i started use Desogestrel in december at start when my period came was all fine period was gone after 4 days. january 4th started some lil bleeding and spotting and didnt stopped ever since. like 3 weeks ago i went to my doctor she said lets change to Slynd . but i am still spotting sometimes more sometimes less. my question is if i take a 1 week brake and resume taking pills will stop the spotting ?
hi, i am taking ethinylestradiol/desogestrel richter 0.02 mg/0.15 mg, and i was supposed to start my 7 day pill free yesterday, but i forgot to, instead i started with my next strip of pill yesterday.. what should i suppose to do? should i stop taking the pill for the next 6 days and i will have my period in days or should i continue taking the pill for another 20 days?
my girlfriend and I have had a scare and we want to take the morning after pill (LEV 0.75) and also want to start birth control pills. Her period was a few days ago and we are wondering if she can take the morning after today and then start the regular birth control tomorrow or the next day?

Hi. I just started taking birth control pills. I was recommended microgynon 30 which contains ethinylestradiol 30 mcg / levonorgestrel 150 mcg. I took the pill on the first day of my period at 10pm
That evening I lost the pill pack and as microgynon 30 wasn't available at the GP's office, I was instead put on Gedarel 30/150 which contains ethinylestradiol 30 mcg / desogestrel 150 mcg.
II am trying to pin-point which of my female hormones is out of whack and causing, or at least contributing, to such terrible weekly Migraine headaches. Anyone know a good BC pill for individuals with severe, chronic Migraine headaches during ovulation AND menstruation?
I am 29 yrs old, average weight, in fair health, have never been pregnant, and started my period at age 11.
we had sex about a week after i changed my pill to the desogestrel pill.
Now since 2 weeks I also have mucus in my stool and I get very worried. I also take thyroid medication for Hashimoto and Desogestrel all the time for the Endometriosis. It would be great if anyone could help me. I went by the doctor already though they tell me to just eat healthy, which I do since 7 years now.
Would Mircette be an option with desogestrel being less angrogenic? Also, any experience with prescribed HALF tab of OC? (ie. instead of Loestrin 1/20.. use 0.5/10 for hormonal imbalance?) Just concerned about initial breakout.
Just some background... I have not used OC previously. I have no family history of breast cancer, no hypertension, non-smoker, and had 2 migraines in the past 5 years.
Ahh.. birth control pills.. I had breakthrough bleeding a month before I went off the pill (been off about a month, was on various types for about 3.5 years.)
From what I've heard, the higher the dosage of hormones (especially the progesterone---it's what keeps your endometrium, the part that makes your period, from shedding), the less you'll breakthrough bleed... but I tell you this: stress matters.
I have been placed on the BCP Apri (ethinyl estradiol/desogestrel) for the past 3 months and instructed to take only the active pills/skipping the inactive, this way I will not have a menstrual cycle to aid in alleviating the pain. So far, the pain has subsided, I am no longer experiencing pain at a 10 but more so on a 1.
Those six pills a day are ribavirin. He probably takes shot of Interferon once a week too. At his point it's basically the only game in town for him. Since he has cirrhosis already, he needs to get the hepatitis resolved. Make sure that he stay on track with the treatment, not taking any days off. Even with cirrhosis, he can become cured. You could probably call it chemo. Newer treatments are in drug trials now but will not be readily available for a year or two.

If you have a good relationship with your doctor then I think you are doing the right thing. The only way to go about this and to be sure you get help is to be honest. Tell him that you have begun abusing the medication and you have become addicted. Ask him to set you up on a taper plan. That being said, know that tapering is tricky business and not always successful.
Can someone check my math? has it only been 5 days for me? It feels like eons. The good news? Absolutely no drugs for 3 days (I took a perc the first 2 days off OX as part of tapering). I think the WD's are behind me for the most part (though energy is still down). I suffered them during my tapering (for approx a week before Feb 22).
dont take anymore morphine or anything else in that class, thats only putting off the w/ds....
My last appointment was Thursday, 9-11 & they told me I was only 1cm.. Im starting to fear that I wont dilate and that I'll have to have a C-section, which I don't want. I feel like I walk enough, but I dont have any contractions . FTM btw.
REALLY DONT LIKE THE DURING & AFTER TASTE OF THE PRENATAL PILLS IS THEIR ANYTHING ELSE I CAN TAKE? OR GOOD A BRAND PREHAPS?
