I have been tested twice for STI and Tested once for Herpes 1 and 2 but doctor asked me to use cotton swab by myself where sore were healing all results came negative. I can observe every day those lesion disappear and reappear again same day.
I went to other clinic and he did culture test for my urine and told me there is bacteria he prescribe me antibiotic and i felt well after consuming ciprofloxacin.

Thinking that it was caused by an std,I want to the doctor who gave me a ceftriaxone injection and put me on ciprofloxacin pills for 3 days.
The symptoms went down drastically but they never completely went away.
well i got oral sex from a girl, then two days later i had pain and burning in the urethra, so i went after five days from exposure and got test and for everything, gon,clam, and herpes, the igm herpes test came back positive, i had no blisters, no itching, and no discharge, only thing is that after i urinate the urethra feels like its burning, so i went to my dr and told him about the test and he said its herpes and send me on my way, then around 20 some days in my left testicle started hurtin
m sure you can safely stop the ciprofloxacin (ciprofloxacin was the wrong treatment for NGU anyway). As uncomfortable the symptoms have been for you, there will be no lasting harm.

I recently developed a urinary tract infection. The physician that treated me said it is very uncommon for younger males to develop UTI's. He said the probability of me having a STD was high.
The only sexual experience I have had, outside of my relationship with my girlfriend, was oral sex that I received from a random women 2 months ago. No symptoms have ever occurred until my UTI and I know my girlfriend is not sexually active with anyone else besides me.
Took a 100 mg Doxycycline every 12 hours for 5 days and a 500 mg Ciprofloxacin every 12 hours for 1 day.
Discharge reduced but it picked up again in a few days.
Microscope exam results read "Gram Positive Cocci - medium amount" and "Leukocyte Reaction - Observed".
I took a shot of 2400000 units of Procainic Penicillin, which had no effect.
After the above, Thayer-Martin culture for Neisseria Gonorrhoeae and direct immunofluorescence for Chlamydia trachomatis.
I was prescribed ciprofloxacin because the MD thought I might have urethritis. The meds seemed to help and I felt good. 2 months later, the same exact symptoms are back and its currently been an ongoing 10 days. Just burns when I sit still. I did take a very close look down there with a flashlight and saw some pin sized bumps on the penis head but they are the same skin color.
As of now im waiting for another trip to the urologist (a month away) and it looks like experts arent accepting any new posts at this time. Any advice out there?
P.S. Spouse had pap smear about 2 months after encounter, came back with HPV. (No other STD symptoms for her) Not sure if this is the cause? Or if a pap would detect anything other than an HPV. Thanks in advance!
I was prescribed 500mg ciprofloxacin for 10 days with minor relief. I was sent to a urologist who did seem to think I got a prostate infection of some sort even though its rare through sex, and prescribed me 30 days more of cipro. It still does not feel normal down there and it is March 17, the burning subsided but sometimes i feel my urethra like there is something in it or inflamed and it is remaining on my mind constantly and I do believe it could be something else.
Within 2 or 3 days, I had the feeling of constantly having to urinate. I went to a local clinic for testing, where the doctor saw no visual signs of infection, and with only my description of having to urinate or feel like urinating constantly, diagnosed NGU. I was given a seven day supply of Doxycycline, 2 times a day. I just finished the last dose today, but I still have the feeling of needing to urinate throughout the day.
My main question is how long do the symptoms usually last?
ve been to the doctor twice already, the first time being advised to drink more water and the second being put on the antibiotic Ciprofloxacin, but both have produced no substantial improvement. I also have noticed some unusual sensitivity around the tip of my penis lately with what looks like a little red vein running from the meatus to the edge of the head.
Could this have something to do with the constricted urethra + urine combo of the first incident?
I was given 4 250mg pills of azithromycin to take today and then told to follow up with Ciprofloxacin (500mg tabs twice daily) for 7 days. The concern is that 5 days after getting the unprotected oral from the "pro", I got the same from my wife (we haven't had any other intercourse since) My question is: could I have given my wife NGU when she gave me oral? If not NGU, some other form of infection? How serious could it be? What are the risks for her at this point.
Now 6 and 1/2 weeks post exposure I still have this weak pain while urinating and still sore throat for like now 3-4 weeks. I tested for HIV yesterday and it was negative. Please give me some reasonable advice and I don't want to destroy my liver and kindeys with any more useless antibiotics. Thank you.
i made an appointment with a urologist and he stuck a tube down the urethra to have a look he said everything looked normal he prescribed ciprofloxacin for a 10 day dose and if sympthoms still persisted he precribed metronidazole for ten days in case of prostitas....Sympthoms are still here and im half way through the metronidazole.. i finshed the ciproflaxcin ten days ago already...

I am just worried if I got some STD cause of the tingling , I had ciprofloxacin 500mg twice for three days , now I was thinking for having 1 g azithromycin to make sure everything is cleared up Chlamydia and Gonorrhea or something else too.
Three weeks later I was having a sensation in my penis, needing to urinate more, back to the doctor he did both urine and swab, under the microscop he said due to the white blood cell he was going to send it to the lab, only because of my symptoms, as he had done the previous tests he said he would be amazed if it were std related. He gave me 7 days of Doxycycline and another antibiotic for Urethritis. The results all came back clear.
