My symptoms did not improve and I began on Vesicare, which did not help, and now I am on Detrol LA. This does not seem to be helping either. I am continuing to urinate 20-30 times a day. Sitting also makes it worse. Please help. I cannot continue to live like this.

My question (after all that build up) is are any other men here on Flomax combined with Detrol LA? And, if so, has anyone had the same experiences that I previously explained? Finally, does the body seem to adapt to Flomax, and return to semen production (without abdominal pain after orgasm)?
I apoogize if my language seems quite blunt, but I'm extremely concerned (especially the abdominal pain after, even though short-lived).
I'm not sure, but have you (or has he) checked with his cardiologist? If so, what does he/she say? Hope the move goes well and you enjoy your new home!
I have been told by my doctor that I have a chronic case of IC....(about three years ago) I was ok for awhile and, now the severe pain has returned....which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...
Just like after a trip from the dentist, the feeling you have when the numbness begins to fade and the pain takes affect. I just started taking Detrol LA again last Friday and could not find any related side effect except for joint pain. I have been searching online everywhere for answers.
I will not be able to see a doctor for another four days (if I can be seen on Black Friday).
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing all of this trouble?
Should I be worried?

Yes, both cystoscopes showed bladder lining clear and pink, no irritation, got the microlab back today and no cancer cells, so that was good, only thing abnormal was the WBC Esterase was abnormal and Urologist said back to stronger antibiotic, Doxcycycline, and Detrol La to relieve muscle spasm... does that sound like urologist is on the right track? yeah, side effects can vary. I've had hair loss for years and it seems a lil worse. I'm thinking of trying Nioxin shampoo. I was terrified at times and raring at the bits at other times. I changed all my skin, hair care products and beefed up nutirition in preparation for tx. I think it helped. No huge surprises so far. The transplant hospital told me that determination was the key to achieving SVR. I'm figuring that out. Nothing like itchy skin or diarreah is gonna stop me.
ve tried many different overactive bladder medications, such as Detrol LA. I am now on Desmotabs, which I thank the world that I found, as this has all but stopped the night-time issue. Still, I wonder if there's anyone out there with my symptoms, that has found a way to best it. The D tabs are fantastic, and I can usually take a couple before going out with friends, and not have to make the usual 100 trips to the bathroom in a night, so it has greatly reduced my anxiety and embarrassment.
I was put on Cipro XL for 6 days and the infection cleared but not the fequency and urgency to urinate. My doctor gave me Detrol LA a week ago and the symptoms have subsided greatly.
On Sunday, my husband and I had intercourse. I lubed up well and all was good. Again on Tuesday night, we had intercourse - no pain. Wednesday morning, after I urinated, I noticed blood on the toilet paper. After 3 wipes, no more blood. There was not much blood. I went to the ER - urine is fine.
Hi everybody ok heres my problem that maybe somebody knows what is wrong with me starting about a month ago i have been feeling pressure too pee and when i go little to nothing comes out and i have to go like every five min and that goes on for like a week or two and then it stops and im fine then after a week or two it comes back and it happens again the er sent a urine culture out and it came back fine and also the urology doctor did a urine test and it was fine he did a ultrasound of my bladd
He took another specimen and everything was clear. He gave me a weeks supply of Detrol LA.(not sure why because its not like I am having to go all the time I just feel like I do) I am still taking it on my third day. I am still not feeling normal. My belly feels bloated or full. I was just curious as to what could be making me feel this way and what should I do next. Is it my bladder or something else? Or can I still have an infection or could the infections have damaged my bladder?
Things that they tried for me include medications like Flomax and Detrol LA. These meds give relieve on some areas but does not really deal with the prostatitis. One thing that gives me some relief at times is a hot bath.
I'm sorry but I'm afraid that there is no real treatment option other than trial and error.
I used to work as a heavy duty mechanic and I had many sleepless nights causing me to mis work due to the discomfort as well as being tired.
org/posts/show/210 , that excessive amounts of cortisone can cause excessive thirst, excessive hunger, and hair loss. Taz (his name) has a great deal of hair loss the past few days. We have literally combed off 3 wal-mart bags full to the top of hair, and yet somehow he has no bald spots, no red spots, no skin bleeding, no cracking....etc.. He does have dandruff and has had staph infection of the skin before. Today we brought him to the vet to get checked and they say he's absolutely fine.
My PCP put me on Detrol LA years ago, it was the only MS symptom I had at the time, not that we knew it was related to MS at the time. Hind sight, anyway the Detrol LA has really settled down the sudden and frequent urges. I still drink a lot of water, but now its more "normal" and go any where from 20 minutes to an hour. I start slowing down on the amount of water in the late afternoon/evening, but still get up usually once a night, but life is much better.
Hi sandie, my bladder problem was frequency and urgency. I used to get up 5 to 8 times at night, and now I only have to get up once or twice per night because of my prescription of Detrol LA. (i'm not sure if this is like Vesicare or not)
I don't recal ever getting the pains, tingling, etc you're asking about. Maybe it's because i'm a male...or i just don't remember.
