Avatar f tn had to say there are plenty of null responders around, but not many who have null responded to the new triple combo
Avatar m tn Null Responder: A null responder is someone who achieves little or no decrease in hepatitis C viral load during HCV treatment. http://www.thebody.com/content/art46371.html So yes you should be treated as such, that said you are a eRVR which is great, hang in there and do the 48, i wouldn't quit with having that eRVR.
Avatar m tn The study enrolled HCV genotype 1 patients who were prior null responders to treatment with interferon and ribavirin with METAVIR F0-F2 scores (cohort 1, n=80), or treatment-naïve patients and prior null responders with METAVIR F3-F4 scores (cohort 2, n=87).
Avatar m tn Null Responder: A null responder is someone who achieves little or no decrease in hepatitis C viral load during HCV treatment. Null responders are highly unlikely to respond to re-treatment with an interferon-based regimen.
1084115 tn?1385228589 The chances of clearing are obviously reduced if you are already classed as a null responder. I think the stats for cirrhotic/null responders are about 14% for telaprevir, there arent any results for boc as they were excluded from trials. Hope you get more answers, I'm a cirrhotic null responder myself and am trying to sort out what to do next. Maybe stay in touch !
Avatar m tn supplements packaged under the label of ... Gary Null, a nationally prominent pitchman for homeopathic remedies. Null is suing the manufacturer who supplies the product on which Null affixes his Ultimate Power Meal label. (According to consumer advisers at Quackwatch.org, Null is "one of the nation's leading promoters of dubious treatment for serious disease.") Avatar n tn Phase 3 REALIZE study that evaluated people with genotype 1 chronic hepatitis C whose prior treatment with pegylated-interferon and ribavirin was unsuccessful either because they relapsed, had a partial response or had a null response.
Avatar m tn Excellent definition of null responders in your link: "null responders defined as non-response week 4 (<1 log drop in HCV RNA at week 4) or as non-response week 12 (<2 log drop in HCV RNA by week 12)"
Avatar f tn This is a question for those of you who follow and understand the trials so well. I can't seem to find the results for Boceprevir patients who were previous null-responders. I can find it for non-responders but not null. Do any of you know if they looked at that cohort of people who never had a 2 log drop and what their results were? Also did they look at stage 4 patients? Thanks. I am asking because I am trying to figure out if I should go with boceprevir....
1707536 tn?1334974077 Pretty great results for both tx-naive and prior null responders. Looking at this and the Gilead results that came out yesterday, the future is looking very bright indeed. http://www.abbott.com/news-media/press-releases/abbott-presents-promising-phase-2b-interferonfree-hepatitis-c-results-at-2012-liver-meeting.
897070 tn?1320652629 Is anyone aware of any companies that might be moving towards phase 3 and including cirrhotic null responders in their treatment population. Clin trials.gov doesnt seem to show much yet I've heard that both Abbott and Gilead will be doing larger phase 3 trials in the near future-what and when I'm yet to find out. Any info would be helpful, thanks.
Avatar f tn BOSTON — A phase 2b trial of an oral, interferon-free regimen of 3 direct-acting antiviral drugs (DAAs) has shown very good efficacy in the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in both treatment-naive patients and null responders.
Avatar m tn The real test will be how these results look in non-responders, null responders, relapsers, partial responders, etc. Alot of these drugs do fantastic in the naive patients, but the typically these results aren't quite that high on a non-responder patient. Now, if it's still this high in a non-responder patient, I'd be the first one to say, 'give me that drug'!
Avatar f tn news to come out of this meeting, needless to say, and the biggest advancement in medicine in 50 years. In this study 4/11 null-responders receiving BMS-790052 (NS5A inhibitor) + BMS-650032 (protease inhibitor) alone for 24 weeks achieved SVR12 & SVR24. The presentation says "HCV infection can be cured without interferon & ribavirin".
1893294 tn?1321217150 ABT-450/Ritonavir, ABT-267 and/or ABT-333, and RBV Achieves SVR24 Rates ≥ 90% in Treatment-Naive Patients and Previous Null Responders With Genotype 1 HCV Source: 2013 Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of the Liver* Capsule Summary Date posted: 4/26/2013 Updated interim analysis of AVIATOR (M11-652): ongoing multicenter, randomized, open-label phase IIb study[1] Or...... just go to this site and it will tell you about the trials and the results. http://www.
Avatar f tn without referencing relapsers around 60% nonresponders around 40% theres also null responders partial responders and breakthrough
Avatar f tn BUT I found out if you withhold information on a legal document knowingly then the document becomes null and void, meaning if the courts found out (if ur ex found out later and went to court or something) your dissolution of marriage would be null and your marriage reinstated, making any following engagements null and void instead and you would have to restart the process. My father is a state rep and also practice family law for many years, and thats how i found all this out.
897070 tn?1320652629 How null is null ? ie what did your VL drop look like? Your consultant's take sounds on target. Quad tx will definitely be the best option for nulls - the equivalent of what triple is for relapsers. End of 2012 for start of phase III quad trials sounds unduly pessimistic however. BMS appears to be moving forward more aggressively than Roche (who is raking in tons of cash on Pegasys sales and presumably in no hurry to see that dry up).
