Yesterday night i had a fever with about 37.8 Celsius and right now my chest hurts and the inside feels like it itches. What should I do? Is it because the infection has traveled? or the chest pain is because of the spreading infection?
we consult another doctor.he is taking floxabid 500(ciprofloxacin)for 12 days.he recovered a little(in between once temp was102 deg F).but not fully.his weight is constant for 15 days 75 kg.Is it serious somthing.we are getting frightened.please suggest.....

I was prescribed ciprofloxacin to treat what might be suspected as prostatitis following the STD. I took ciprofloxacin for approx two months. I had to stop taking ciprofloxacin due to side effects. The symptoms have since continued, and I have almost daily pain in my pelvic floor region.
The pain feels like my pelvic floor region is tightening up and pulling the scrotum and penis inwards. Around the anus it feels hot and tight. The whole area feels 'pinched' and sore.

I'm 22 years old guy, I have a pharyngithis and tonsillits for 2 weeks, the doctor gave me 5 day ciprofloxacin ( I don't know if it works for tonsillitis ) and 7 day nimesulide. In the second day taking the ciprofloxacin, my throat pain went away and until now just the pharyngithis and tonsillits persistis.
After month of thinking i am clear of this ****, i was not and i again developed tyhpid when i started to have fever on and off again, i went for typhoid test it came back positive. The doctor wrote a stool culture and sensitivity test.
CULTURE : Growth of salmonella spp. obtained after 24 hours of incubation at 37 degree c.

After I explained my symptoms he gave me one dose of 1000 mg Azithromycin and 500 mg Ciprofloxacin for 7 days, as he assumed that I have Chlamydia and Gonorrhea but we didn’t take any test. 48 hours later the discharge and muscle pain disappeared, but my throat was still sore and my tongue white-yellow and my lymph node under my jaw got swollen as well and I felt discomfort on the head of my penis and testicles.

You certainly received the proper treatment for chlamydia and Ureaplasma urealyticum, the two bacteria that I would think most likely to have caused your symptoms. Gonorrhea would also likely have been killed by either of these ( but they are not first line treatment choices to this). The persistence of your symptoms is troubling and I would suggest treatments aimed at the symptoms: ibuprofen around the clock for a week, warm baths, avoid ejaculation.
2 for 3 months in a row and all came back negative. STD medication i recieved was ciprofloxacin for 15 days twice a day and my wife also took it and than my last results on Mycoplasama came back clear. My wife on the other end is having fever constantly every two weeks, it goes away and come back with hig fever and she takes antibiotics and she gets sore throat every now and than from last three months and it is coninuing. I am scared if i still have HIV or any STD that i have passed on to her!
I am 40 years old. My problem.started back in december 2017.I started to notice some tingling in my urethra, with occasional splitting of the urine stream. I went to 2 different urologists, and they both put me on.antibiotics ( 3 weeks of ciprofloxacin and after that 2 weeks of doxacyclin) with no benefit at all. (My weight is about 145 kg, previously has been 188 kg, with a length of 170cm) It started in 2006, I did get nitrofurantoin, but I got only more ill, till I even got over 41 degree fever and an emergency-doctor then prescribed ciprofloxacin which did help (this was in Holland). Since 2008 we are in UK and I have been under treatment at St George, London, till 2010.
Now 6 and 1/2 weeks post exposure I still have this weak pain while urinating and still sore throat for like now 3-4 weeks. I tested for HIV yesterday and it was negative. Please give me some reasonable advice and I don't want to destroy my liver and kindeys with any more useless antibiotics. Thank you.

Antibiotics that are specific for the urogenital tract include ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, levofloxacin, and sparfloxacin. Dosages and doses vary basedon the antibiotic you want to start.
For example, ciprofloxacin is administered twice daily in 500 mg tablets for 7 days.

Around 8 weeks later I have got some flu like symptoms, nausea, low fever, and bumps on my back which was coming repeatedly, itching, dizziness, headache, left abdominal pain, muscle pain. Immediately I went to see a doctor and he told me to test the blood & urine. What are my risks of getting HIV in this case?
