Avatar n tn On those days (when he takes two puffs) he only goes to the bathroom 4-5 times the whole day, which is great because I can take him places and get him out of the house. Does anyone know or take Desmopressin more often than one time a day??? If so how many times?? Any information would be helpful!!
Avatar m tn But drinking too much liquid with the medication can cause problems, and Desmopressin should be avoided if you have symptoms such as a fever, diarrhea or nausea. Be sure to carefully follow instructions for using this drug. Desmopressin is given orally as a tablet and is only for patients over 5 years old.
Avatar f tn Usually what happens is when starting meds for AD, you wind up, through trial and error, going through sometimes MAny meds and dosages before you get to the one that "Works for You"..I am starting on my 4th one tomorrow. Hoping it will be the "one". I would certainly give your doc a call tomorrow as you should not have to continue tdeal w/ those symptoms. Is it a Cardio who rx'ed you this?
Avatar f tn i went to the er and had my blood work taken and urine taken and all the test results came back fine nothing wrong does anyone else know a reason why this would be happening?
Avatar n tn when i then urinate it is only a very small amount but my bladder feels empty and i can go to sleep.. this occurrs sometimes 10 times a night. I also get the feeling in the afternoon and evening but it is not bothersome that i need to urinate immediately. i only have the problem when im tryin to sleep. i can hold it in but is obviously uncomfotable. ive had a few prostrate checks, ostoscopy and bladder biopsies over the years but they have not shown any problems.
Avatar n tn Hi, You had underwent a thorough assessment and seems like incontinence and interstitial cystitis were ruled out. When was the last time you had a cystoscopy done? Were you able to get some blood tests done.Hormonal imbalance due to pituitary dysfunction and diabetes may lead to increased urinary frequency( after structural problems like stones have ben ruled out) .Also are you previously taking any medications?
Avatar m tn I get facial migraines and am extrmely sensitive to light, sun, smells and loud noises. You?
Avatar m tn Hi, Do not feel embarrassed, such problems are quite common and doctors are there to help you. So, do consult a urologist and get appropriate treatment. Here is a link that gives a lot of details about this problem: http://www.nafc.
Avatar f tn Loss of mobility and spends most of his days in bed or in his room. Myotonic seizures, labored breathing and on oxygen. Difficulty swallowing, constipation and diarrhea, loss of memory, cognitive dysfunction, electric shocks up the spine, stammers when talking, depression, extreme fatigue. Sharp shooting pains in his chest, amongst other symptoms. He has had MRI done on brain and spine, showing a large Virchow robin space and chronic ischemia as well as indication of mini strokes.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately I pee/ and get thirsty without the med. Right now I am taking the smallest pill, and break it in half. I take it before I go to bed. I seem to be able to do ok without taking it during the day (because I can drink/pee as much as i need to. If I do not take the DDAVP at night I wake up 4-6 times needing to drink water and pee. What test said that you do not need DDAVP? The water deprivation test is the gold standard. I hope to hear from you.
Avatar n tn For my whole life, I have had problems with bedwetting; I wake up in the night and my bed is soaked with pee and it is not a matter of me being lazy. ( I do not have incontinence during the day). There are times when this problem has gotten better, but it has never completely gone away and has always been an issue that I worry about and am deeply embarrassed about and ashamed of. It has been especially bad recently (I wet the bed 3 times this week), and is making me feel depressed and hopeless.
Avatar m tn If still the symptoms persist then medical treatment with desmopressin, imipramine and anticholinergics can be tried. Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Kind regards.
Avatar f tn I have many of the symptoms and lesions on MRI and am seeing an MS specialist the beginning of December. My question is really about seizures and MS. Monday I had a couple of Grand Mal seizures, they were not the first in my lifetime, but there haven't been many. Since the seizures on Monday (today is Thur.) my legs are VERY weak. Could the seizure been the beginning of a relapse? The seizures happened after a horrible bout with cluster headaches.
309199 tn?1237500652 I thought I was having seizures, but I think now they're something else (see below post!) Complex seizures can involve blacking out. I know that SunnyToday has seizures, and she's being evaluated to find out what's causing her neurological problems. They don't think she has epilepsy - it's just another manifestation of a disorder.
Avatar f tn Complex partial seizures can develop into larger seizures (generalized seizures) and cause you to go unconscious. Again, I hope you can see your doctor soon. Try posting your question on the epilepsy forum. You will probably have better luck getting your questions answered.
Avatar n tn I had my thyroid removed for cancer in 2006 and starting experiencing simple partial seizures a month later and have been dealing with them ever since. I have had two tonic clonic seizures and the auras I have always revolve around my menstraul cycle even with being on birth control and two seizure meds. I know for certain the seizures are in direct relation to having my thyroid removed.
Avatar f tn Will medication help depression that is not continuos. I am an epileptic and 99% of my seizures occur when I am depressed or worried. Things depress me about twice a month, for two or three days. I believe if I didn't get depressed my seizures would be under control. Does depression medicine help ocassional depression?
Avatar f tn it is a good question i started having seizures just a couple months before i turned 30 never a sign or any indication that led up to my first g mal but ive been diagnosed with bipolar borderline personality disorder and ptsd and for my seizures ive been tested and tested to see where they might be comin from ive always have joked sayin its my mind short circuiting cause i just process way to much at one time but after readin up on my mental diagnosis im really beginning to wonder because im now
Avatar m tn which occur in my temporal lobe in my brain (I believe that is the part of your brain near your eyes). When I have a seizure, I get a strange feeling, and nothing else. No twitching or grand mal seizures. When my seizures are strong, I have a feeling that everything is fake, almost as if someone told you that you are in the Matrix. My doctor started me on 250mg of Keppra once a day, 90 minutes before laying down to go to sleep.
Avatar n tn I have. My daughter has epilepsy and she doesn't sleep well at all. She is currently on Magnesium and Calcium and Melatonin and she is doing well. It has decreased her seizures. If she doesn't sleep well her seizures increase. I also found diet works as well. No sugar, wheat, dairy or gluten.
Avatar m tn For some reason it makes me stop having seizures and the exact opposite if im not having seizures... weird but I would personally take her advice on this matter if I were you Candy.
Avatar n tn I developed seizures as a full adult and Pauli Girl was too damn good to give up just because of all the damn new pills added to my diet. After some real scares from continued seizures despite multiple medications I left the Girl. Out fishing I still occasionly think of cold beer but haven't had a seizure since stopping. Is that what stopped them? Don't know but it's not worth it to me to start experimenting.
