desmopressin backorder

My father had a brain tumor removed and now has to take a nasal spray called Desmopressin. His endocranologist only wants him to use it one time a day, but the problem is he goes to the bathroom sometimes every 15 minutes!!!! He is also on 1/2 mg of Dexamethasone and that's part of the problem. Sometimes he takes two puffs a day but the doctor doesn't want him to do that daily.

There is a drug called Desmopressin (DDAVP) it reduces urine production at night. But drinking too much liquid with the medication can cause problems, and Desmopressin should be avoided if you have symptoms such as a fever, diarrhea or nausea. Be sure to carefully follow instructions for using this drug. Desmopressin is given orally as a tablet and is only for patients over 5 years old.

I called my drugstore (CVS) this morning to have my armour of 120 mg refilled. They told me it was on backorder from the manufacturer and they were not getting a ship date from them. They told me they had other mg. but not this one. Has anyone else had this happen? Truly, this is the LAST thing I need right now!

t mention in your question what medication you were taking. Commonly central DI is treated with desmopressin. Desmopressin works by limiting the amount of water passed in the urine. I don't know why you would suddenly notice a decrease in your symptoms after 34 years. I would recommend making an appointment with your regular doctor to see what might be causing this. Until you can be seen, it is important that you remain aware of your fluid intake and output.

What should I do?? My mail-in prescription service is telling me the manufacturer cannot supply Lomedia 24fe right now (this has been going on since January). I just called a few pharmacies and they said the same - "it's on backorder". I love this birth control and I'm worried I wont be able to get it in time. What are some other options that are just like Lomedia 24fe???? Does anyone know if this is being discontinued?? I'll be so upset!

today the consultant gave me tablets called desmopressin acetate. i understand they reduce urine amounts. will try but cant see them working well. Any new ideas or anyone with same prob please help.

DDAVP, Stimate, Minirin) is a synthetic replacement for vasopressin, the hormone that reduces urine production. It may be taken nasally, or as a tablet. Lack of the hormone vasopressin is more common in men than in women. Typically, those that do not produce enough will "correct" by the end of puberty (19-25 years old for men). Many people feel much when taking both T-4 and T-3 and are low on T-3 as well. There are many T-4/T-3 drugs on the market. Armour, I believe is on backorder but not discontinued. But there are others such as Westhroid and Naturethroid available which I know you can get.I hope that help a little. Take care.

Target said they would order for me once the backorder lifts (Nature-throid on backorder because of Armour). but who carries it ?

I have paid $50-60 for the shot. But lately is on backorder everywhere and it might be a little difficult to find. Not all the pharmacys have it. Ask your doctor what pharmacy is near you that has infertility meds. With the clomit i ovulated only once in a 6 cycle of trying.
