My neurologist recently put me on a Detrol LA for a week, then had me add Flomax. I noticed a slight improvement with the Detrol, but when I added the Flomax things urinary got dramatically better. But, shortly after starting the Flomax, I discovered that I did not produce any ejaculate! Not that sex is a big thing with me (staying upright while standing takes precidence), but it is still an important part of life (if only rarely).
My symptoms did not improve and I began on Vesicare, which did not help, and now I am on Detrol LA. This does not seem to be helping either. I am continuing to urinate 20-30 times a day. Sitting also makes it worse. Please help. I cannot continue to live like this.

This is my understanding of the patient assistance programs for Incivek. The list price, which no patient will have to end up paying, is $49,200 for 12 weeks. HOWEVER, the patient assistance programs, are more than generous. Typical Co-pay for the three prescriptions that will be needed will be between $50 and $250 each.
The usual treatments for this condition are pelvic muscle strengthening exercises, behavioural therapy and medication( detrol la) etc. Also, if you are urinating very frequently check the amount of fluid intake, check blood sugars and get a urine analysis with culture done.
Before going in for any over the counter medicines I would advise to visit a urologist for confirmation of diagnosis and further assistance on treatment.

could anyone give me ideas as to where or who i would contact to get some patient assistance for acute hep c treatment? I am not working, cannot wait on s.s. disability. I try to do some construction work when available, but it is really rough.
Without the patient assistance program I probably wouldn't be SVR - when my insurance refused to let me extend, they coudln't have made it easier and didn't even make me feel bad about needing them to help.
All of my doctor visits, labs, biopsy, and roughly $80k worth of medications were paid for by the county because I was a low income resident. Vertex donated the Incivek through their patient assistance program.
There are long waits at the clinic, long waits at the hospital, but since I wasn't working and getting treated, I was grateful. I felt very lucky to be getting treatment without health insurance.

You could ask your doctor if you could qualify for the Patient Assistance Program. This is where certain pharmaceutical companies can for a specified time frame provide specific medications without charge for a person without health insurance. Find the website for the names of the medications you are taking. Then you can see if the companies who make them participate in this program.
