clarinex high

Claritin and Clarinex (they work very differently) might help. Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines. Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness. Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.

ummm about 3 months ago I passed my first stone, doctor told me to go on a high protein diet.... I use to drink ALOT of soda but since than have stopped but I noticed when I pee now and I look in the bowl I can see a clear or sometime yellow goo or jelly....I also notice my pee is very yellow....should i be scared?????????????

my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.

Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.

In the meantime, i have switched allergy medication from Clarinex to Xyzal, which may also be helping a little. I now take the allergy medication before bed whereas before, I had been taking Clarinex in the mornings. I notice that the problem of too much mucus seems less prevalent in the mornings upon waking up. It worsens in the afternoon and evening, especially after meals. First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.

I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.

What really helped me was Clarinex prescription from my doctor. It doesn't work right away. They do have claritin OTC but it is less strong. It takes a while but then it works after a while and then I hardly had any allergies. Another thing you can try along with this is daily Nasal crom spray. It doesn't harm the nose like other nasal sprays.

Try stopping current contact lens if you have them, try an oral antihistamine like Zyrtec, Claritin, or Clarinex, try an allergy drop like Patenol, Pataday, or Elestat, find out if you have allergies by seeing an allergist, then control any allergens that you are exposed to, see an ophthalmologist to be evaluated for possible oculare allergies, and also to be checked out for dry eyes. ve been having similar problems with my hearing. I went to the doctor and he gave me clarinex and flonnase. The medications did nothing. I have spoken with two other people that have had similar issues with their hearing. One person said his problems went away after one month. I've had problems for one month and it doesn't seem do be getting any better.

I went to my doctor when experiencing thick post nasal drip, dizziness, puffy eye and she diagnosed me with a sinus infection and put me on augmenten for 10 days. The mucus is now clear but the thick clear sticky post nasal drip is still chronic. I'm constantly snorting and spitting up mucus. I went to the ENT and he prescribed Nasonex and Mucinex. But it did not help. He then did a scope and found an abudnance of thick sticky mucus and he suctioned some of it out.

I have taken at least 10 different inhalers, clarinex, antibiotics, antacids, and nasal spray. Nothing works. I now also have a small lump behind my left ear (not sure if it is related in any way or not). If this was due to allergies or asthma, wouldn't the inhalers and meds have helped? What other possibilities could there be or should I be trying something else or getting another opinion a this point.

I am currently taking Clarinex and prescription nose spray wit a steroid in it. Nothing helps my allergies. it is so bad i cannot even irrigate my nostrils with a neti pot- the water doesn't drip through. I a supposed to start allergy shots on tuesday of next week. Does anybody have any insight to this? Will this work for me? I was considering getting a surgery to clear my nasal airway. i know it won't cure my allergies but will help my quality of life.

I have always had difficulty breathing in high humidity. My doctor told me that I am most likely allergic to mold, and the humidity is causing this to be worse. I have been prescribed an albuterol inhaler, and usually only have to use it about 3 weeks out of the year. Otherwise, I take Singulair year round. This year the humidity is especially high. I have had trouble breathing for over a month now.

i finally saw a doctor today after a year of sinus and eustachian tube symptoms and off and on dizziness. mostly it was the spooky dizziness that made me want to see a doctor.

They ran other tests ... CT scan came back ok.. my white bld count was on the high side and they wanted to do an LP.. I was scared however and though I might just go home and try to wait it out.. My head ache is horrible, piering pain that comes in waves, im sensitive to the light... should I still be concerned? I never really got any anwsers of what it was exactly??

re in the US or other industrialized country, and if your partners are not injection drug users or immigrants from countries with high HIV rates (or a few other obvious high risk factors), the chance any of them has HIV is near zero. Since you're nervous about HIV, have a blood test for reassurance purposes. It will be negative.

She told me that my x-ray looks ok, but my eardrums looked rather tight/slightly swollen. She thinks I’ve got a chronic sinus infection. She put me on Clarinex and 2 nasal sprays to fix the problem. This may be early hypothyroidism -- most common cause would be hashimotos (autoimmune) which may cause a swelling of the thyroid. Would consider imaging of the neck and with all the symptoms a CT may give more info than ultrasound, but ultrasound is better at looking at thyroid specifically. Normal T4 is common with slightly high TSH. The low BP and high pulse rate may not be thyroid related.

i did go into a walkin clinic so thats how i got that diagnosis. i was prescribed a combination of nasonex and clarinex, then a round of allegra d. the first two meds seemed to help, but i wonder if it was possible a desperate kind of placebo effect. the allegra d sent me into panic attacks, which i assume was because the pseudoephedrine in it, so i stopped taking it and of course now my symptoms are back. any input? please?

He thought part of this could be due to a snus infection. His MD ordered an MRI, placed him on Avelox x 10 days, Clarinex daily and Ultram 200 mgm daily & ordered an MRI of the brain. The Ultram 200 was too strong and it was decreased to 100 mgm daily.

Hi Christy, Thanks for writing :) How did your son end up on that high dose? I'm guessing because he needed it to get the effect he needed. I'm familiar with high doses because with my intestinal bypass, I don't absorb medication like normal folks and need about twice the dose. It's a bit of a problem not because my docs won't prescribe the high doses, but if even the high doses don't quite do it, some docs won't go higher for fear of the unknown!
