Common Questions and Answers about Differin cream reviews

differin

Avatar m tn I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun. I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Avatar f tn Dear doctor! How long can I use Differin (adaferin, adapalene)?
Avatar m tn HI, so now I should I stop using differin cream issued by the dermatologist? The differin cream I applied on my face every single night for two months ago is not helping, the doctor said it will help me to clear up my oily nose and blackheads , seem not helping at all.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been using differin every alternate nights for 3 months without problems. But just last sun, I rubbed some onto my eyelids and facial rashes started to explode. They were not itchy at first but started to spread and becoming very itchy. My Gp said its contact dermatitis. But how could it be as I have been using it for 3 months? I put hydrocortisone cream on them but nothing seems to subside. Now my whole face is covered with itchy swell rashes. What should I do?
1632818 tn?1299941302 I washed my face and slathered it with the sunscreen that is usually soothing, but it stung this time. I decided to google differin, and on their website it clearly said that differin should not be used on skin with eczma. Then I googled eczma, where it said that it is important to moisturise skin with eczma... So this contradicted the dermatologist telling me to not use my moisturiser and prescribing me differin.
Avatar f tn I use products by Noodle and Boo. They have great reviews. Though, they're a tad bit pricey. I like the products and they seem to work well.
Avatar n tn So I thought maybe they were just a patch or dry skin, or skin a rubbed a bit raw when rubbing my eyes at night or something, so I tried applying Differin cream to it with no result. It is not spreading, but it is not going away either. Some have said it's just a mark I got from being overstressed, but i think that really means they have no idea...haha...help?
Avatar f tn I'm glad you posted this, because I've been wondering the same thing.
Avatar f tn Also, along with your diapers and wipes each month you can add other things like rash cream etc. It has worked well for us, and my daughter responds well to their products. I have found that I dont go through all of the wipes they send every month so I have started a little stock pile, but that is ok because they can be used for more then just a diaper change.
Avatar f tn He provided me with some antibiotics and a gel called Differin.. Which is supposed to dry out your pimples and anything else concerning the " acne".. As I used the differin I did not notice any changes in the rash.. I went back after a while and my doctor decided to give me prednison for a week.. Which did ok.. the rash disappeared only to come back less than a week after finishing the prednison treatment..
Avatar m tn Hello. Where did you purchase the cream? I've been to several pharmacies and all of them do not carry this product.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure if this is common or not but after 2 months im still struggling with the warts. Im desperate to try any cream or treatment available as I can't stand the warts anymore. After a second cryotherapy done, My doctor prescribed me Veregen ointment which i used it for a week and then she gave me Zinc Oxyde which helped for some of the warts to fall off. 2 weeks after i got an outbreak again and im back on Veregen :(. Has anyone had any experience with this remedy?
Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Avatar f tn To get rid of stretch marks well to help them did anyone get the merderma normal gel for scars/stretch marks or the merderma cream especially for stretch marks I can't seem to get many reviews for the cream but gel there's loads.. Don't want to order it as it's £35 and get the wrong one lol any help would be great!
Avatar m tn have you tried differin its a topical medicine, but its the only thing that did work for me. the doctor perscribed it for me.. and it really works.. the eating healthy thing doesnt work. im really active and eat healthy, but i sweat pretty bad and i get pimples anyways. the natural sometimes wont work. you can also go to walmart and get the face wash called seabreeze. i think thats how its spelled but its the best kind of acne medicine and its the most natural.
Avatar m tn The best way to treat this is with a course of oral antibiotics such as Oxytetracycline to kill acne-causing bacteria. In addition use a topical retinoid cream called Differin (adapalene) which is very good at clearing up the redness and soreness. Use a bland, soap-free cleanser to minimise irritation. I recommend Effaclar or Physiological Cleansing Gel by La Roche-Posay. Find a more sympathetic doctor. If untreated, acne can cause physical and psychological scars.
Avatar n tn ve put special cream on the wound but it doesnt seems to be going away!!!!! Avatar m tn I am looking to treat trauma of the brachial tendon to treat pain during bicep workouts by using a glucosamine cream. I have heard anecdotally that the cream format increases bio-availability by a staggering amount and that the oral supplement is essentially a snake oil product. But I have also heard that there is no evidence to suggest the cream works any better. Thoughts?
Avatar m tn There are many scrubs and masks on the market which can improve the appearance of blackheads. If they are of limited benefit to you, ask your doctor about Differin gel. This is a topical retinoid which contains Adapalene 0.1%. It works deep into your pores and is effective at clearing both acne and blackheads. Eloise.
Avatar n tn The dermatologist gave me Differin Gel, and topical antibiotic cream called Benzclin, and neither of these helped. The doctor at first thought that it was Cellulitis, and put me on Bacitricin, and then Cephalexin, and neither of those helped. The hard crusty skin seems to grow underneath my cheek, and it stays there for weeks until I can't stand the pain and itching anymore? The crusty skin seems to be super glued into my cheek.
Avatar m tn he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....i was reading the paper that comes with oracea~doxycycline and it says it doesnt kill bacteria now im getting worried because minocycline does kill bacteria now im worried i will break out more from the oracea.it says its for rosacea but doest oracea work to kill acne to or no?and the differin gel 0.3% isnt this not as strong drying to dry up pimples as retin a micro 0.1%?
Avatar n tn The only other thing that I have done differently from my normal routine is that I began to use Differin Gel 3% on my face only which is why I never thought of it as being the cause of this strange neck rash, but a friend at work said that I should look into this so here I am. Is this possible? I have heard that Differin can be a bit systemic for some.
Avatar f tn She handed me a tube of cream and asked me to squeeze the container. Some of the cream got on my finger. I am not sure if this cream was from her finger or the tube. Could I have contracted Herpes Whitlow from this interaction? I have a small cut cuticle on one side of my finger and am not sure if the cream touched it or not. I am also not sure if her cold sore may have cracked/oozed at all prior to her handing me the cream. Please help me to understand how this all works.
Avatar m tn He gave me differin and it worked ok.While i was using the differin i was working all summer long outside and usually wore a hat.Well two years later ever since my forehead is my natural skin color which is pale. The rest of my face is very red.I have very oily skin and my skin breaksout if i put lotion or toners on it usually. Is there any advise on how to get my skin to even out and get this redness to go away. Please help.
Avatar n tn We have asked her about EVERYTHING in the house and she said she has not put anything on her face or used a different soap. She has very sensitive skin and has keratosis. She uses Differin cream but it has never caused her face to look like this.
