Avatar f tn Im 36 weeks and I find my contractions happen more often at night but I feel them come on after I walk a lot or am physically active like swimming....I thought it was kind of strange that he is so busy at night but it is normal.
12861671 tn?1439752639 I'm 36 weeks and just can't sleep. I seem to be awake between about 1am and 4 or 5am. It's really frustrating as I'm too tired during the day to get much done, apart from minding my partner's two kids 4 days a week. The only time I sleep a full night is after an appointment with my acupuncturist but that only helps for 2 nights max. Any advice on how I might get some sleep??
Avatar f tn m 35 weeks 5 days and sleeping is almost impossible. Between back pain and braxton hicks contractions. Its a normal symptom during the 3rd trimester.
Avatar f tn I want to hear about your labor stories. What happened before you went into labor? Did your water break, bad contractions, bad back pain etc? How long did the symptoms last before you actually went into the hospital? Did you do anything crazy or different that day to bring on labor? Tell me your stories! I'm sure other FTM would love to hear them as well!

Avatar f tn You should have a sleep study done. I had the same thing happen to me. My EP sent me for a sleep study and I found out I had sleep apnea. You really should have it checked out. Sleep apnea can make rhythm problems worse.
Avatar f tn Has this happenned to anyone? im in so much pain and cant sleep its now 5.30am here.
Avatar f tn When your about to go to sleep your body sends out a hormone to help you sleep it can also send you into labor
Avatar f tn I had it while in labor. I will now go natural because I know the pain I'll feel I can do it. The femoral made me sleep for 2 hrs which was nice but I woke up every few minutes with awful contractions and I felt everything when I woke up but I was drugged up so bad that I was panicking and couldn't breath and didn't understand what was going on anymore.

1813627 tn?1337722375 Right before I went to go to bed I had some bad cramping in lower abdomen. I went to relieve myself and turns out to be diarea ( sorry about tmi) so after fell asleep for about 45 min then woke up horrible cramping and pain top of belly I though it was because my stomach and BM seem to be off tonight. But now the pain is coming and going and even after a hot shower and cold glass of water it's not stopping. Could this be contractions? I thought you felt contractions lower belly.
689528 tn?1364135841 There are a couple times through the book though that mention having a glass of wine during the first stage of labour in order to relax and sleep through contractions. I think it's put in our heads about alcohol and the effects on a pregnancy are sooo terrible. But would it really be that terrible to actually have a glass of wine in order to get a couple hours of shut eye?! Just wondering your thoughts ladies..... Note: a GLASS of wine....they don't talk about a whole bottle...
Avatar f tn This has happened to me many times. Because your heart rate is slower during sleep, there is the opportunity for your heart to throw more ectopics which trigger the svt. This is just a guess. It is horrible but I personally would rather have an attack at home. You should discuss this with your doctor. 208 is a very high heart rate.
384896 tn?1335294331 it's probably labor my dear lol. Your contractions can stem down to your legs, especially if Ivy is laying awkward. I would suggest trying to walk it out...it could be her putting more pressure on you, since gravity does take place when you stand lol. Everytime you have a contraction, it pushes her head down more...your body will actually expell her without pushing, thats what contractions do...they push baby out.
Avatar f tn does your baby move during contractions? if not, that means its not a real contraction right?
Avatar f tn I've been having contractions all night long. About a min or so long. But they aren't close enough together and still kinda far apart. I lost my mucus plug yesterday and though I know it could be up to weeks before I go into labor.. I don't know if these are real contractions, braxton hicks or my body getting me ready. Any of you ladies have advice on what this might be?
Avatar n tn t fully stop them just slowed them a lot, i was sent home Tuesday morning as they slowed and i was able to sleep through the more mellow contractions i was having, ask day Tuesday they were spaces pretty far apart and stayed pretty mellow, yesterday i was getting 1-2 every 2 hours, they were still mellow but getting a little stronger, today I'm getting 2-3 every 1 1/2 hours and they are a little stronger, still tolerable.
Avatar n tn I can't sleep either. I've been having contractions for 13 hours now, and I've been especially miserable the last 4. It hurts too bad to fall asleep for more than ten minutes at a time, so I've given up on sleeping. Waiting for them to get close enough together again so I can go back.
4838572 tn?1367706719 No matter what type of activities I do during the day I always get contractions at night and they are strong. Last night my bf woke me up askin me if I was okay because I guess I was whining and tossing and turning in my sleep and he thought I was goin into labor. Hopefully my baby isn't over due because I can't take this much longer.
Avatar f tn You can always try to see if it helps. Good luck. Hope you can get some relief.
Avatar f tn My belly basically stayed hard and a pain throbbed in my belly. Went to sleep, nothing more from it. This morning I woke up for work and ate a bagal and some cereal and during that I had a bad pain once again with the tightness of the belly. So is it possible to be having contractions?
Avatar f tn Its relaxing between contractions so you are ready for labor. Most of all get sleep where you can. It makes after labor easier because you will be tired but its so hard to sleep in the hospital and all you want to do is care for the baby. When you can, sleep in the hospital after the baby is born. Its really hard to but let your birth partner hold the baby while you sleep.
2181422 tn?1400511380 s been the best position for you to help deal with the pressure/pain when getting contractions. I cannot lay down while getting one! It so so much more painful which makes sleeping.next to impossible. I'm still getting contractions every 5 mins apart. Rocking back/ fourth and side to side seems to help. Just wondering what you ladies did to try and get some sleep with these!?
