ciprofloxacin dosage and administration

i had unprotected sex 2weeks ago and am having pimples with out puss on my penis, which dried an turned to saw. i started administration of ciprofloxacin tabs, ketoconazole tabs 200mg, and miconazole BP creme. is this an effective drug for this situation?.

I had to have a root canal redone as my previous dentist did not get the whole nerve and it became infected. The Dentist put me on amoxicillin 875mg twice a day, after 6 days I called him as it was having no effect. he then put me on clyndamycin 300mg twice a day, this is day two, it seemed better this morning and by this afternoon it isswelling slightly the tissue above my tooth is spongie again and I can tell it's filling with pus.

A lot of times this can be remedied by changing the dosing schedule, ie, breaking up a once daily dose into twice a day...or changing the time of administration. Generally speaking, these types of meds (like Effexor) improve with INCREASING dosages, not decreasing. Your dose is average....there is still some room to increase. Have you noticed a significant improvement in the past when increasing the dose? If so, you may want to discuss some changes with your doctor.

In parallel, we did the semen analysis also at a Urology center. They have prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 14 days-2 dosage each day. At the moment I stopped taking thyroxine and taking only Cipro. Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now? Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.

I decided to take another test at the clinic because I felt the ciprofloxacin or one of the other medications could have possibly effected the test(I can say that I know this is unlikely because the test searches for DNA and not the organism and if ciprofloxacin still killed it partially(ciprofloxacin isn't effective in killing it the internet says) the DNA would still have been there). The test results came back saying equivocal for chlamydia.

my mother was diagnosed with mrsa in her eyes, she was cultured and it came back positive . they gave her antibiotics by iv in the hospital, and sent her home with ciprofloxacin drops for her eyes. her eyes were red and swollen when she was diagnosed with this. all this went away for about a month. now it is back. im worried the mrsa is active again. does she need more antibiotics. i know mrsa is resistant to most antibiotics, but shouldnt you try them to see if they will work?

Dentist just say wait, but I can’t bear pain in my lower front 5 teeth’s, and dentist doesn’t care to do anything. I am on ibprufen 800 3 times a day, already completed antibiotic and steroid dosage for last 2 weeks, but no improvement. Still can’t open mouth much to eat proper food and feels pain 24 by 7. A male at 260 lbs takes the same dosage as a female at 120 lbs, I would think the female would have more in her system because of her size and have more sides and/or better results. Whats the science behind same dosage fits all?

Its toxicity depends on the route of administration, duration, exposure and dosage. The route of administration is the most important determinant of toxicity. I hope this helps.

i take clonazepam and it reacts differently depending on how severe your anxiety is. if im super anxious at night i take .5mg and it keeps me covered in the night and il have to take another one in the morning. however if i take 2 .5mg at night (which sometimes i have becuase my anxiety was over the roof) i am usually good until midday the next day. so i think that 1.25 of clonazepam will keep you covered. it all depends on how anxious you are at that time.
