Avatar n tn Tell me how can i reduce my weight at home. Will running and walking harm my heart.I have checked my heart beats it ranges from 90 when i run or walk and 65-75 when relaxed. The heaviness and burning is not continous. I can walk, run, and work. when last time there was burnning sensation and my left side was heavy i had consulted my family doctor as well as friend. He took it lightly and told that there is nothing to worry and advised to take a dose of alparazolam, after which i felt better.
Avatar m tn I got prescribed Norco, lidocaine patches, and diclofenac 75 mg. Yesterday I took Norco and I put a lidocaine patch and I woke up with weird heart sensation, like slow heart rate or something. Could it be caused by lidocaine patch? I also take the following medication: Atorvastatin Calcium 80 Mg- 1 tab in the evening Carvedilol 6.
Avatar f tn Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore. I know it may sound strange but it works really well.

Avatar f tn Hi, I posted this question in the Cirrhosis forum, but I thought maybe I'd post it here too, since many members of the Hep C forum also have Cirrhosis. I have a question about an anti-inflammatory medication called Diclofenac for a person with Cirrhosis.
Avatar n tn Hello, Left-sided chest pain can have several causes like Costochondritis, Tietze’s syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Heart disease, Heartburn or Gastroesophageal reflux, and Anxiety. He can take pain relievers like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac. However, I would still suggest that you seek consult with a Doctor to exclude more serious causes of chest pain. Your Doctor would examine him and request for several tests like blood tests, Chest x-ray, EKG, and Echocardiogram.

Avatar m tn I made an urgent appointment with my primary doctor and he did a chest xray and EKG and decided that my heart is fine and that it's just a muscle strain. That cannot be true but he would not listen. I've been reading a lot of peoples' symptoms that are similar to mine and a lot of them have Congestive Heart Failure or Pericardial effusion. I don't know what to do from here. He prescribed Diclofenac Sodium for the supposed muscle strain.
681148 tn?1437661591 but Shanna707 and I were just talking about Diclofenac. I have had trouble too with a lot of NSAIDs and stomach upset and Diclofenac seems to be one I can tolerate and it really helps my shoulder pain. If that isn't an option, you could get a steroid shot? I have a couple of other tips: use a roller ball mouse for your computer so you are not moving your arm. You just move your thumb. It takes about a day or two to get used to, but it helps a lot.
653169 tn?1303446369 I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

1204528 tn?1588786333 You are correct. The usual interactions suggest a decrease in levels of the other drugs taken with carbamazepine. Try searching for 'carbamazepine metabolism' and 'diclofenac metabolism'. It shows that both meds are metabolized by CYP3A4. Diclofenac may decrease levels of CYPA4 (search 'diclofenac inactivation CYP3A4); this could potentially lead to increased levels of carbamazepine.
Avatar m tn Please try anti inflammatory drugs like diclofenac, ibuprofen etc along with hot compression and topical counterirritants. Avoid thick pillow, If no response is seen, do consult doctor and get Chest X ray, ECHO heart done. Do you get difficulty in breathing when you lie down?

Avatar n tn I have had mitral valve prolapse w/minor twinges of chest pain for 20 yrs. For 12 years I could not exercise without getting chest pain the next day. Then for the last 10 years I have been able to exercise with no problems. Then I had knee pain & was put on a 14 day dose of Diclofenac Sodium. After 10 days, I got chest pains for 2 days. I went off of medicine. Ever since whenever I exercise, I get chest pains the next day. I had stress test done & heart looks ok.
Avatar f tn There may be reasons why, for you, she is suspecting the Diclofenac and not the other. Give her a call and ask. Let us know what happens. I'm glad you're feeling better though - it must have all been pretty scary. I have allergies to some meds, but it's all skin reactions, not breathing stuff. I imagine that's terrifying.
