Hepatic Impairment
In a pharmacokinetic study of sixteen subjects with hepatic impairment (15 mild, 1 moderate per Child-Pugh score), both AUC and Cmax were approximately double the values seen in the healthy control group. Based on the findings, Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used with caution in subjects with mild hepatic impairment starting with the 5 mg dose and titrating slowly upward.
I have severe scoliosis, deteriorating disks and bone spurs in my neck. With Darvocet being withdrawn from the market, my doctor put me on Tramadol, 2 x day. Today is my first day on the new meds, I feel rather out of sorts but not too bad yet. Can't tell yet whether it's helping pain or not, since I always hurt. Has anyone else switched to Tramadol? With the Darvocet dose I've been on, can I expect severe withdrawal symptoms? Thanks for your input.
55am, I forgot I took the celexa and I took Cyclobenzaprine. Do you think is something I should be worry? I looked online about the drug interaction and they say could be deadly. I am very worry. Any advice of what I can do? Do I gonna be okay? How long apart I can take those two medications?
Hi. I am wanting to quit taking Cyclobenzaprine. I took 20mg a day off and on, like twice a week for 2 years, and then started taking the 20 mg every day for the last 13 years. I plan to wean off, and am wondering what to expect as of withdrawal symptoms. Also, does anyone know of a natural med I could take in it's place?
You are right, certain medications particularly muscle relaxants and antichlinergics, interfere with the results of EMG like baclofen and flexeril or cyclobenzaprine that you are taking. It would be prudent to apprise your neurologist of all the medications you are on, so that the EMG results are appreciated in that light. Muscle biopsy can be taken up after an EMG. Consult your neurologist for his preferences and expertise. Take care.
What is the danger or addiction potential problem with using Darvocet for pain relieve? And is getting off these things going to create bad WD's?? Any advice on this and some solutions for a plan? I have been on Vic's and Perc's before and got off those before, am I looking at the same WD's with these? I take 5-6 per day, please advice; thank YOU!!
He did an ultrasound and found my overy is about 3 times normal size. He gave me a prescription for darvocet. He said it was safe to take durring pregnancy but all the info I found said otherwise. Has anyone ever taken it? I'm only 5 weeks and don't want to take anything that may cause birth defects.
First off it is better to just get off without going to another opiate or drug.. But if you have the darvocet already, and you are going to try this no matter what anyway I will try and help..
Look at it this way.. Darvocet is a lower strength narcotic pain killer than hydrocodone. So if you were addicted to hydro and were not able to taper using it to lessen the effects of the withdrawl, then basically you can use the Darvocet to use to taper off of.. You said you have 22 of them right?
It has helped me immensely, and I would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation. Your NOT losing your mind. You will be okay. Set your mind to get off the Darvocet, and when you do...you will feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your back. You will be amazed how powerful your mind can be...

I was currently prescribed darvocet for pain but it was taken off the market. Since I haven't had anything. My doc gave me tylenol 3 but it made me sick. He then prescribed tramadol but I didn't fill it after I've read about the terrible withdrawal symptoms. Is there anything else that isn't real strong or addicting that is similar to darvocet?
I have heard that Darvocet has Tylenol in it which can be damaging to your liver. How much Darvocet and for how long do you have to take it before it hurts your liver?
I appreciate any truthful info anyone can give me. I know alot of these posts are people who just tell what they think and not what the facts are.
I'm on the exactly same thing. Just worried since I'm a first time mom. I took one earlier and my body feels relaxed and my baby is still moving around which is a good sign to me (: I just hope it works. I really can't afford a chiropractor again but I hate medicines if I can avoid them. Thank you !
They diagnosed me with a cervical sprain and prescribed me Cyclobenzaprine and Tylenol-Codeine as well as applied a muscle relaxant shot and sent me on my way. I started the prescription regimen that day.
Two days later, I began to lose hearing in my right ear. It felt as though it was "full" of water or wax or the like. I visited a different clinic (as I was in another city) and they prescribed me a steroid and informed me that my eardrum had filled with fluid.
I was in a car accident March 20th, 2009. I was put on cyclobenzaprine and naproxen for 3 months by my doctor to treat whiplash from mid back to neck. At that time I had a severe reaction to naproxen and developed severe ankle to hip pain. Then my doctor put me on tramadol with cyclobenzaprine. I was still experiencing shots of pain down my arms About a month later, so my doctor had me get a MRI of my neck.
main fear if u r doing more than 6-8 a day, is frying ur liver
I will be honest/and i want other mebers to share..this is a first for hearing a darvocet user resort to sub/and i have been here close to 2 yrs...u r switching to another narcotic that is at least 20/actually more/ x stronger than the one u r on..darvocet is barely even recognized as a narcotic///tis but barely/can u do some education on what u r getting urself into?

Herion- 4-7 days acute/severe withdrawal symptoms
Loratabs- 5-7 days very bad
Oxycontin- 4-7 days acute/severe
Suboxone- 2-4 weeks bad (very bad 1st week)
Methadone- 3-6 months bad (very bad 1st week)
Not only have I experienced withdrawals from these drugs I have read all about there chemical compounds and what they do to you physically, mentally and emotionally long and short term.
Can I took two tablets of ic oxycodone 5-325, can I take my ic cyclobenzaprine 5 mg with it?
Concidentally someone else was asking this exact question with the same pill combination (the green/yellow capsule along with an unmarked yellow pill) about a year ago...

I suggest you read the listed side-effects and warnings about Darvocet. I don't know what type of pain killer it is, but doubt it would cause premature heart beats of any type. I take that to be what you have described as "prebeats". Many of us suffer from this condition, some located in the atrium (PAC) and some in the ventricle (PVC). The latter are the most noticeable.
My husband took a UA at work and it came back positive for Darvocet...which isn't correct: The meds he has taken in the last 30 days are Flexeril for pulled back muscle, Ibuprophen, Tylenol, Ceftin (Antibiotic) due to a tooth being pulled the absecessed and Lortabs. Can any of these give a false positive for the Darvocet. And how can I prove it to his work place.
