Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help. Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines.
Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness.
Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.
You mention breathlessness but believe me, without this drug you will feel
vrery uncomfortable and be gasping for air. Taking its half life, 2.5mg lasts just over 24 hours and I forgot to take my pill one morning. In just 2 hours I was panting like a horse just finished a race and felt terrible. Within 20 minutes of taking the medication I felt comforable again. When being held back by a strong beta blocker, keeping fit is quite

my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.
Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings.
I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals.

First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.
40pm. With 1.25mg at 9:30am and 1.25mg at 3pm. I feel like HIV would have been dead, by the time I was tattooed, and curious to know if Biotin would have affected my results, and need to get retested. Thx again.
I decided to give it up in February 2012 going off slowely with 2.5mg for a month. I am now in July and I am in terrible trouble, very strong beating of my chest, yes all the taste problems and just not a happy person, in fact my personality has compeletly changed. I am scared. Maybe I should have taken valium 2.5mg for a few months instead of just 6/7 weeks.
So, if you took 5mg Xanax, 12-15 hours later, your body would excrete 2.5mg. 12-15 hours later, 1/2 of the 2.5mg would be excreted and so on until it was completely out of your body.
Depending on why you need this information, you're actually lucky. Xanax has a notorious short half life. There are many meds out there that have half lives of days, even weeks!
I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.
Has anyone given birth to healthy baby while taking 2.5mg of methadone a day? I have weaned myself from 20mg down to 10 mg to 5mg and now 2.5 mg over the last three months (when I started taking it to combat w/d from abusing percocet). So far I feel no discomfort. I'd appreciate any advice as I have no one to talk to about this. I'm just very scared for my baby.
The psyc that I talked to there said often people are sensitive to anxiety meds and theat she has even started people out at 2.5mg of celexa and worked them up. My old pysc wrote me the RX for celexa in January and I never got brave enough to try it. He also mentioned trying elavil(which I took 5mg of 6 years ago for migraine prevention) I discussed it with my GP and she called me in the elavil and said I could try that or the 2.5mg of celexa to see what happens.
I have GAD. This morning I took 2.5mg. of valium and waited an hour and nothing. So, I took the other 2.5 mg. 2 hours later, whoa..... quite sedated! I have to be someplace this evening so I'm hoping that the effects will ease up just a bit.
Is this normal? I guess I should have waited longer on the 2.5mg. but from all I've read, it takes anywhere from 20 min. to one hour to get full effect and when I felt nothing after an hour, I took the other half.
I have run out of Isosorbide mononitrate (Duride), can I increase my 2.5mg amlodipine to 5mg while I am waiting for my prescription?
What really helped me was Clarinex prescription from my doctor. It doesn't work right away. They do have claritin OTC but it is less strong. It takes a while but then it works after a while and then I hardly had any allergies. Another thing you can try along with this is daily Nasal crom spray. It doesn't harm the nose like other nasal sprays.
I am in need of some advice or support while I attempt to go off 2.5mg of Lexapro. The first time I came off from 5mg and did a gradual decrease down to 2.5mg and stopped. I experienced withdrawals even from this small dose, dizziness, brain zaps etc. After 2 weeks I decided to go back on and experienced horrendous anxiety for nearly 2 months until the medication stabilized.
The second time I decreased very gradually until I was nearly taking the equivalent of 0.
5mg over the coarse of a month. After getting to 2.5mg for a week we went one additional week taking 2.5mg of escitalopram at night and 10mg of Prozac in the morning. The transition was really difficult, but the withdrawal symptoms have gone away. Today the psychiatrist said to stop the escitalopram entirely and just take 10mg of Prozac each day.
I am hopeful the Prozac will help her feel more energetic and motivated to do things and most importantly get her to stop thinking about suicide.

I am weaning of Lexapro... only 2.5mg though haha. Not very much... don't know if there is even a way to wean off of 2.5mg lol.
Anyways, it does give me a sexual side effect too.
Takes me forever to achieve orgasm...
It's like the Lexapro makes you lose that "good sensation/feeling" while performing.
