Avatar f tn I get prenatal vitamins with DHA in it. They are larger than regular prenatals, but they did have gummy prenatals that contain DHA (probably because the pills are so big). You take 2 gummies a day.
Avatar f tn maybe try eating fiber cereal in the morning? My cousin told me prune juice and pear juice work really well for babies.
1192727 tn?1282735542 DHA is a omega fatty acid but buy it by itself in pharmacies and NOT as FISH IOL becase fish iol has ETA as well and it may affect the baby. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid. It is found in cold water fatty fish and fish oil supplements, along with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Vegetarian sources of DHA come from seaweed.
Avatar f tn I usually have to eat a good breakfast before taking it with orange juice or apple juice.
Avatar f tn cause they are huge horse sized haha. But I also take the dha prenatals. Which are strawberry flavored. And gel. Try and see if yyou can crush them up and mix it with your milk or juice... it might help.
Avatar f tn Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?

Avatar f tn What are each pill? Mine is only one. I highly suggest taking them right before you go to sleep and with milk or juice instead of water. If you have a hard time swallowing pills, there are chewables you can get instead.
5787494 tn?1387148684 I'm a curvy girl already and I was pre-pregnancy a lot in part because of my hypothyroidism. But anyways, I'm trying to eat healthier for me and the baby. I don't want to develop gestational diabetes and I was wondering what are good foods to eat? Meal ideas? Etc.
Avatar f tn I like the Nature Made Prenatals.
Avatar f tn Does ur prenatal vitamins have dha? Is it ok to take them tablets with dha? The one i take doesn't have it but im trying to get gummies to substitute but all gummies seem to have dha.
Avatar f tn Any are fine you just want to make sure they for sure have folic acid. I take a target generic brand one and works fine. I havr a 2 yr old and took them the entire time with him too.
Avatar f tn I'm 13w5d and I'm so constipated. I haven't gone in over a week. I feel like I need to go but nothing comes out. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I cut out all of my sugary sodas and teas. I drink water, flavored water, apple and cranberry juice, tomato juice. I snack on fruits and veggies. I thought it was my prenatals and dha that were making me sick. I switched to night taking them. Also I was on 2 different antibiotics but i have finished those cycles about 4 days ago and still feel sick. Could it be possible that i am further along than 6.3? I was in the hospital Sept 3 and had surgery.
907968 tn?1292622204 Look on the bottle of your pills to see how much EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) they contain in each capsule. These oils are good for the heart and brain, and you need 500mg daily for a healthy heart and 1000mg for the brain. Some pills are 1000mg, but only contain 240mg of the essential oils per pill. So, you really need to take 4 of them a day.
Avatar f tn Coffee works pretty good too! BUT if your eating your fiber and drinking alot of water sounds like you might need some over the counter help. I actually have a script from my doc for a stool softner so maybe ask your OB for a script or what exactly they recomend you take over the counter!
Avatar f tn You can drink Aloe Juice or take Colace. Aloe juice has no taste you can put an oz in your orange juice, or apple, whatever. It is safe and will help lower high blood pressure and will help prevent against gestational diabetes. Colace is a stool softener, I tried it with my first pregnancy and it didn't work well for Me. But each person and each pregnancy is different. I hope that this information helps you.
Avatar f tn I do as well, i always had a problem with pills. So ive got rainbow light vitamins in mini, they're smaller but you have to take 3 daily.i also have to take then with juice otherwise they won't go or stay down.
Avatar f tn So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
Avatar f tn The FDA says that it is safer to have DHA from a non fish source. I say the DHA is straight from the fish and not good to take! I would not take it or stop. I take the one Enfimil makes and it is I think $11 a month from Walmart and it is from a none fish source. I would tell your ob you wnat another one if you don't want that one!
Avatar f tn d recommend for the rest of your pregnancy that you eat a few prunes in the morning and in the evening to maintain regular bm. Kiwi fruit with the skin on works well too!
Avatar f tn DHA is a kind of Omega 3 fatty acid (which is usually DHA+EPA) Omega 3 s are considered really beneficial for our brain and general health..and considered really good for fertility.. they're found in fatty fish or you can take them as supplements..
Avatar f tn I dont think mine have dha in them. I take the target generic brand prenatals with this pregnancy and did with my son and he is a happy healthy almost 3 yr old. My original obgyn with my son said any prenatal is fine and my 2nd with this pregnancy agreed but when I had an appt with a midwife she told me only dha prenatals and I needed a natural brand. Who knows?!
Avatar n tn Zantac 150 or pickle juice.
