1891806 tn?1391119037 Just wondering if anyone else suffers from bruxism and/or sleep bruxism? I have both and they are severe! Because of this, it's hard to tell sometimes which of my severe headaches are Chiari related and which is because of the bruxism. I have spent a lot of money just on my Myofacial doctor but I still can't stop. Anyone else have this?
Avatar m tn Yes, bruxism (grinding your teeth while asleep) is one of the side effects of ribivirin. See about using a bite guard at night to stop that.
Avatar n tn Classical signs of bruxism are excessive wearing of teeth structure, which may show cupping effect of occlual surface, and strong masseter muscles. The best way to prove if the bruxism is present is asking someone who sleeps with you. Bruxism almost always occurs during sleep. If a night guard is well fabricated, night time bruxism and day time clenching generally cease.Seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
899169 tn?1242617019 Bruxism is common among children. There is no known deleterious effect. Treatment is generally not indicated.
Avatar n tn Can I take Hydrocodone 10/325, Cyclobenzaprine 10mg, and Tramadol 50mg together safely?
Avatar n tn Also, try a bruxism splint as you may be clenching your teeth causing the jaw tightness and sensitive teeth. If they are wisdom teeth, take them out. If not, a second opinion would be good for peace of mind. If the bruxism splint stops the pain by day 5, you need a nightguard or dentist made bruxism splint, and may not need the extraction.
Avatar m tn Hi , I know what you are going through, I am not sure dentist will be able to answer your questions, I have been in 7 dentist 5 TMD specialists, I have heard anything you can imagined what was my problem, none of them mentioned bruxism. Which is 90% reason why people get TMD problems. The atrophy if you have any (it could be just super tight muscle) could be from not be able to have teeth contact , some occlusion problems. Maybe your teeth moved and changed the way you bite.
Avatar m tn I'm not suffering from any symptoms from bruxism, except for the ground teeth. The night guard I am using is holding up. I don't brux during the day. My dentist says my front teeth are shorter than my back teeth. My dentist managed to put a gold cap on one of my molars with no problem. He says my upper incisors and upper canines are ground short, I maybe lost a little over a millimeter of length for my front teeth. My 4 lower incisors are also flat. My lower canines are so, so.
Avatar f tn It does not matter whether night guard fitted on upper or lower jaw as long as the device can eliminate bruxism. If night guard done correctly, you will not clench . However, if your device can not eliminate your bruxism, and you worry about lower teeth worn out, lower jaw device is acceptable.
Avatar n tn Dr Hagen, can tight eye muscles from bruxism cause a pressure phosphene in one eye?
917815 tn?1377498254 I dont post much (read a lot though)...a little over 3 weeks clean (again, LOL)... My right shoulder has been killing me the last 2-3 weeks, and this weekend, seems to have gotten worse; Doc said on Fri, most likely muscular...went through the weekend with Tylenol and today, pain is even worse. I asked him for something "non-narcotic" (he knows about my addiction) and he suggested Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer).
Avatar f tn Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
Avatar f tn My bruxism has been horrible lately! I have a fitted mouthpiece from my dentist, but it doesn't do much good. I still grind and clinch all night and wake up with horrible jaw pain. Are there other types of mouthpieces? What else can I do? Are there any vitamins or herbs known to help bruxism? I would love to know what has worked for other people.
Avatar f tn Four months ago I started using night guards for tmj, seeing as they eliminated headaches I had as a result of bruxism. I went to the dentist, then the periodontist because I noticed that one of my bottom lower teeths' gums had receeded. The periodontist suggested a gum graft even though it was only 1-2 mm of recession. I was incapable of affording the surgery as I cannot afford dental insurance.
Avatar n tn Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward. Due to the lack of data in subjects with more severe hepatic insufficiency, the use of Cyclobenzaprine HCl in subjects with moderate to severe impairment is not recommended. http://www.drugs.com/pro/cyclobenzaprine.
Avatar n tn My new doctor prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine for my muscles spams but I take celexa on my regular basis. I remember he told me to be careful in no combining those two. Tonight, I took my celexa around 1am. At 3:55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay?
Avatar f tn After research, seeing different doctors and realizing that I had experienced previous problems with this (and had stopped wearing night mouthguard), I went to dentist for a new mouthguard. I have bruxism (grinding of teeth, mostly at night) (a common problem) and have had it for years. It leads to TMJ, which can cause many different problems, swelling, pain, numbness, deafness, blindness, etc. It is so important to wear your night mouthguard.
Avatar f tn I recently chipped one of my front teeth in my sleep and it has a further splinter from my bruxism. I also have intense TMJ and a couple of my teeth are flattening from this. My ortho said my teeth were fine and a mouth guard isnt necessary but I've been feeling like he isn't very good at his job.
Avatar f tn Gap between front teeth can result from pathologic migration of preiodontally involved teeth, loss of adjacent or posterior teeth, or unstable occlusion. If you do'nt have periodontitis and missing tooth, the possible cause is bruxism. Seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
Avatar n tn My right temple area started to hurt a lot, I thought that maybe the cause was bruxism so I tried to calm down and use NSAIDs to heal my pain. The temple pain stopped like in 5 days latter, just 1 day later a very acute troath pain in the opposite side of where the temple pain was started. It was like that pain that you have when you get anxious, like a globus sensation but only in one side of the larynx.
Avatar f tn One other item is that I have suffered with bruxism and migrains since 2000. My bruxism is not too bad and I would only say that i grind my teeth 5-10 times a year but it is interesting that all three of us have the same thing.
Avatar f tn First of all thank you for your time! I appreciate your response. 1. don't use bleaching products, haven't in 3 months 2. I use crest pro health mouthwash at night 3. and I wear a night gaurd made by dentist but that seems to bother that paticular tooth even more the morning after I wear nightgaurd. I do clench though. What is Bruxism? and how do I remove a nerve is that surgery? Also What could I do about having a problem with getting numb? Hope to hear from you, again...Thanks!
Avatar n tn I was in a car accident March 20th, 2009. I was put on cyclobenzaprine and naproxen for 3 months by my doctor to treat whiplash from mid back to neck. At that time I had a severe reaction to naproxen and developed severe ankle to hip pain. Then my doctor put me on tramadol with cyclobenzaprine. I was still experiencing shots of pain down my arms About a month later, so my doctor had me get a MRI of my neck.
Avatar n tn Can I took two tablets of ic oxycodone 5-325, can I take my ic cyclobenzaprine 5 mg with it?
