So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
The FDA says that it is safer to have DHA from a non fish source. I say the DHA is straight from the fish and not good to take! I would not take it or stop. I take the one Enfimil makes and it is I think $11 a month from Walmart and it is from a none fish source. I would tell your ob you wnat another one if you don't want that one!
DHA is a kind of Omega 3 fatty acid (which is usually DHA+EPA)
Omega 3 s are considered really beneficial for our brain and general health..and considered really good for fertility..
they're found in fatty fish or you can take them as supplements..
I dont think mine have dha in them. I take the target generic brand prenatals with this pregnancy and did with my son and he is a happy healthy almost 3 yr old. My original obgyn with my son said any prenatal is fine and my 2nd with this pregnancy agreed but when I had an appt with a midwife she told me only dha prenatals and I needed a natural brand. Who knows?!
What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.
The DHA supplements r believed 2 help brain development, but they are NOT proven 2 help anything. That's what my doctor told me. I wouldn't worry so much...DHA in prenatals is a relatively new thing...take our moms 4 instance, they didn't take DHA and we're obviously fine!!
I was given Cartizone tablets ( Wyselone). I went to retina specialist on noticing no vision in left eye. He on checking , said there is fluid accumulation on retina and asked me to visit him two weeks after stoppage of Wyselone. Yesterday we visted him and on checking he found atrorphy in middle part of retina. He said nothing much can be done.

Thanks for the reply. I’m waiting to hear back to see if the specialist at the hospital want to see me. Im guessing it could be a couple of weeks.

after one test(i do not know the name of the test) she was told that she has a hole in retina of her right eye. the retina specialist told her that he will decide if he is going to do surgery or not after 4 months. he said that he will do surgery if the hole gets bigger.
1. every hole needs a surgery? if so, as long as there is a hole, the surgery should be done as soon as possible to prevent vision loss?
