I’ve seen a dermatologist for this and she concluded that it’s Urticaria although I don’t have any rashes or hives. She prescribed me Aerius (desloratadine) but it doesn’t stop the itching at all and is completely useless as far as I can tell.
What’s also strange is that I currently live in Dubai, UAE where I was born and raised and have supposedly gotten used to the heat. However, my condition started when I came back to Dubai after living in the UK for five years.
t buy it regularly as it is more expensive is Aerius which uses desloratadine, a metabolite of loratadine (copied from their site). I got no side effects from either one.
She told me there is no inflammation, everything looks fine and gave me antihistaminic tablets Aerius and corticosteroid Mometasone nose spray. It did not help, hearing got worse so I got corticosteroid Prednison. That did not help either. Every month I went to audiometry,the results got only worse. The doctor said it could be otosclerosis and run a HRCT for the right ear and it was ok, my ear was completely normal.They tried a MRI of my head and brain and also everything ok too.
I used Biaxin (anti-biotics), started with Symbicort (puffer), then on Alvesco and now I am on Nasacort, Advair and Aerius. Is this a post virus cough, asthma or something else...your thoughts?
i went to dermatologist and he gave Desloratadine and citrizine for 2 weeks....during the medication it is ok,but after 2 weeks again the same condition.So i dint went to doctor again.Before all this i tried Levocitrizine and i felt better than above drugs ,so im now taking citrizine for once for 2 days and if i stop taking it ,again got same (symtomps)condition.So how long should i take this drugs? becouse i dont know about H1 or H2 drugs.Please gave me effective drugs and how to take.

I'm 35 yrs old, the worst area is on my scalp and on my bottom will flare up so badly, it's almost unbarable..Taking Benadryl daily to relief the burning itch..I'm now on Aerius 5mg. It seems to hit me after i eat. I decided to go Gluten Free for the last month now, which has helped alot. But i still seem to break out daily, but I'm now able to tolerate it..
She recommends me to take desloratadine antihistamine every time this rashes appear again. i need your help.. is there any way that this allergy will not occur even though i would not take this kind of medicine? Kindly reply..

I also have this rash on my arms, legs and chest but not like on the face. In Monday she prescribed me antibiotics (doxycycline) and I see no change to better. I'm feeling like my face will fall of. It burns and sometimes is itchy. I didn't have rubeola(Measles) or chicken pox as a child.

But think of the cost of the antihistamines you are using, I am using one aerius almost everyday for most of the year (daily from march to november when for some reason it is worse) and almost daily for the rest of the year. This is roughly $28 X 12months = $336 a year on meds. That is over $2000 for the 6 year period.
I have the exact same thing! I take Aerius (antihistamine) and use Taro-Clobetasol (a topical corticosterooid cream) and it clears it up within a few days! Hope this helps!

I have had seasonal allergies along with dust, cat and dog allergies too since 30 years ago. I finally had 5 years of allegy shot ending aroung 2005, This year has been so bad with all the pollen I feel like I'm right back to day one. My eyes are itchy, my nose runs and my palate is so itchy. I take Atrovent for post nasal drip, aerius for the allergies and I'm also on Advair 250 discuss. Why is this happening after all these years? Will it go away or am I supposed to get shots again.

I am a 45 yr old male. I have asthma from birth, and I use Aerius 1xd, Singulair 2xd, Symbicort 400/12 3xd, and Ventolin when needed.

i have suffered from possible salicylate induced urticaria for about 18 months, recently my gp switched my anti-histamine from ceterizine to desloratadine and even though i occasionally still have mild reactions this medication really seems to help. However i am now suffering from a totally different skin condition, unlike anything i hav ever had before.
It started about 9 weeks ago.
m having these tiny round bumps that grows on my chest and more on my back....had seen a doc about it....prescribed me desloratadine tablet and zineryt...used for two weeks as prescribed but didn't notice any improvement......what should I do?
