Avatar m tn These results are from only one arm of prove 3 -- the 24 week arm. The results of the arm I was in will be released next. I was in the 24 + 24 week arm and I think these results will show a higher SVR rate. I was one of the first patients enrolled and I just passed the 48 week post treatment date, so it will probably be a couple of months before the results are made public.
Avatar f tn Am starting abbot phase 3 trials may 6th. Would like to hear from all who have been through or are going through this study.
Avatar n tn The interferon dose was increased dramatically; Ribaviron was added; Pegalyated interferon was introduced and weight base Riba was added.
Avatar m tn My last post was a little loopy. I was up late at the ER with a son who needed a appendectomy. When I posted at about 1:30 AM I was mildly delirious. I woke up and thought.....uh oh..... did I really post that silliness last night? (yup!) By the way, the son had a successful opertion. I'm running on 4 hours of sleep but that's nothing compared to what many of you run on. The Commander Cody song was "Mama Hated Deisels so Bad" (I think...that it had something...
Avatar f tn Good point, jennyvictoria. I assume the results were from a cycle day 3 blood draw, right? That's usually when they do the preliminary testing.
Avatar m tn Along with Valdoxan (Expected to be FDA approved soon) we also can look foward to another much different AD medication that even Valdoxan. It's called Saredutant. It is currently in phase 3 trials and is far different than the SSRI's and SNRI's we have all become so familiar with.
Avatar m tn 2 and the one thing that sticks out to me is that all are basically the same except for the T/P/R 8 week and the extended 16 weeks of P/R to bring it to 24 weeks in the phase 3 trial. I am wondering if the 8 week T/P/R is shorter than the other 12 week T/P/R’s in prove 1&2 because of the severe rash associated with the longer duration of the 12 week course?
1510636 tn?1290087012 this condition is termed left ventricle diastolic (pumping phase) dysfunction. Preserved function (systolic, pumping phase) is not impaired. Septum is the wall that separates the right and left side of the heart, and sometimes when that enlarges that can restrict blood out flow by effecting the output tract...doesn't appear to be a problem. Quote: "Mitral regurgitation with evidence of SAM (systolic anterior motion) observed in the four chamber view only.
Avatar m tn Also, from what I have read, it is usually better, if one is going to be in a trial, to get into a Phase 3 trial. It is further along. Also, know your options, such as the availability of a rescue arm if the arm you get into is not working. I did find some information on GS_5816. http://www.natap.org/2013/EASL/EASL_34.htm I also found another discussion about this trial (I think it is the same one you are talking about).
Avatar f tn I went to the dr.s office today to get bloodwork and a utrasound done. I kind of got depressed because when the u/s tech was doing my u/s she looked like there was something wrong. She asked me if I got my bloods drawn yet and I told her after this I was going to get them drawn. She said I didn't switched over to hh yet. Apparently, I'm between a ie and hh. Also, when she handed me the paper to bring up front it read that I had a 11 and one less then 3 follicle.
407790 tn?1397761026 For the past two and a half years, my VCA IgG, EBNA IgG and VCA IgM results have been high (Early Antigen is negative.) Going by the interpretation charts, it seems like I'm in the "convalescent phase." But isn't two and a half years an awfully long time to be convalescing? (If I had mono I never knew it, so this may have been going on even longer than that.
Avatar f tn The focus of test results relate to left ventricular diastole function (chamber filling phase) and degree of functionality. LV dysfunction can lead to heart failure, or there can be heart failure with preserved LV systolic function (pumping phase). The findings listed indicate some abnormality in size for left side chambers. Concentric LVH can diminish filling space and stiff walls don't contract very well.
950472 tn?1246074550 I went ot the doc and had blood work done and he told me when they took the blood it showed I was going through my luteal phase...and that I should have started either that day or at least two days following. That was three weeks ago.now my main question is since I was in my luteal phase does that mean i FOR SURE ovulated?
Avatar m tn m considering participation in phase lll trials, I have Hep C type 1B and have fibrous stage 3(Isacs rating) viral loads very high, have been asked if I want to enter phase lll trials for 1626. Do you still have to take the inteferon with the treatment?? I've been told the rate of clearing the virus was 100% for those that finished phase ll trials at a boston hospital. Any feedback from anyone who started and quite as well as those finishing the trials would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn On the other hand there are many new drugs in the pipeline that may have even better efficacy and with your amount of liver damage ,waiting could be a consideration, however these may be anywhere from 3 to 5 years away still. When to treat is a always a personal desicion and one best taken with a knowledgeable doctors advice.. Good luck..
