dandruff problem solution

I never had dandruff problems before pregnancy, but once I entered my 2nd trimester my scalp is dry and I have lots of dandruff. Anybody else have this problem and a solution? Does it go away after the baby is born?

Honestly i do not know when it started but i am always using my finger to rub on my scalp looking for something to scratch off , i have a serious problem with dandruff it comes and goes and sometimes grow over night. When i have it bad i notice i have red spots or bumps on my scalp and i need help because i am very scared this might be some sort of disease ... can someone tell me what are these small red spots that appear ?

No matter what i do, for the past 9 years i have had what i thought was severe dandruff. however, i have tried every single anti-dandruff solution they sell and most just make my head more itchy. its weird cuz my scalp comes off in larger chunks than i thought dandruff was. it is also slightly yellower. it is constant, i never have a break from it. its super embarassing too, because i cannot resist to itch it and once i start to scratch i can't stop for like 2 or 3 minutes.

and for burn n irritation saclo tropical solution. i m taking capsules and applying the solution regularly n its been a mnth. my dr told me to use the solution for a mnth. About the side effects i have read it...ya i do have irritation in terms of burning and itching. Now,Im confused if I continue the trearment or not.N if I should continue then how often do I need to wash my hair in a week's time bcz doctor told me that I have dandruff in my hair n that could be a reason for hair fall.

This is the 3rd summer in a row that I have been having problems with my scalp. I have been kind of keeping track and every year, for the last 3 years, I have gotten an itchy scalp that feels a lot like a normal dry scalp in the month of July and lasts until about March the next year. It is set off by me itching it or the scalp getting irritated by any kind of touch (ie hood, hat, someone else touches it) There is no redness or allergen like bumps of any kind.

Hello, Lymphadenopathy (swollen lymph nodes) is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Other causes include allergic reactions, arthritis, cancer, metabolic diseases, and an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism). In your case if the lymph nodes are swollen then dandruff alone cannot cause it and it is caused by fungal infection which can predispose to dandruff. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist and get FNAC of the swollen lymph node done.

i have great dandruff problems on my scalp. i try lots of shampoo but no improve. for this reason i lose my hair and on my scalp there r also itching problems. and also i have alargic problems on my skin like itching. so what i do now??? to save my hair...please inform me.. bye...

Hello to all who are reading this, so my problem begins the top of my scalp with a little dandruff. The dandruff is not very visible unless I scratch my scalp vigorously. The flakes are very tiny and white in appearance I have had this problem for quite some time now with doctors giving me no diagnosis and no solution. I have numerous diagnosis. Yet they still don't seem to know what the cause is.These symptoms seem to get worse on specific occasions where I am overly stressed.

I'm 14yrs old(bday was november26th) and it's been almost a year from now and I still have dandruff!! I've tried a lot of things. I don't know what to do!it would be great if you could help me.

hello, thanks for the explanation and advice.I found a solution to my problem, and i was the shampoo that i was using. Right now im using himalaya's anti dandruff shampoo and it works. No more greasy hair. Thank you so much and i appreciate the explanation you provided, it helped a lot.

I have had dandruff in my hair.. it increases during winter. what should I do for this?

It started out of the blue, my scalp became very itchy and I could not help scratching it, when I scratched it, what appeared to be white flakes of skin came off. I thought this was just normal dandruff so bought Anti-dandruff shampoo (over the years I have tried every Anti-dandruff shampoo you can think of, even stuff from my GP).

There are some prescription remedies for the scalp as well such as Nizoral shampoo (indicated for the reduction of scaling due to dandruff) and Temovate scalp solution (a steroid for short term use to treat inflammatory and itchy manifestations of the scalp). Please make an appointment with your physician for an exam and labs.

I'm having some very bad dandruff since i got pregnant. nothing helps. I've tried t-gel and head and shoulders. Any other suggestions?

I have had an itchy scalp and dandruff. My hair is healthy and becomes oily very easily. I have picked up some Tgel, but wanted to know if nayone had any other options on what works. Head and shoulders does nothing but make my hair very oily. ANy suggestions woudl be appreciated.

First, to sooth my scalp, I am using chemical-free shampoos and conditioners (often with tea tree). I use them after a dandruff treatment, the t/gel dandruff shampoo set that contains 3 types of dandruff control, all of them are anti-fungal. I also use tea tree or sea buckthorn soap, which are natural antibacterials. (not sure that is needed, now i think it is a fungus). To sooth my skin, I use jojoba oil and chemical-free lotions. The olive oil hair product from Hollywood Products also helps.

I think this resulted in me developing serious dandruff. its been a problem for a while now. I think there is some hairloss and scalp is very dry and itchy. Everytime I run my fingers through my hand i can see flakes falling down. I plan on shaving my head and start applying some cream. Can you recommend any medicine or any remedies. I am 22 right now, when i was 15, i had very oily skin. Then i had a period of acne, dry skin and dandruff. Right now, i have these red patches around nose, around my hairline and my collarbone. The ones at my hairline and collarbone are itchy. and Sometimes i feel itching sensation on random parts of body but no rashes. I also have dandruff, it's been 7/8 years with it, I use zinc pyrothine shampoo but it's temporary solution.

I guess, be happy it can work for 1 day or 2, but it wont die and oral Ketaconazole did not remove the infection, going bald everywhere is also the ultimate solution, but not sure if Im ready, but yes you need to keep using, first see if it helps then see how long it works for, but after 14 years its the first time something works.

I've had this problem since for about seven years now, it first started as just dandruff, but a lot of it, nothing would take it away; head and shoulders made it worse and so did selsum blue. Then the flake have gotten as big as the diameter of a 12oz soda bottle cap. Then i noticed that these large flakes looked more like scabs, and as they fell off really big red spots developed with blood under them, it has been on the top half of my scalp the whole five years.
