First is the cough from a problem in side or something you are breathing in? A good test I use is a HEPA filted mask. (the kind you can get in the hardware store with canisters). Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing.

What other possibilities could there be or should I be trying something else or getting another opinion a this point. I am 37 and have never had a history of asthma and have no history in my family either. Nobody else in the house is sick.

Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.

my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain,but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.

I have also had a chest XRay, which my physician said was clear. An ENT doctor examined my nose and throat using a camera probe and indicated that my vocal cords were slightly infamed -- but that was about it. Even with all that, I can't seem to shake this condition loose. How can I rid myself of this condition once and for all? Should I request a CT Scan for further examination of this condition?

ve been having similar problems with my hearing. I went to the doctor and he gave me clarinex and flonnase. The medications did nothing. I have spoken with two other people that have had similar issues with their hearing. One person said his problems went away after one month. I've had problems for one month and it doesn't seem do be getting any better.

I'm scheduled to have a VNG on Tuesday at 3:15pm. I'm a migraine sufferer and I haven't gotten a clear answer from the audiologist about whether Effexor and Topamax will interfere with the results of the VNG. I had asthma since I was five and it is getting worse and worse coz my chest and lungs is feeling really painful whenever I do sports and I no longer can do sports as long as I want now. I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.

Sometimes, a damp enviroment can cause mold. If there is mold in the house, then yes, the asthma could get a little worse. My little sister has asthma, and we don't have to keep the house extremely dry for her. But a dehumidifier wouldn't hurt to have around.

I was diagnosed with asthma and copd~ but a breathing test proved otherwise and ultimately all my other doctor visits simply dismissed me as having anxiety/panic attacks and probably a hypocondriac. i do know that beta blockers are not for people with asthma, but i thought if anyone knows if i could take a low dose beta blocker for my anxiety and tachycardia and this low dose beta blocker would not affect my asthma too much.
