I am thinking there is something about the fabric of the sofa, either the taste or the feel of it on her tongue that is causing your kittys licking. I always keep a fresh clean sheet draped over my fabric couch for easier cleaning. Instead of scrubbing fabric couch cushions or backs, I just take the full size sheet off and pop it into the washer once or twice a week.
I hope there are more members like Opus88 who might have a few insights into this brand of cat behavior....
My cat is about 3 years old and SHE keeps peeing on our couch...It is a leather couch and we thought she wouldnt pee on a smooth surface like that...but she does it...she pees between the seating pillows...I clean it everytime and I really dont know what else to do anymore...I am loosing my patience...since this has been going on for a while...always at nights when she is alone...IT STINKS!!!
23 yo. Gay and bottom. My SO and I were sitting down on our couch, a leathery old thing. Turns out that the seat is peeling and when my SO decided to get frisky and finger me a bit of the leather stuck to his finger. It didn't stay in my anus or anything, but is there a chance it might cause an infection?
That's exactly what I do as ours are leather too. I have a blanket on the couch, my pillow and then another blanket for the rare occasion I get cold.
Make sure you have a couple good scratching posts for them to use preferably with cat nip. Then put double sided tape on the areas that they're scratching or jumping up on. If they're kittens it shouldn't take them long to learn. There's also training cans. They're filled with air so if you catch them doing something bad push the button and the quick puff of air scares them enough to make them stop.

I didn't have any at all I was sitting on my leather couch (thank god it was leather) and I thought I was peeing myself when really my water broke. I didn't feel really anything until I was checked in the hospital and I got my epi. My belly was getting tighter but I can't recall that it was extremely painful. I did feel a little out of it like tired but nothing extreme. Good luck to you.
Same herea, but i changed that all around....i told my husband straight up that he stinks and that i wasnt gonna put up with it. Im a ftm and he makes me feel as if i am caring for a child....so now when he gets home from work he jumps in the shower, you just gotta put your foot down and let him know the deal.
Omg I was so tired today and laid on the couch all morning, my body said no but my brain said get up and clean. Well I cleaned even some of the walls!!! I had already got extreme nesting about a month ago that resulted in me cleaning closets and all. So for me its on and off I guess. Maybe for you its a sign! Good luck!!
