In the 12 years since the kids were born sex has been very infrequent, 4-5 times a year, sometimes not even that and this caused me real frustration, I love my wife and despite that she's put on weight I still find her attractive, which I keep telling her (not about the weight bit) but it makes no difference.
Now i am on treatment and in the end of first month the virus was not foundable in my blood -i cleared it (but they told me i have to heal 6 months) couse i am genotype 3.SO my question is -i am starting to feel my libido coming back -still not finding any pleasure in sex but ...deffenetrly feeling is comin.I know that in most of the cases the treatment makes you loose your libido but in my case it didnt.Does this mean i am again going to be normal after the threartment ends.
But with being back on citalopram. I am back to sleeping between 12-14 hours a day with strange dreams and no libido etc.
I am currently back to only 15mg so far which is too low, will soon need to increase.
Taking my Saffron,Holy Basil, d3, half rhodiola and coconut oil so far.
Anything I can add or exchange to energize without anxiety increasing.

I gained about 30 lbs on Citalopram. I work out and eat healthy. I just saw a new doctor and he believes the Citalopram is causing my weight gain. I have been on it for about 18 months. I am now taking half a pill of Citalopram in order to wean myself off of it. My doctor then prescribed me Bupropion HCL (take twice a day). He says that should help with weight loss. Has anyone had good experiences with Bupropion? Did you gain weight on Citalopram? Thanks!!!
I stuck it out and once the side effects cleared I felt great - more sociable/connected to people and increased confidence (and libido!).The only down side was that my appetite came back with a vengeance
I have gained around 15-20lbs since going on it and this is really starting to get me down. Has anyone switched from Prozac to Citalopram (or another AD) and lost weight? I'm in the UK where they don't prescribe Wellbutrin unfortunately.
hi i suffer with really bad health anxiety,i was taking 10mg of citalopram when i was pregnant but i was increased to 20 a few months back as i didnt seem to be making progress,i was worse in some ways,since my increase i have noticed some improvements.
Hello, I am a 54 year old male with severe anxiety and am taking 40 mg of citalopram and lotrel for bp issues. I recently read that citalopram can cause long qt syndrome and since my anxiety issues are driven by my health, I am concerned. My resting heart rate is in the low 50's, I have no family history of long qt, but with my low heart rate I wonder if I should cease to use citalopram. My doctor does not feel this is a problem but I thought I should seek other opinions Thanks .

Hi guys - I 've been suffering from GAD for some time now and I've been taking citalopram for 2 weeks. I have dizzy spells during the day that come and go- I'm getting bit nervous cos of it- is this a normal side effect of the citalopram? Thanks !
but after huge waves of depression due to the lack of energy,fatiuge ect i was totaly exhasted so i started to take this new citalopram the doctor prescribed. I have been taking them for 4 weeks now and already am felling really good.
Infact i cant belive the vast improvement. I have had no migranes,no brain fog, no dizziness am thinking on my feet my vocab has speeded back up and i can thin clearer than i have in the past 2 years.
