They are prescription so I get them for free which is nice, without insurance they are only $10. But they have dha and other supplements to help with morning sickness and stuff. Love them.

I had bought over the counter prenatal til I could get into my doctor then they prescribed me prenatals...

Lipil ....DHA supplement for pregnant women.........anyone else take these? I just want to make sure im on the right track. I'm going to see the obgyn tomorrow..........cannot wait!!!!

I think the one I was on was Prenate DHA (I hope I remember that correctly). It was pretty expensive, though, even with insurance. It was in the highest co-pay category, and I only "saved" something like a dollar or two by using insurance. Hopefully, your insurance is a bit better than mine!

What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.

DHA is a kind of Omega 3 fatty acid (which is usually DHA+EPA) Omega 3 s are considered really beneficial for our brain and general health..and considered really good for fertility.. they're found in fatty fish or you can take them as supplements..

Today I went to my first doctor appt, thanks to god everything looks great and she recommended me some vitamins but since I don't have insurance yet,she was supposed to give some today from the clinic but she didn't give me nothing

i take cvs brand prenatals (theres enough in the bottle for my whole pregnancy) and i showed them to my doctor and he said they were fine, and just reccomended me take a dha pill called expecta, cause my prenatals didnt have dha in them...but he said other than they they were perfect to take.

t get into the doctor until 20 weeks and my baby is perfectly healthy. Just be sure to eat right, and take your pre natal vitamins with DHA or a separate pre natal DHA vitamin with the pre natal and you should be fine. I freaked out about the same thing, and it all turned out to be just fine. Good luck!

I use to take Vitafol, but I got tired of paying $35/month with my BCBS PPO insurance. The One a Day Is actually better than the expansive brand.

d be ok for you to take Duet DHA instead of Gesticare DHA. Those are the ones I take and they are great. They even have a generic which of course has the excat same thing for only $5.00. It is also prescription. You don't have to pay that much for your vitamins :) Good Luck!

So my dr gave me 4 different prenatal vitamins to choose from, after reading up on all of them and taking them I choose Nestabs DHA but medicaid hadn't sent my insurance card so I bought gummy prenatal vitamins from GNC. They make me sick so I stopped taking them and finally got my "choosen" prenatals, as it turns out they make me sick also. About 6 months ago I bought generic prenatal vitamins from Dollar General because I was going to take them to get help getting pregnant.

Does ur prenatal vitamins have dha? Is it ok to take them tablets with dha? The one i take doesn't have it but im trying to get gummies to substitute but all gummies seem to have dha.

Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?

My dr wrote me a prescription for Vitafold Nano. However, my insurance only covers a small portion and its $100 a month. I've been taking samples but now I'm out. The past few nights I've taken just an OTC plus an extra folic acid. Are OTC just as good? Any advice is helpful. I rather not pay $100 if the other is just as good. Thanks!

I get a prescription from my OB. My insurance pays for them so they are free. Without insurance they are only $10. I forget what they are called, but they have a DHA supplement, iron, and ginger with other natural things for morning sickness.

Because of this reason and the cost, I am dropping my insurance, effective 1/1/12 and will not have insurance at all.

Try to get prenatal+DHA Just a few bucks more. And of course you can still get treatment.

I use prescription which is $10.00 and then i take the DHA pills which are $10. So total i pay about $20+ tax. There are only about 24 pills in each so i have to buy them once a month.

I use the ones from GNC for $20 a month. They have a lot of extra stuff, to include an extra pill for calcium and another one for DHA. I've done all the research and DHA is really good for the baby. I didn't use the ones the doctor prescribed me at first because the iron was too high and I was already sick enough. He told me to take Flinstones. Once I got off the Flinstones, I went with the GNC ones. I told him about it and he actually recommended I stayed with them.

Do you see a doctor? I had mine prescribed, I just felt better knowing my doctor was picking one he thought was best, otherwise, they are very much the same, if you compare the backs you'll see which ones have the best, and most amount of vitamins! I used vitafushion prenatals while we were TTC!

t smell disgusting like others and it goes down smoothly, but the price kills me! Even with the discount you can get online and my insurance, it is $52. See if your employer or health insurance company offers a maternity program. If they do they will usually give you free literature and books and samples anf good website resources and advice on the telephone any time you need it. Wtewye is a good book. Mayo clinic guide to a healthy pregnancy also good. You really only need to read one since they are both comprehensive. I bought both because I love reading and having info.
