Cryselle as plan b

Common Questions and Answers about Cryselle as plan b

cryselle

Avatar f tn Most emergency contraceptives (Plan B, apparently this Cryselle, etc.) require use within 72 hours of the unprotected sex and state that the sooner you take it, the better it is. I would suggest talking to your parents (or at least your mom). As much as it's going to suck and as scary as it's going to be to tell a parent, you would much rather it be now being responsible trying to avoid pregnancy than a few weeks from now when you potentially miss a period and are pregnant.
Avatar n tn I had unprotected sex just about 3 days ago and took plan b a couple hours afterwards. He DID ejaculate in me. I have had horrible symptoms including, breast tenderness, diarrhea, increased vaginal discharge, cramping and extreme nausea. Food is no longer appetizing, when I eat I want to throw up. Is this all just horrible side effects of the plan b or is this possibly very early signs of pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I took a plan B pill afterwards for fear of conception. I started back on my birth control pills the second week of February. I had sexually relations again on the 14th of February. My concern is that my 'withdrawal' bleeding has not occurred for this month and it usually occurs around the 24th-28th. Is it possible that i highly stressed myself and that by delaying medication i might have delayed it? Or does it seem likely that i may be pregnant?
Avatar f tn A few months ago I was prescribed birth control by my doctor, I was given Cryselle 28. I am 16, sexually active and suffering from moderate to sever acne. To both my doctor and I, birth control was the answer. I was not even able to get halfway through my second pack. Within a matter of weeks I gained 15 pounds. I'm pretty active as I play soccer and run often and my diet is that of the average 16 year old so not that great but nothing too bad.
Avatar f tn So I would not have any problems doing it with Cryselle which is the pills am taking now. Also, one more questions, once I want my period to come down again all I gotta do is take the whole 28 pills normally?
Avatar f tn There was a hole on the top. As I am not on birth control right now we went and bought the Plan B one step pill at CVS, exactly 8 hrs later. The thing is, my highest peak of ovulation was the 12th so I believe I was the most fertile yesterday. I read online that Plan B is not as effective when you are ovulating and that once the egg attaches it cant be prevented. An egg doesnt get fertilized until 4 -12 hours. I took the pill right in the middle of that time frame.
Avatar n tn Don't be alarmed by the lack of menstruations after taking plan b, this is a common side effect. If you're still worried and haven't started your period after another month, you should visit your doctor or local clinic for a blood test, which is more accurate in detecting pregnancy. Also, plan b shouldn't be used frequently or as a source of birth control (>2x/yr), therefore use another form of birth control like condoms and/or the pill.
Avatar f tn Just one plan b can make your cycle/body so wacky. As far as getting pregnant with taking it more than once in a month, I really don't know. But, I'm sure since one messes up your cycle, it could become difficult. I'm no doctor, but that's just my opinion.
Avatar n tn i took the plan b pill and i started bleedin as if i had my period is that my period or what? This discussion is related to Home Pregnancy Tests.
Avatar n tn so right away he we and bought me plan b one step. within the hour of having unprotected sex i took the pill. i am suppose to be getting my period in a week or two. does it sound like i am more likely to be pregnant or not? i am trying to keep cool about the whole situation because i know stress cant help, i would just like some insight from more experienced people with this type of situation.
Avatar n tn Plan B is the same thing as the morning after pill. It is used to prevent pregnancy up to 5days after unprotected sex!!! Two week window? Usually two weeks after the first day of your period is your fertile window. If u are having unprotected sex and do not want to become pregnant do not have sex around this time. The tricky thing about it is sometimes u can and some women ovulate early or late so there is still a 50/50 chance that u could get pregnant.
Avatar n tn Six hours after we found this out we went to the pharmacy and purchased the Plan B pill. She took one pill and then twelve hours later she took the other pill. She also told me that she has very irregular periods and her last period started around March 25th. The date of this occurence was April 25th. My question is obviously, do you think the odds are in our favor of being pregnant or did we miss this scare?
Avatar f tn , she still has the option to take this pill as it is not an embryo yet. It is all how you perceive it, but I view Plan-B as a last resort birth control. If someone has to take it on a regular basis then they should get on a more traditional bc.
Avatar f tn had my last period june 19, had unprotected sex june 30, took plan B (morning after pill 16hrs after, i dont have my period until now, should i be worried?
Avatar f tn Are you serious? If you want to compare then abortion is way worse than plan b. Plan b isn't an abortion pill. You're suppose to take it within the 3 days after unprotected sex before you're even pregnant.
Avatar m tn Then things sshould be fine!!
Avatar f tn Definitely use a form of birth control as taking plan b so many times in one month is not optimal. It will most likely cause titu to not have a period after taking it especially since you took 2 doses.
Avatar n tn Since I had had unprotected sex on Thursday morning with my fiance (thinking it was wednesday) I took plan B on Saturday around noon and have since continued my birth control pills as normal. What are the chances I am pregnant? How soon can I figure out if I am pregnant?
Avatar n tn Plan B is most effective if it is taken before you ovulate as one of the ways it's thought to work is by delaying ovulation. It may also stop a fertilized egg from implanting but it doesn't always. And it needs to be taken within 72 hours (which you did) but the earlier you take it the more effective it is. There is a chance that you can still be pregnant. You probably need to take a pregnancy test if you don't get your period in the next week or so.
Avatar f tn Can someone with a little knowledge please tell me the affects of taking plan b 4 times in 1 week i have not experienced anything yet but i did take it twice 2 pills one day and 2 pills the next day on to separate occasions due to being sick and diarrhea i had to take the dose again just to make sure.
Avatar f tn Will the plan B still work if I took the 2nd pill 9 hrs after I was supposed to?
Avatar f tn No, the maximum is 3 days. Also, the longer you wait to get plan b after the fact, the less it helps as more time passes. It's very time sensitive. 72 hours or 3 days is the maximum.
Avatar f tn Hi , me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex and he nutted in me and we went to go get a plan b the day after , when I took the plan b I was having horrible cramps and I was bleeding brown the flow was light and I was just feel weird the whole day at work ( I had also barely gotten off my period the same month I took the plan b i bled in the same month ) and now it’s been a month and I was suppose to get my period today and now I’m worried I might be pregnant I feel like I would have experience
Avatar n tn well about a month ago a condom broke and I used the plan B. However I used plan b for 2 months prior. now I am having brown discharge I have taken 3 urine test and they have comeback negative. I just took a blood test and am waiting for the results. how in effective do u think plan b is, since I have used it more than once?
Avatar f tn t think that was implantation bleeding and neither there are chances of your being pregnant coz u took plan b within time.. the problem is that plan b chances your cycle drastically even causing your periods to arrive 7 days early from the expected date and even have a lighter period than normal.. the hour difference won't be a problem.. so u need not worry as there are completely no chances.. good luck..
Avatar m tn It's not exactly ideal. Plan B is meant to be used at a max of 2x a year, and only when your contraceptive fails. (condom breaks, missed a pill, etc) It should never be used in place of birth control or as birth control.
1810212 tn?1316457901 Remember plan b is only 85% effective so if u are using it as ur birth control u probably should get a more reliable method good luck
Avatar f tn The above poster probably had already ovulated and actually conceived before taking the pill as Plan B does nothing once that has happened. Or she could have taken it late. The fact it was ectopic likely had little to nothing to do with her having taken the pill. I second what Chima7 said that you need to get on a reliable form of birth control so you don't have to take this pill more than just this once. I definitely would not let the first comment dissuade you.
