-0171.jpg. It no longer has a white tip, and there are two small bumps (neither red nor painful) below it.
Avatar m tn i also wash face with mild cleanser and apply moisturizer, after apply moisturizer on my nose still becomes more oily. I went to see the dermatologist and he given me the differin cream, differin also make my nose oily and did not stop the oil production, which is also not helping, i very hopeless right now. please help with my oily nose.

Avatar n tn I got Differin from the doctor and used it for 6 months with no results. Is he to young to start to serious ritual? He is adopted and his birth mom has very serious acne. He is very worried about all these pimples. He started getting them at nine. The doctor told me they aren't really acne but I forgot what he called them so I could look them up.
Avatar f tn Hi I've recently been using differin gel, but about a week ago I started breaking out bad and decided to take a week long break from the gel to heal my skin. I was wondering if taking a week long break was a good idea or not?
Avatar n tn Hi, To start, my mother has been plagued with eczema for as long as I can remember. I have very minor symptoms in comparison and haven't really thought too much about it, at least up to this point. I intermitently get clear bumps under the skin of my left thumb. They don't bother me physically in that they don't itch and don't hurt, but it does bother me that I can see these "blisters" under the skin.
Avatar n tn I began to get a strange sunburn like rash around my neck only a few months ago (it has now gotten worse). It feels very systemic. It is not a typical rash. It is not raised. There are no bumps or scaliness. I posted in the thyroid forum because I am having thyroid issues and wondered if it could be related but my endocrinologist doesn't seem to think so (of course doctors are notorious for missing things that can be obvious). It's only around my neck and it's making me miserable.
Avatar n tn So I thought maybe they were just a patch or dry skin, or skin a rubbed a bit raw when rubbing my eyes at night or something, so I tried applying Differin cream to it with no result. It is not spreading, but it is not going away either. Some have said it's just a mark I got from being overstressed, but i think that really means they have no idea...haha...help?
Avatar m tn i dunno, ya know? neruo Rx'd oral methylprednisolone. like for five days and see how that helps with severe fatigue and some weaknesses (upper torso more than lower). i'm wanting to try anything that might help with this but gotta check it here. i'm just checking in and putting it out there to see how other MS'ers who've tried these did with them.
1059772 tn?1286655190 Skye, I have no experience with this but please, please please be very careful - I would not trust ordering any pharmaceutical via the web. There is absolutely no guarantee that this is a legit company or that the drugs are real. There was another report on this last week on the Today show - counterfeits in everything are rampant, but especially pharmaceuticals. Often the tests show that not only are they not the correct drugs, they can be toxic.
