This would be an unusual form of allergic reaction to ciprofloxacin and if it had been due to the cipro, stopping it should have helped.
Thus, in answer to your specific questions:
1. The negative swab test suggests you did not have an STD.
2. STDs almost never cause prostate infections.
3. See comments above about cipro. If this had been prostatitis, ciprofloxacin would have been an appropriate therapy.
4. This is not oral gonorrhea.
I'd been on dexamethasone for bronchitis and then I went to hospital and they changed me to prednisone. I was also been on ciprofloxacin and roxithromycin so I'm not 100% sure what caused the rash.
On these drugs, my skin was perfectly clear, something that it has never been before. I've always had eczema and those tiny white follicle bumps all over.
I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
Several months ago my doctor gave me a short course of an antibiotic (azithromycin) for bronchitis. I immediately noticed a change in my bowel movements that has continued until now. Previously, they almost always floated, but now they almost always sink. I'm also seeing more little balls. I also pass gas pretty often, but that has always been true. I did not change my diet or exercise. I've tried eating yogurt but see no effect from it. What's up?
I read online that the combination of Ciprofloxacin and Azithromycin can be dangerous. Is this still the case, if the last Ciprodose was one week before the 2g Azithromycin dose?

Well with the discharge gone and not returning as of yet (knock on wood) it does mean it is getting better.
Yes there is another person on forum taking Sovaldi and Olysio, and he has been sick with bronchitis the whole time, he is like 9 weeks in so far. I took Solvaldi, Ribavirin, and Interferon, and didn't sick until just after Tx. I think the Interferon pumps up the immune system, and kind of protects you while on Tx. I stayed away from most people and social situations as much as possible while treating. Hang in there, keep your water intake up especially now that you are sick.

However I have finished my medication and still coughing a lot and had a fever at 37.5 (Which is warm for me, I tend to be 36.7) and today for the first time in a long time I noticed I could not breath, felt like my throat was blocked off. I am constantly coughing and it is driving me insane, I cannot sleep as it wakes me up and my throat is so sore.
Does anybody know what my GP should do next? Or what you would personally do?
Hi, I was diagnosed with bronchitis three years ago. I didn't really have a bad life style but I change what I could. So I go walking most days I've given up dairy and eat lots of food that is good for respiratory such as pineapple, green leafy veggies etc. I do breathing exercise to bring up mucus. I had things under control till i was 12 wks pregnant, I got a chest infection around Sep. and still have it now. I've taken 8 lots of antibiotic's over this time.

i've went to the doctor a year ago and was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and took antibiotics to get rid of it. However, it never completely left. I always find by self breathless, tired, drained and I hardly have any energy. I also am constantly spitting in light red blood with yellow mucus mixed in it. So do you think I may have copd?

34.4 weeks. & I have bronchitis. Every time I cough I puke. My 11 month old also has it - on top of an ear infection in both ears (which she had a few weeks ago and was given antibiotics and it apparently didn't clear up)!!!! :( she's miserable & doesn't want to leave my arms if I go to set her down she screams. I just went to the doctor, most likely viral bronchitis and he gave me an expectorant, and an inhaler (Salbutamol). The problem is that I am suposed to fly to South Africa on Monday and compete in a 3 day mountain bike race starting wednesday. The days will be very demanding and I am worried how my lungs will perform, moreover are there any possible short and long term effects.
I feel totally fine.
