yes! i have an unprotected exposure.. so can be affect the ARS by taking (ciprofloxacin or antibiotics) because i did not experienced any of the sign & symptoms of HIV within 12 weeks while taken antibiotics?
No pain during urination and no discharge. I got tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV RNA at day 5 and day 13 after possible exposure and both came back negative. My symptoms started happening 5 days after my last sexual encounter. It has been 3 weeks with this pain now. I sometimes also feel my legs/feet hot and with some pain the back of my legs and buttocks. I am worried that I have something more serious but I cannot find information about STDs with my type of symptoms.
Hi I meant to say that I dint remember exact date of exposure. First I had unprotected oral sex exposure on 6th Dec2013, then protected intercourse on midlle of dec somewhat but don't remember.
So now , as u said above I am on amoxicillin + Ciprofloxacin from last 8 days now (for bacterial diagnosed on my penis) .
Now, I want to re-test for all STD's .
I saw another doctor that prescribed ciprofloxacin and gentimicin..I took that for 10days...I still have these symptoms even after so many medications...am having fevers at midday coupled with burning thighs and anus.pls what could these be??
I had test done jan 26 20 days post encounter for your general std such a ghonnorea, chlamydia and hiv oraquik advance antibody 1/2 test and all were negative. I have since had test done feb 3 for HSV, HIV and syphillus and all came back negative. Symtpoms were still persisting so i had blood test done for hiv, hsv, and cbc on march 23 75 days post encounter all came back normal or negastive.
actually sun is very beneficial to both you and baby, you need around 20 min of exposure to the sun everyday on your arms and legs, a little more if your dark skinned, your body gets its vitamin D from being exposed to the sun, otherwise you risk having vit D deficiency which isnt good, and you end up by having to take suppliments, just be sure that you dont go out in the hottest part of the day and if you do put on sunscreen :)

It is possible that you have/had sun poisioning. Any antibiotics will add to the harsh exposure of the sun. That is why they tell you to try to avoid the sun if you can or use a high level of sunscreen if you are out in the sun. If you are not feeling better soon, you should see your doctor. Please be careful while in the sun while on these medications. It can cause some major symptoms not to mention the higher risk of sun burn. Hope you feel better soon.

I visited the doctor (urologist) twice and he gave me painkillers plus antibiotics (ciprofloxacin).
I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
for 3 weeks I have and still been under antibiotics (levofloxacin,ciprofloxacin,clarithromycin,doxycycline and cefuroxime ) i went for an Hiv test 6 weeks after exposure and was negative. I once had extreme fatigue for a whole day during this medication.. My question is could these antibiotics delay immune response to Hiv and thus delay antibody production???

He offered me suppressive 500mg VALTREX, I am sexually active and monogamous with my partner (10 yrs) and partner never had any symptoms all his life. Took medication and on the 3rd day went for blood tests. Test taken 7/16. On 720 stopped taking the meds and wait for results. Results came back 7/30: negative for both HSV1 and HSV2. Lab said for HSV testing they use Elisa and Immunoblot.
Confused on occurences, results, bathing suit issue, STD? Being on suppressive scew results?
We are heading to Florida in two days and will be out in the sun alot. I wear sunscreen but am just curious if sun exposure will affect my scar. It seems like I read somewhere on there that it would by making it darker or taking it longer to heal?
Please let me know what you guys know about this. I don't want to do anything that will extend the time it takes my scar to heal or something that makes it heal darker.

For that reason, you would want to avoid the sun, wear protective clothing, and wear sun screen to protect your scar/skin.
