the main place radiation has been used is in consolidation after first line therapy. Not in recurrence. As I said, for recurrence , radiation has been used to palliate symptoms and suffering.

current recommendations are you get the shot of ceftriaxone and oral azithromycin at the same time if you test + for gonorrhea. the 2 gm dose of azithromycin alone is only helpful for chlamydia at this point, not gonorrhea. if you were given just oral treatment for gonorrhea, you are supposed to retest any time after 1 week post treatment to see if it was effective or not.
