The first doctor prescribed a steroid cream and told me to wash my hair with dandruff shampoo and put a little of the suds in my ears and on my groin. The steroid cream worked for a couple of weeks and then stopped. A few years later a second doctor gave me samples of an anti-fungal cream and told me to use it. That did nothing. So basically I've been itching non-stop and clawing my body up pretty good for 15 years.

t seem to have made much of a dent in the dandruff. Like I said, the dandruff is minimal on some days and heavier on other days with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I've tried adding some olive oil to his food, and even rubbing some on him because I read it might help, but really when I massaged some olive oil into his skin it almost seemed to make the dandruff worse. What do you all think? I have read they sell dog balm and dog moisturizers, which I'd never even heard of before.

You can tell its dandruff or dry scalp by the colour and if there is a smell present or not. Dandruff is yellowish and gives off an odour.

I have had dandruff for years. I tried washing my hair with different shampoos, tried washing my hair multiple times per day and even tried several different anti-dandruff shampoos without success. Now I'm going to start using home remedies like apple cider vinegar.

hi actually the layer of dandruff( the bump i presume) gets very hard, thus simple shampooing with tip of my fingers doesnt disturb the bump, hard combing leads to breaking of the bump and usually a chunk of dandruff(skin) comes out,but the bump seems to reappear the next day, so are the bump bcoz of dandruff? ZPTO & ketoconazole shampoo made by different companies are different ?

Which does not make sense, since I was experiencing hair loss 1 year prior to when the dandruff started (due to use of prescribed shampoos). So he gave me CLOBEX to use for the dandruff. It made my hair loss even more SEVERE and made the dandruff worse. After finishing the Clobex treatment (which did not help) I went off all prescription shampoos and started using all natural Neem shampoo which got rid of the dandruff. But the hair continued to fall.

It seems to weep and generate a crustiness I noticed. I have tried dandruff shampoo, neosporin, lotion, tea tree oil, and plain petroleum jelly. All have worked to a point, but the itchiness and scaly skin still continue. It comes off in flakes. I do wear glasses and use a headband when I go to the gym which I thought caused it. Keep it clean and dry after showers but it hasn't helped. Anyone have something that works?

hi, ı am feeding my cat with home made food made from %30-40 meat and animal fat, %30-40 proper vegatables and %20 whole grains + apple, olive olil, flax seed, yaest, parlsey....and ı give taurin tablets...is this a healthy feeding regime, what can ı do more? do ı need to use exra vitamins or supplements? because ı belive it is best if he takes it from the food...bu ı am not sure....what about antioxidant supplemets...ı use apple and other vegatbles for it, but is it enought?
