since nov 2010 i have been in and out of hospital 3 times for the same symptoms very painful swollen testecalls each time given ciprofloxacin 500mg tablets,diclofenac sodium 50mg, for six weeks also told to go to st marys hosp to be checked for std have done so and am please to say all clear. been back to my dr for follow on check only to be given more diclofenac to take for another six weeks WHY?.
Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage,but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
2) Pennsaid solution (diclofenac sodium 1.5%) is another topical treatment similar to Voltaren gel (also made by Endo) that is approved for the treatment of knee arthritis symptoms. The recommended dose is 40 drops per knee, four times a day.
3) Lidoderm patches are patches with topical lidocaine, which works as a pain reliever. Lidoderm can work for low back pain among other things.
I ve tried also diclofenac drops and they help me the best actualy but also after some time I have like blured vision after using them.
At this time I am using artificial tears and sometimes diclofenac drops when redness is so bad...
Please let me know if anybody have similar problems...

My 59 year old husband, Hep C+ diagnosed in 2007, F-4 Cirrhosis diagnosed in 2010, compensated liver (last blood work was in July, 2012, and he has never had ascites, varices, or hepatic encephalopathy), and failed three Hep C treatments in past 5 years (last failure was triple tx w/Incivek stopped treatment mid-April, 2012 due to viral breakthrough), not currently on treatment.
Question: He has had pain and swelling on forearm recently.
will drinking na beer harm me if i have hep c,i,am not a alcolic,i just would like to have a beer with my friends,every now and then,they don,t know that i have this virus.
My Dr said a very definite NO when asked about the NA beer. I never thought about asking about a hot tub - raising the body temp. Maybe someone else has that answer.
My sides were mostly from the Ribavirin because it can cause anemia. The Sovaldi did contribute to the fatigue, but that wasn't bad until my Hmg dropped into the anemic range. Once off the meds, however, it came back up to the middle of the Normal Range quickly.

My liver levels two years ago were normal. How can this happen? I have been in Diclofenac (Naproxen) medicine for 3 1/2 months as result of a foot injury. Do you think my abnormal levels could be related to this medicine? I'm so concerned.
I am currently undergoing treatment with a urologist. No abnormality seen with the testes, Tested for herpes and chlamydia STD. Both tests negative. In any case, I have been treated with tinidazole and azithromycin in the event that there could be some bacterial infection though there has never been any discharge but it didn't make any difference. I had a cough for about two months, which has subsided after treatment. While the cough lasted i got a pain under my right breast extending to the area below my right underarm. At first it felt like a muscular sprain, it hurt to breathe in deeply, move in certain ways, etc. The pain has gone away, but at night when i sleep on my right side and then move i get this stinging/burning pain that wakes me. I also have less sensation to touch in the area.
