Erythromycin is usually not tolerated well, side effects are mostly on GI system. I do not know who is using this medication now, everyone is using Clarithromycin or Azithromycin now. There is no long term side effectes, just need some time for guts to recover. Take lots of plain yogurt.

Also experiencing sensation of sitting on a golf ball in the perirectal area at times. Sure, there are lots of antibiotics. If you're allergic to azithromycin, you also probably can't take clarithromycin and erythromycin. And if doxycycline doesn't work, there's probably no used in taking tetracycline. So that does eliminate a lot of them. If the doxycycline isn't working, either your tests are consistently false positives, or you have a resistant strain. It's not typical, but it does happen.

I have been on Coumadin for most of the last two years following two episodes of clots in my right leg. My INR varied between 1.8 and 2.4 and most often was between 2.0 and 2.2. In those two years may other medications, my diet, and level of exercise remained mostly the same. My Coumadin dose was 5mg four days a week and 7.5mg three days a week for most of the two years. Now my INR has suddenly jumped up. Yesterday it tested at 4.9, so my doctor had me retested today and it was 4.3.

I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Clarithromycin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin. However, if you do need antibiotics after extraction, amoxicillin and metronidazole, erythromycin( erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin) and metronidazole are commonly prescribed for periodontal infection. You may address your condern to your dentist.

But here is my question. I ended up with a respiratory infection and the Doc gave me Clarithromycin, I have to take 2X 500mg a day for ten days. I started the medication the day of the sexual encounter. Will Clarithromycin help clear up any of the STD's that I might have caught during the act? Hi. A week ago I started getting a sore throat.I went to my doc on Monday and by then my tonsils were pretty swollen and had white lumps on them. I've had a few strep throats during my life so I figured that was it. My glands were fairly swollen too. Anyway she prescribed me Calvepen, which she said is pure penicillin. On Tuesday, I went to my own Doc (a different one) who prescribed me clavamel (apparently it's penicillin based).

Sometimes it is dry and does not itch and sometimes it raw and itches. It is a dark reddish/brownish in color and is slightly raised. Its been flaring up in me for the past few years. I've just never had a doctor that I could go to. I always avoid harsh cleansers but it never seems to completely go away. Any idea what this could possibly be and something I could do for it? He had some left over clarithromycin 500 mg about 10 days worth and he began taking that. I told him he should just get tested but he dosent have insurance currently and is unemployed. I also have intense pressure in my head..... intercranial pressure I guess its considered? and dizziness and intense muscle pain and tightness...... so bad in fact the pain is soooooo intense from the muscles being contracted that I cant even breath or move, even with muscle relaxers and muscle rub....... I just remember reading that there was an interaction between opiates and erythromycin that affected absorption of one (or the other). It was when I had to undergo a round of antibiotics myself, a few months back.I was told to watch for extra dowsiness or changes in how I felt from my meds. It ended up not affecting me and I was able to take the full course of antibiotics without any probs. But we are all different critters and Luv2, you are new to Fentanyl.

s been well over a month since I stopped taking Clarithromycin (sp?). As soon as I stopped taking it (and even a few days before), I was having tenderness in BOTH sides, not just my GM (left) breast. My first thought was definitely that it was starting again. But after a week or two of tenderness and shooting pains, it just stopped. My breast is almost normal again.

In the mean time, if augmentin and clindamycin are not effective, I would try erythromycin family drug, such as azithromycin or clarithromycin , paired with metronidazole(flagyl). If itis possible, antibiotic sensitivity test can be done in the lab to determine which antibiotic is most effective for the cultured bacteria. Hope this helps.
