Avatar f tn They make me sick but I do take flintstone gummies, folic acid (I have a deficency so I take an extra separate pill) and I eat eggs on the morning (helps provide dha to help develop baby brains). For the most part though, prenatals are more for the mother to stay healthy and happy. The baby takes all of the mothers vitamins, leaving the mother with fatique, dizziness, and various other symptoms. I feel 10 times better now that I am taking my cocktail of vitamins.
Avatar f tn Now. Or my prenatal is a gummy and it has DHA already in it. Its called Vitafusion.

Avatar m tn t just one substance, Omega three are fatty acids just like Omega 6 fatty acids found in oils and meat etc. Omega 3 are EPA, DHA, and ALA . Some experts have said that the balance between Omega 6 fatty acids and Omega 3 is key, but just as many say this is nonsense. Omega 3 do have benefits, mainly reducing inflammation in the body, such as in the arteries or joints. It can also reduce your clotting factor if taken in too high doses, causing excessive bleeding.

The baby gets what he;she needs and your left with the leftovers basically. I did take folic acid the first 16 weeks and recently my iron was low so I'm on a supplement for that has well. There are lots of chewabke and even liquid options though for prenatal s though if you feel the need to take them.
Avatar n tn s disease, IBS, or poor metabolism by liver are the causes behind it. Please consult a doctor to rule these out. Take a diet rich in Vit B12 which should include meat and animal products, cheese, such as beef, liver, salmon, cod, and eggs. Take B12 supplements and breakfast cereals fortified with vitamin B12. Finding the cause is important. The rash could be due to Augmentin and other drugs you are taking.

I purposely made sure they had DHA & folic acid, but HOW did I miss that they didn't have iron in them?!!! what are some iron-rich foods you eat? I can NOT and will NOT swallow pills, and I told my OB I only take liquid medications, and she made the statement, "well, if you ever need something like iron I may not be able to give you a liquid or chewable pill..
