Common Questions and Answers about Clarinex schering

clarinex

Avatar n tn Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help. Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines. Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness. Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.
Avatar f tn Article Controls But on a conference call on Monday Merck and Schering-Plough executives said they are structuring the deal so that Schering-Plough will change its name to Merck and absorb its larger partner. The reason: to avoid triggering a change-in-control clause in a deal between Schering and Johnson & Johnson (nyse: JNJ - news - people ).

Avatar f tn If I saw a legit pharm name like Roche, Schering-Plough, Merck, etc I would take em a little more seriously. Based on the name I give the compound thumbs down. ; ) I jest a little, but not much. Get the data, do some research, then decide.
Avatar f tn my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain, but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.
Avatar f tn Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
Avatar m tn In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings. I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals. Again, thank you for your input, Dr. Rajput.
Avatar f tn s a matter of drug costs perhaps the Commitment to Care Program offered by Schering-Plough will qualify you for free meds. I was approved by them because I did not have rx coverage but then my doc got the meds directly from his drug rep under his "samples program". These meds are through Roche. Pegasys (peginterferon alfa-2a) and Copegus (ribavirin) which is Roche and Pegintron (peginterferon alfa-2b) and Rebetol (ribavirin) which is Schering-Plough.
184420 tn?1326739808 It looks very promising, and they’re also combining it with an HIV protease inhibitor ‘ritonavir’. I think this is the drug Schering-Plough touts as “10 times more powerful than Boceprevir” in their press release. The trial info is available in clinicaltrialsdotcom, I believe. Are you considering participating?

Avatar n tn First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.
Avatar m tn Patient Assistance Programs – If unable to access care through the previously described routes, both the manufacturers of the peg-interferon (Schering-Plough) and ribavirin (Roche Pharmaceuticals) have patient assistance programs. If a person meets these programs’ eligibility requirements, they may be able to receive the medications at a low-cost or for free.
184420 tn?1326739808 I called the Schering-Plough registry site and the number they gave me was wrong... they gave me another number but it just connects me to the GI department and the woman answering the phone didnt have a clue what I was talking about...
Avatar f tn However, I do fit the criteria they are looking for the Schering Phase 3 trial. I am trying to do some research on this trial, but not able to find very much. Is any one famaliar with this trial and if so could you give me some information.
Avatar m tn I think the nurse at my site said it was a new protease inhibitor, probably from Schering Plough since that site has a relationship with Schering already. Would still involve SOC.

Avatar m tn He has genotype 1 as well, which is the worst kind. I checked with the drug company Schering who manufactures Peg Intron and Ribavirin and they have programs to help people who cannot afford the therapy. You need to speak to a gastroenterologist or hepatologist and find out what they say. Also many hospitals will treat you at no cost to you - you need to be aggressive about this because there should be help out there.
233616 tn?1312787196 Yup, for a reading of the meeting with Merck Schering and their boceprevir drug check out the link. I haven't heard of anything on behalf of Vertex and telaprevir but I'm sure they're not wasting any time either as many ppl expect telaprevir to be approved first. In August Merck Schering said that they will be filing an NDA in 2011. Vertex has their Ambassador program intact and waiting in the wings to promote tx and whatever else comes down the pipeline.
Avatar f tn Here is a webpage with many links to the IDEAL study; this was sponsored by Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals to evaluate the differences between the two drugs. Not an easy task, as the results show. The official party line indicates there is very little difference between the two drugs in treatment outcomes, but there has been discussion about the study design that might be less than ideal :o). http://tinyurl.
