I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
I have the worst taste in my mouth. First, it started off as a metallic/copperish taste. Now, it's progressing to a soapy taste. No matter how much I drink, brush my teeth, or rinse my mouth out with soap, I still have this awful taste. I went to the dentist today and he said everything was fine... no gingivitis, irritation, etc. Nothing.
The only thing I can think of is I took an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) for a sinus infection weeks ago. Other than that, nothing.

It is difficult to say if they are due to the underlying disease or due to ciprofloxacin. You should consult your doctor for a complete evaluation and diagnosis.
I am experiencing swollen scrotum/testicles in which they seem to swell up and retract. I also have pain that comes and goes in the urethra close to the body (not the head). No pain during urination and no discharge. I got tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV RNA at day 5 and day 13 after possible exposure and both came back negative. My symptoms started happening 5 days after my last sexual encounter. It has been 3 weeks with this pain now.

I have been taking Ciprofloxacin but hasn't really helped. I'm getting frustrated. Took chlamydia/gonohrrea/trich vaginosis after 5 days of protected sex with a girl I don't know much and all came back negative.

I had a swollen right testicle which was treated by ciprofloxacin 500g twice daily. The swelling went and the pain in the testicle reduced but then my left one started to hurt, is that conman for the infection to swap sides. I also have pain in my lower back and lower abdomen and very painful headaches. The doctor didn't seem to bothered about it or even check it over. They have prescribed me another 10 day course of ciprofloxacin.
certainly you can get non-std related infections in your urogenital area. best to be seen and get some basic urine testing done to confirm that indeed something is going on. you don't want to needlessly take antibiotics in this day and age - they do potentially far more harm than good :(
doxy is the preferred medication and if you do have something going on, your provider will most likely prescribe that. some do still prescribe cipro but we try to avoid it when we can in general.
Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now?
Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.
Due to the above issue my wife's menstrual cycle extends upto 40 days if we do an intercourse. But if there is no intercourse it becomes normal of 30 days.
Dear Doctor, I have cronic Hep B, I was diagnosed 2 years ago and was told I have very low levels of the virus in my blood counts, this has remained un changed while I have had regular tests, scans show no adverse scarring or damage to the liver. It believed I contracted this as a young child, through my parents.
I have been put on a course of ciprofloxacin for a csyt post vacectomy.
Is this medication safe for me to take with HBV?
I've been taking Ciprofloxacin for about a week. On tuesday I went to the gym for the first time in a while, and for the past few days my shoulder muscles have been sore. I saw on the instructions with my medicine that there's a risk of tendonitis while taking Ciprofloxacin, is this something I should be worried about? I wouldn't have exercised that much if I had known. The soreness has been getting steadily better.
Then chest x-rays were done, and Prednisone, Ciprofloxacin, and Aminophyline perscribed. All these medications were stopped by the vet at intervals as she didnt improve. Then x-rays (additional views) were done, and then Urine cortisol ratio, ultrasound thorax and ultrasound abdomen. Finally an ATCH stim test was done, and all came back normal. Initally she drank a lot of water, but this has slowed down. She eats well, and doesnt appear to be in pain.

I am a boy 27 years old. I can’t empty my bowel, there is inflammation in my rectum and doctor after colonoscopy said it must be proctitis, and gave some medicines “ Ciproxin 500 (ciprofloxacin), Metronidazole tablets USP 500mg, NT-TOX (NITAZOXANIDE)”, by taking the pills I instantly got cured, but by the time the medicines were finished, again I have the same problem.
So whenever I have antibiotics its inflammation goes away, but when I don't consume antibiotics it comes back.
