Started the antihistamine day 6 after embryo transfer without thinking or consulting the dr.(i always took it during pregnancy and thought its safe but never at such an early stage of pregnancy). Tested positive BHCG day8 after transfer +hcg22 day11+hcg53 day16 hcg56 day18 dropped hcg36. Can the reason of miscarriage be the use of antihistamine ? can antihistamine stop implantation from continuing ?
Avatar f tn t buy it regularly as it is more expensive is Aerius which uses desloratadine, a metabolite of loratadine (copied from their site). I got no side effects from either one.
Avatar f tn I’ve seen a dermatologist for this and she concluded that it’s Urticaria although I don’t have any rashes or hives. She prescribed me Aerius (desloratadine) but it doesn’t stop the itching at all and is completely useless as far as I can tell. What’s also strange is that I currently live in Dubai, UAE where I was born and raised and have supposedly gotten used to the heat. However, my condition started when I came back to Dubai after living in the UK for five years.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was seen in the ER today for a migraine and they gave me a mixture of compazine, benadryl, toradol and a steroid through an IV. I was wondering what possible side effects I may encounter.
Avatar n tn I have the exact same thing! I take Aerius (antihistamine) and use Taro-Clobetasol (a topical corticosterooid cream) and it clears it up within a few days! Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn You might want to do a bit more research on the timing of taking this injection It takes a few hours for the side effects to hit and by doing your injection just before bedtime the timing is you are feeling flu-like as you are waking in the morning. As I understand it, if you adjust the timing and do it several hours before bed, the flu-like symptoms occur more while you are asleep. There is good information on the page for Rebif, which is another interferon like betaseron - http://www.
Avatar f tn It is my 2nd week on the triple therapy and the side effects that I have been experiencing seen to be very mild. But there are some noticeable changes that I am still trying to get my head around which are: Over active bowel movement - it doesn't mean that I am suffering from diarrhea but probably with helps from a healthy diet regime that I am on at a hospital, I go to a loo at least three times a day Static shocks - I get what it feels like static shocks in my hands and toes.
663386 tn?1283642868 My doc said to go ahead and get the flu shot. It won't hurt the treatment and you sure don't want to get the flu on top of all the usual (yucky) side effects! I'm taking benadryl occasionally for the ribavirin rash. My doc said it was OK. Definitely talk to your doc about both, but they're probably fine.
1399363 tn?1462342610 I would check with your physician, and pharmacist because I think there now may be compounds available with give the desired effect without the side effects. You could also address the tachycardia issue and eliminate that which would allow you to take any antihistamines with experiencing the side effects.
Avatar n tn She recommends me to take desloratadine antihistamine every time this rashes appear again. i need your help.. is there any way that this allergy will not occur even though i would not take this kind of medicine? Kindly reply..
Avatar f tn Keep track of all the medications that seem to cause the hives, and maybe even experiment with whether different generics of the same medication have the same side effects (for example one generic atarax is green and another white, which might make a difference if you are allergic to that particular coloring agent). You may even have to have an allergist help you figure out what exactly it is that you are allergic to.
Avatar f tn I'm breaking out into hive for a month and a half now. I have never had a problem with hives before. I'm 35 yrs old, the worst area is on my scalp and on my bottom will flare up so badly, it's almost unbarable..Taking Benadryl daily to relief the burning itch..I'm now on Aerius 5mg. It seems to hit me after i eat. I decided to go Gluten Free for the last month now, which has helped alot. But i still seem to break out daily, but I'm now able to tolerate it..
Avatar m tn Hello, For prostate problems, antihistaminics and decongestants should be best avoided. There are some newer antihistamines on the market that do not cause these side effects on your prostate, including Seldane. This can be taken after prescription. The best way is to reduce exposure to the allergen. To reduce dust mites in your home, remove drapes, feather pillows, upholstered furniture, non-washable comforters and soft toys. Replace carpets with linoleum or wood.
Avatar f tn Side effects vary from person to person. Some people have few side effects and others have more side effects. Side effects can be accumulative and therefore can increase as time goes on. However, this is not necessarily so and some people just don't have that many side effects. Consider yourself lucky that your side effects are minimal. Keep an eye on the itching. You can take an antihistamine for the itching if it is okay with your doctor.
Avatar m tn This approach has the potential for treating MS with less side-effects and more convenient dosing than current therapeutic interventions. Stage of Research EAE mice treated daily with anti-histamine receptor 1 have decreased disease severity and delayed onset of the disease compared to controls. Also, treatment with antihistamine receptor 1 leads to significant changes in the serum IgG recognition of some healthy brain antigenic targets.
Avatar n tn Because of serious side effects I quit the use of inhaled steroids two years ago. (I am at the lower edge of stage II COPD). I substituted natural anti-inflammatories and my breathing is better for it. What had been serious bronchitis abated. I continued to use DuoNeb and Zyrtec. But the real improvement was when a respiratory therapist suggested I take nebulized Mucomyst (acetylcisteine). I have not coughed one single time since I started using it and my FEV1 has improved 20 per cent.
Avatar n tn I have tried a multitude of anti-allergins. Tavist, Chlorotriplon, Reactine, Aerius, etc. None of them have given me any kind of relief. I have been to see allergists to get a list of what I am allergic to. These things are strawberries, cherries, peanuts, tabacco, horse hair, dog and cat dander, dust mites.
Avatar m tn Hi All, I am not sure what to do anymore. I've moved to a foreign country and I have had terrible reactions to what I assume are airborne allergies since March. My eyes are VERY red and stingy almost all day + recurring runny nose. The nose is better after some sprays I got, but my eyes get so red and bothersome that it has affected my social life---I literally just don't want to go outside anymore!
478554 tn?1208034407 ok, thank you. I assume there is no solution for avoiding this antihistamine side effects. I wonder why all the over the counter drug stores are pushing this "sleep aids" so hard?
