You can also manage this stuff by buying a good herbal -- Prescription for Nutritional Healing and its companion Prescription for Herbal Healing are pretty good places to start. If you Google citalopram, it will also list contraindications, and some sites will have herbs as well. I don't know that saffron will be listed, though, as it's not been as commonly used as many others.

That was fun to google -- lots of porn there. This appears to be a pharmaceutical product combining three medications for cold and cough. The antihistamine part apparently can be sedating, as so many medications are, but as it's a side effect and you can't take too much of it, I'd probably give this a pass. I'd try some melatonin 1mg and see if that helps.

Hi, If you & your husband are not trying to have children, and thus the B.C. pills, until your anti-depressants kick in, I would use a "rubber" along with your BC pill. Meanwhile, while you're doing that, I would ck out the internet site that is put out by the makers of your anti-depressant (apo-citalopram or "citalopram") and look under the medicine's description.

There are no contraindications to taking the medications listed together. Synthroid has an interesting history. It is a "brand name" and the composition of the product has changed several times since it's introduction. The B12 supplement should be sublingual with folic acid.

I gained about 30 lbs on Citalopram. I work out and eat healthy. I just saw a new doctor and he believes the Citalopram is causing my weight gain. I have been on it for about 18 months. I am now taking half a pill of Citalopram in order to wean myself off of it. My doctor then prescribed me Bupropion HCL (take twice a day). He says that should help with weight loss. Hello, I am a 54 year old male with severe anxiety and am taking 40 mg of citalopram and lotrel for bp issues. I recently read that citalopram can cause long qt syndrome and since my anxiety issues are driven by my health, I am concerned. My resting heart rate is in the low 50's, I have no family history of long qt, but with my low heart rate I wonder if I should cease to use citalopram. My doctor does not feel this is a problem but I thought I should seek other opinions Thanks .

but after huge waves of depression due to the lack of energy,fatiuge ect i was totaly exhasted so i started to take this new citalopram the doctor prescribed. I have been taking them for 4 weeks now and already am felling really good. Infact i cant belive the vast improvement. I have had no migranes,no brain fog, no dizziness am thinking on my feet my vocab has speeded back up and i can thin clearer than i have in the past 2 years.

If you been on the meds for a while then you are getting ill, chances are it's not the med. Have you been on other meds in this class before? Citalopram is a good drug and the side effects are pretty minimal for most. I would get a full check up to make sure you rule out bladder/kidneys infections. Anxiety can cause tummy troubles, I've had the trots from anxiety in the past, and I've had peed more from that as well.

I have never, persoanlly, taken citalopram, but there are plenty of folks here who have and hopefully they will respond with their experiences with this med. Most of us with an anxiety/panic disorder are "wary" of side effects. But bear in mind that we are all different and your son may not experience any, or if he does, he may find that they are bearable.
