Common Questions and Answers about Contractions grammar definition

contractions

Avatar f tn Bear in mind, the schools definition of autsm is not as specific as the definition a psychologist or psychiatrist uses. Psychologists and psychiatrists use the definition given by the DSM-IV-TR. OTOH, schools use the definition given by federal IDEA law. The IDEA definition is more general. The DSM has very specific criteria set. When I look at it it it's like ordering the two entree lunch special from Wong's Wok.

Avatar f tn I would go to l d sounds like your water and they can do a paper test to confirm
Avatar n tn I had contractions with my second for a little over a month before they finally induced me 11 days overdue. They were sometimes constant, but didn't intensify or stay constant. They told me they were Braxton hicks because they're definition of Braxton hicks is any kind of contractions, dull or painful, that are not putting you into active labor.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 20, she will be entering her third year of college. She has never been formally diagnosed with Asberger's, but I have done extensive research and talked with several phychology professionals and some learning difference professors regarding my suspicions. (I said all this to give some validitity to my "opinion.) I was wondering if you could help me. The reason why I have not had her formally diagnosed is because I waited too long.
Avatar f tn Without * excuse my grammar I'm really tired and tried to write so quick.
Avatar f tn I think you should at least call the only reason I say that is I am 33w4 and Friday night I was also getting non stop sharp pains in my lower abdominal and also what felt like contractions here and there they had me go in and kepet me over night I was having real contractions they wanted to make sure baby was OK.
8489354 tn?1405627762 I read other posts about it being Braxton Hicks. How do Braxton Hicks compare to labor contractions? Are they just stronger, or are they more localized?
Avatar f tn I was hospitalized yesterday for having contractions at 31 weeks & 4 days. After no dialation yesterday when they checked me or this morning, they said it was just stong braxton hicks and sent me home with medicine to keep the contractions away, because it is tooo early for any of that! I was suprised to feel pain with Braxton HIcks so early. Could this mean labor may be sooner than I expected? I havent lost my plug or has any unusual discharge, no blood or anything, just the contractions.
Avatar f tn That's not hormones, that is appreciating proper grammar. I completely agree with you.
Avatar f tn Cailin, is he a "stickler" for grammar? Reason I ask is, I'm kind of a stickler for grammar, and table manners. I was raised in a home where perfect grammar was spoken, and formal table manners were used during meals, and it bothers me when boyfriends or my now husband have poor grammar or manners. Is that what you're talking about?
475300 tn?1312423126 "your finger has to hit less keys" Excuse me, but I use both my middle fingers to type. And that should read " *fewer* keys". jk Oops, I mean just kidding. The trouble is, 'common usage' is going to win out over proper spelling, proper grammar, proper definition every time. A good example on this forum is that 'acute hepatitis' is now commonly used to refer to the period of time immediately following infection, even if asymptomatic.
Avatar f tn Hello all i know this may sound dumb or may i say i may sound dumb, however i am a first time mom. Or i will be a first time mom and im scared i wont know when im having contractions can someone have patience and explain how i can know?
Avatar f tn Braxton Hicks also known as prodromal labour or practice contractions, or incorrectly as false labour, are sporadic uterine contractions that sometimes start around six weeks into a pregnancy. However, they are not usually felt until the second trimester or third trimester of pregnancy Hope this helps!! Don't worry, everything is fine! I was very concerned as well. It hurts like a ***** huh.. Haha!
Avatar n tn My due date is the 15 bit getting induced on the 9th cuz baby is too big. Gonna try a vaginal delivery either way. But I feel great.. maybe that's the problem.. no pain what so ever. I've been exercising throughout my entire pregnancy so I know that helped with the pain. I just finished a bike ride and waked for 15 min afterward and did squats with the bar and a kettle ball in hopes that contractions start.. it's been abt 40 min that I finished and still no contractions..
Avatar n tn you need to fix your grammar. i dont understand what you are saying because of the grammar issues.
Avatar f tn The previous commenter is right, if you water broke you do need to go into the hospital but that doesn't mean you are necessarily in labor. When you will be in labor is anyone's guess, your need to have contractions with cervical change to be in labor, by the definition. Good luck!
