nuvaring

889551 tn?1416184483 Lexi is nine months old now, and I quit birth control three or four months ago because I tried the NuvaRing and hated it (my cervix was really low when I put it in, and it made it uncomfortable). This month I had spotting at ovulation, and I didn't think anything of it until DH told me that the condom had broke two days before the spotting started. At 8 dpo I started spotting and have been spotting brown and red ever since.
Avatar f tn Throw the ring away and choose 1 of the 2 options below: 1. Insert a new ring immediately. This begins the next 3-week use period. You may not have a period but you may experience breakthrough spotting or bleeding. 2. Have your period and insert a new ring no later than 7 days from the time the previous ring was removed or expelled. This option should be chosen only if the ring was used continuously for the preceding 7 days.
392087 tn?1252605359 He is just trying to basically make my body ovulate because i have no ovulated on my own in 3 years... and i know alot of the symptoms of preg are the same as pms... i havent had a period on my own in almost a year... all brought on by provera...
Avatar f tn However, when I got ready to change my tampon, something fell out of my vagina! It looked like a piece of skin about the size of my palm and it was covered in dark dark blood, nearly black. I went to the ER and they didn't know what it was so they sent it off to a pathologist to be tested. Dr ruled out miscarriage. I'm still having light spotting which I assume is due to my period however I normally bleed heavy during menstruation.
Avatar f tn I started the ring a few days later. That month...no period, so I took high doses of vitamin C to start it. I bled really heavy for 5 days. In March I had a very light period for 3 days. And in April, it was so light it barely showed on a panty liner, only when I wiped. When I was previously on NuvaRing, I always had heavy periods. I have taken 8 tests- all which are negative including one last month.
Avatar f tn Hello Doctors and fellow fibroid strugglers. I'm 37 years old and have been struggling with a life changing posterior uterine fibroid that has been growing the past 3 years. It first started giving me pain at 3x3cm and now its 5x6cm. I have had 2 Gyn Drs tell me to leave it alone unless I had severe pain. I have dealt with severe back pain, severe bloating, lower pelvic pain traveling down to my knee and sometimes pain to the point of nausea and keeling over in bed until the Advil kicked in.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately, I had been planning on starting the nuvaring this cycle on the first day of my period. Can I still use the nuvaring even though it is passed the first day of my cycle?
Avatar m tn You started Nuvaring, it can take a few days for your period to start especially when your on yo ur first mornth of Nuvaring. It takes 3 months for your body to regulate hormones. Now if you had unprotected sex within the first week of being on nuvaring (if you hadn't been on another birth control method before) then it's possible to get pregnant. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months and had no issues with it.
1580452 tn?1296439703 d probably still have break-through bleeding for the first few cycles, she was pretty sure that using Nuvaring would regulate my cycle back to something reasonable, like, having one period a month instead of one period every two weeks. But I still have a lot of bleeding (more than spotting; enough that I need to wear a pad and not just a panty-liner) every two weeks, though it's not as heavy as a real period, and I still have cramps!
Avatar f tn every month im hoping to see my period instead of hoping to see a positive test and its getting very frustrating. im tired of it. so what is going on?
Avatar f tn Hi there, So I hope someone knows more about this. I'm on the NuvaRing and as it is quite a new thing, my doctor doesn't know it, I find that the instruction booklet and the website both give only very basic information about how it works and it doesn't help me at all when something unusual occurs.
Avatar m tn my girlfriend was supposed to put in her new nuvaring on sunday night but was a day late and didn't put it in till monday. it says on the directions if this happens you should use backup protection for 7 days. we didn't wait 7 days and had unprotected sex on friday night (day 9 of cycle) and no withdrawal method was used. she refused to take plan b because she claimed she couldn't get pregnant. im freaking out now....what are the chances she got pregnant?
Avatar f tn i miscarried at 8 weeks with blighted ovum and after that devestation i used nuvaring again and this time faithfully.......i took out my nuvaring and didnt think much of it until the next day when i started throwing up everywhere! i bought a test for the hell of it and it said PREGNANT! i was in complete shock because i had been on the nuvaring for a while! i used at end of JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER and found out i was pregnant in october!!!
Avatar f tn s a week late, take a test. Coming on and off of birth control while starting it early can effect your period. So this situation might be a little difficult. Be a use your period could end up being late due to going on and off BC, but just wait and see. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I had the Mirena IUD inserted September of 2011and removed mid October 2012 because it was slipping out of place. I spotted just a day or two with both insertion and removal. but absolutely nothing in between. I started Nuvaring the week after Mirena was removed (per docs orders). I was told my period would regulate its self within a few months. Well, here I am 10 months later after Mirena has been removed and I have yet to even see a spot of blood.
Avatar f tn s been 5 days since I took it out and still no period. Should I be worried because I was being irresponsible and putting it in a day late..?
Avatar f tn Generally speaking, no matter when one starts it you will be adequately protected after the first 7 days of use (and having refrained from intercourse during those 7 days). Best regards, Dr.
Avatar f tn This is my first time using birth control (I'm 25) and before birth control, my periods came like clockwork every 28 days and had a heavier flow for 6 days (super tampons on the first few days, then regular the last few). A month ago, I decided to start NuvaRing to put mine, and my boyfriend's, minds at ease. This past Sunday I took the ring out to start my free-week, but as of today (Saturday), my period still hasn't started.
Avatar f tn Sperm can live for a few days and we ovulate at different times even when we are generally regular with our cycle. Day one of your cycle is the first day of your period. So, you had sex on day 6 of your cycle. Greater fertility generally starts on day 9 for the average woman. But . . . you never know. You could have gotten pregnant then or any of the other days. Are you trying to determine paternity?
Avatar f tn my doctor told me I was suppose to wait 7 days before the nuvaring can take effect after I inserted the nuvaring on the 4th day of my period.. I had sex with my boyfriend on two of the days before the 7 days were up.. but we did the pull out method. I have an ovulation calender on my phone and it said that I would ovulate a couple days after the 7th day was up.. do I have anything to worry about still if I didnt ovulate during the time I had sex?
Avatar f tn I had sex fathers day and the 29th and the condom broke but i hav the nuva ring and i got my period but its lasts 3-4 days well i put nuvaring back in on july 5th then had unprotected sex (pull out) on the 7th of july i feel different always hungry n and expect period in a wk wen can i test or how do i kno for sure if test is negative could it be from nuvaring because with my 2yo i had missed period n tested negative
730826 tn?1317943334 But it was fine for 4 months and the last 3 periods were only spotting and for 2 days. It just stopped by its self. I think I'll test again at eh next "period" and see.
